Venice is absolutely beautiful. Our tour guide Sneh Wayne made the experience even better. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Venice and took us to all of the must see locations. Our train arrived an hour late, and we were worried we would not get to see much however, Sneh contacted us and offered to switch our departure train time to an hour later. I was nervous taking this tour based on other reviews, but we had a great experience. Would recommend.

This review is on the price paid vs what is received. The train ride is basic. Considering the $800+ paid you’d think you’d get better seat selection for the 4 hr ride. The booking does not include any amenities such as a gondola ride. Nothing against the tour guide as he was knowledgeable but an $800+ tour price to have someone walk you throughout the island for 4 hrs is not worth the price.

As mentioned in the tour description (the thrilling part just before the “Book Now” button), train tickets are for second class and seats could be randomly assigned by the railway company.
While we’d love to personally choreograph everyone’s seating arrangement, that particular magic trick is unfortunately beyond our control. Sadly, our powers extend to organizing tours of Venice, not reprogramming national train seating algorithms.
We do also mention that gondola ride tickets are not included.
We hope you still enjoyed Venice itself — the canals tend to steal the show regardless of where one sits on the train.

We are sorry to read this review as it is absolutely not true. We sent the train tickets the day before the tour, asking you to confirm the receipt. You sent us an email just a few minutes before the train departed to tell us you could not download the tickets. We have no other calls or messages from you and with less than 5 minutes before the departure we could not send you the tickets again in time. Therefore we feel this review is unfair because we did our due diligence and timely sent all information.

This tour makes for a long but incredibly memorable and rewarding day. The guided tour in Venice is end-to-end; our guide (Sneh) contacted me via Whatsapp while we were still on the train, met us in the train station, and escorted us back to the train to be right on time for boarding back to Rome.
The highlight of the tour is obviously the guided experience in Venice. The tour is fairly customizable to your desires; we wanted to take a gondala ride, and Sneh made sure we were able to do that (despite the challenges of actually finding an available gondolier which turned out to be something of a challenge on a relatively less-busy day). My wife and I both had visited Venice previously on tours; on this tour, we visited parts of the city that we had not visited before and learned things on this tour that we did not know before. It was great for us that it felt like a “new” experience for us.
Our guide was very engaging withour teenaged sons, who had lots of questions. Sneh has a very obvious and contagious love of all things Venetian, and that made the tour all the more memorable and enjoyable. He clearly knows his city and its history. Sneh’s recommendations for coffee/lunch and then later a quick bite to take with us on the train were both fantastic (and also time-efficient and relatively budget-friendly).
Regarding logistics, the tour starts early in the morning. We were on a train that left Rome at about 7:30am, and of course you need to make sure you are at the train station in time for departure. When booking our pick-up from our hotel via this tour, we did not realize that the tour would not pick us up unless our hotel was inside the Aurelian Walls (this was our mistake), so this is something to be aware of when booking the tour if you are trying to take advantage of the pick-up option. The train ride was comfortable, but long - a little over 4 hours on the way there, and right at 4 hours on the way back.
This leaves slightly under 4 hours in Venice. My wife and I were on the fence about whether this timing would make the trip “worth it”, but we were pleased that we both felt that the quality of the tour experience in Venice was so good, that it absolutely was the right decision for us. (We also had limited time available on our overall vacation, so this was a great option for us to be able to see and experience Venice in a manner that was an economical use of our time).
If you have limited time and cannot stay overnight in Venice, this is a great alternative to be able to get an insightful and immersive 3.5 hour tour of Venice from your home-base of Rome. As with most of these experiences, the quality of the guided experience is what makes it even more memorable, and that was definitely the case for this tour.

My day trip was amazing my tour guide Sneh Wayne was very attentive, knowledgeable, excellent manners and made me feel at home. I saw Venice with different eyes because of him. Tijana also went an extra mile to make me feel at home in their own home!
Will be back to Venice and it is all because of them. They introduce me to main dishes and Venetian drinks I felt like a local.
Overall love the tour but mostly loved the people I saw through their eyes!

Venice was absolutely beautiful, a definite must see! However, our morning ride showed up 30 minutes early and then he tried to drop us off 2 blocks from the train station stating he was in a hurry and had another pick up and he wasn't a "taxi-service". Also, the trip info stated that pick up and drop off were at the same spot (our airbnb) but there was no ride after we returned from the day trip and we had to get a $71 Uber home at 830pm.

Hello dear customer, we are sorry to read this review as parts of it are false. First of all we clearly state in the product description that dropoff from Termini to hotel is NOT included, and we told you to check on your voucher to verify this. Second of all the driver did leave you at Termini station, however there seems to have been a miscommunication and for that we are sorry: he meant that he could not take you to the train tracks inside the station, but this service is not included in the product. We picked you up early because your accommodation was far away from the station so we simply did not want you to miss the train.

This tour is much too rushed. Four hour train ride each way, doesn't allow much time in Venice. Our guide rushed us through seeing everything and didn't wait for us to look around or take photos. It felt like our guide wanted to be anywhere else but with us.

I was very disappointed with the price (804.00 Euros ) and what was included .They booked the. Train (4 hours each way - 8 hours total) and a guide that met me there. I went alone to all the sights that required a ticket. The church, tower, gondola. She walked around with me in between and was very nice but I learned nothing new. I could have easily done this on my own for 200.00 euros on faster train. I do not recommend this.

Fabio took us to the train station and explained which train to take. Su, our guide in Venice, was kind and knowledgeable. The gondola ride was my favorite part, although I somehow missed that the fee was not included. It was a jam packed day!

