Crypts are unusual and a must see

You meet outside the crypt 10 mins before. Your guide takes you in and you get an audio guide and go round the museum and crypts . You meet your guide back outside after around an hour and they walk you round different sites in Rome telling you interesting stories about murderous things that happened in Rome. Our guide Alitia was very knowledgeable. Whole thing lasts around a hours. I don’t think you’ll see anything like the crypts anywhere else

This was a great tour and...

This was a great tour and a highlight of our trip! Alessandro was an engaging and knowledgeable tour guide who taught us about the Appian way and the aqueducts as well as architecture. It was really cool learning about how the Romans built their city. The catacombs part of the tour was led by a separate guide who was very clear and also knowledgeable. Don't come expecting to see bodies/bones - the remains had all been relocated by the Vatican. No photos were allowed in the catacombs to show respect for the site.

Great way to see the city at night!

I did this on my last night in Rome, and it didn’t disappoint. It was a fun way to see the city at night and we learned a lot of stories and facts about some of the way “punishments” were dealt back in the day! Our guide,, Smit, was super engaging and very passionate about the stories he shared. Highly recommend this tour!

One of our favourite experiences in Rome. Get to see a lot more of the city than you may have had time to visit otherwise in a fresh and entertaining way. What we loved most were the personalities of our drivers and the feeling of zipping around on a scooter and sidecar along with the locals. Great haunted for of old Rome

A great way to explore old Rome on our first night. Exploring ancient streets and learning about the haunts, serial killers and superstitions built into some of these old buildings. Ana was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. She kept my attention engaged with a scavenger hunt for Madonnellas. Thanks Ana!

Perfect for the summer

The experience was very enjoyable. I got to discover new information about the history of Rome , both ancient and modern (with a focus on the ancient as the title suggests), through our excellent guide Joan. He was informative and friendly and made us all feel at ease. Hearing about the history helped me understand this city much better so I would recommend this tour. Also this part of rome is magical at night especially if you want to avoid the heat and the crowds.

Look no further for a characterful evening experience!

My partner and I thought this tour was fantastic! Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging and clearly had a lot of experience - the stories were delivered smoothly and succinctly at each stop but in a conversational manner with a lot of passion and enthusiasm for Rome's dark history and the people that feature within it. If, like me, you like to use ghost tours as a way to walk the lesser-known back streets of a city and to take in the vibes and the character that way, then this tour is also perfect for you. We passed through some stunning side streets and back alleys, each one brimming with charm, history and beautiful architecture to draw the eye. We also passed through what seemed like a pretty chiq neighbourhood with many intriguing bars and restaurants (we will definitely return to). Finally, the views of the basilica and the river from the bridge as the sun was setting were gorgeous, all whilst being entertained by macabre tales of Rome's dark side! What's not to love?

See Rome at night - an unforgettable experience!

What can I say - Luigi ( our tour guide) gave us a gem of an evening! Food was exceptional. Then we drove to many locations ( Trevi fountain, Spanish steps .. ) where our had time to explore while Luigi waited for us back at the van. This 3 hour tour was 4 hours that’s to Luigi , our tour guide, helping us explore this beautiful city at our pace. Such a special night! Highly highly recommend! Seeing the city at night is super fun. And I hope you get Luigi for your tour guide - if so a fantastic night awaits you!

Fun niche history out of the heat!

A great add on to my Rome experience and nice to do a walking tour at night with more of a niche historical spin. My guide was well informed & friendly. She had many fun facts about the buildings we walked through and even gave us a few “spot the” activities

Fun spooky stories you won’t hear on any other tour! Thanks Ben!

We had an excellent time on our tour, Ben was our guide for both, and I learned so many spooky stories and facts walking through Rome, things we passed by multiple times on the trip and didn’t even notice! The crypt was so fascinating and beautiful, not at all what I expected. We aware; if you book the combo tour it is a lot of walking, so make sure you’re prepared for that. They do sell them separately too if you don’t think you can walk that long, our tour finished after 10pm. We loved it though