We paid for a private tour. The tour guide was at best disinterested. There was very little planning or guidance t on show or explain the area or the sights. The cost of this tour was extravagant but was very disappointing. I would recommend anyone to save their money and go on your own.

the guide has always had super positive feedback, she is very prepared and professional, the customer is finding an excuse to do a free tour, we have not had any communication from you about the guide if you were not happy you could have contacted us immediately, instead you first did the tour all day and then asked for the money, you wanted to spend a nice day for gratis!!!

"Terrible" rating because the tour became unavailable due to a "train strike". Not blaming the tour operator, but that's just the way I see it. Wish we had known sooner that the tour would be canceled, and we would have made other plans. We were able to see that train tickets could be purchased from Rome to Pisa. I am speculating that the tour operator was not willing to put in the extra effort to switch us to another train and keep our tour. They recommended that we switch days, but obviously, with one day's notice, that was not possible. All other days/tours were sold out and we were unable to switch. Unfortunate for everyone but the politicians and lobbyist. Good luck with the train strike!

We are sorry to read this review as we don't understand why it is posted in our business. Train strikes can happen without much notice unfortunately, and they of course might not include all train routes, so we don't understand what the train from Rome to Pisa has to do with it: the strike was for trains going to Venice and North Italy.
Since this seems more a review on the Italian train system we do not understand why post it in our business.

We were so happy with this excursion! Our guide, Alessandra, made sure we saw everything we wanted to see in Venice and made great suggestions for lunch and gelato. She also took us to the gondola ride, which we were so excited to do! She also escorted us back to the train, to make sure we got on the right one! The itinerary listed is very misleading. Implies 1 hour at multiple sites throughout Venice, total tour says 6:30am to 11pm. Reality is much less, time on the train was 8 hours with only 5 hours in Venice, if you take a gondola ride (worthwhile), and lunch, only time left is to power walk the streets

First, It took quite a bit of effort to get the train tickets. Only after talking with a Viator person did I get the train tickets.

Everything was excellent. Train very comfortable and on time. Mehmet was waiting for us and we had a wonderful time exploring the city. He hooked us up with a terrific gondola ride. Photos at all the bridges and explored several narrow out of the way streets, fancy shopping areas, St. Marks, etc. We had a wonderful day.

The two bad reviews had me concerned about this trip. But I’m happy to say that I was extremely surprised at how well everything went. We were picked up at our door and taken to the train station. I was sent the train tickets the day prior and once at the train station, everything was pretty easy to figure out. Note about the trains, they board 10 mins before. The time given is the departing time and they are ON TIME. Make sure you’re standing at your platform at least 10 mins before. We caught the train to Venice and our guide Mehmet met us there. He was fantastic. Not only a good person but a wealth of knowledge and extremely patient with us. Overall I had a great time. and would do it again.

Worst experience, don’t spend the money. They say they will send you, your train ticket 7-24 hours before, that’s a lie they send you the same voucher that you get when booking and that’s not your train ticket. Then when you call and email at 6am when your at the tea station downloading the tickets, you find out it’s not the tickets. We didn’t know since we have never been to Italy before, nor have we been on a train before and our vouchers for other excursions were the same.
Then when you request a refund- they won’t take accountability for it, which really relfects on the company itself. Do not waiste your money, that you won’t get back. It’s a joke and a scam. But your own train ticket and go to saint marks square it’s so with it on your own. Since that is what we did the next day. We really wish we didn’t spend the money on a scam

Hello, we already reported this review to Viator as it is defamatory and contains false information. The refund request was rejected because we sent proof that we did send train tickets, otherwise it would have been approved.
You must have downloaded the wrong file, it can happen but it is not our responsability. As the other reviews on the product can easily prove, customers always receive train tickets the day before the tour.
We also do not have any emails or calls at 6AM like you claim: if you called us, we would have replied and send you again the train tickets but you did not.

The tour includes on ly train ticket and effective 2hrs guided tour at venice.
Operator charges 4 times the money required for the tour without additional support.
The hotel to train station is around 15-20 tax ride. Return train ticket is around 100 euro per person. 2 hrs tour guide. Which you dont even need as he jsut walks around with you but nothing much explaination and on return no drop to hotel. So effectively 140 euro trip is charged at 490 euro. So please avoid this tour and just book the return train ticket and go on yoursefl as you will not be lost on this tinny place.

We are very sorry to read this review, as it is easily proven to be false.
We have proofs that we sent you train tickets fully paid by us, tickets that also have arrival time and departure time: the arrival and departure time can easily prove that our guide provided more than a 2 hours tour. If the guide really did not provide more than a 2 hours tour, why we do not have any calls, mails or messages from you to warn us about this alleged disservice on the day of the tour?
Furthermore, it is clearly stated in the product description that we do not provide dropoff service to the hotel at the end of the tour, it was your choice to still book the product even without dropoff service.
We also have proof that we did not request any more money out of you, please note that this is a grave accusation and defamation.

We booked a stress-free private day-tour of Venice from Rome through Viator. It included pick up at our hotel near the Colosseum, train tickets, drop-off at the train station. Our tour guide, Mehmet, was punctually waiting or us at the station in Venice. He was, pleasant, genuine, and had a thorough knowledge of Venice's history, architecture and events, and he was very accommodating to our needs and requests. We were very lucky to have him as a guide.

Mehmet was very knowledgeable and friendly. My birthday was amazing in Venice. Mehmet took us through all the major streets and gave us the history and current updates on what's going on in the city. We walked over 17 different bridges and got to ride on the boat. Wonderful day trip!
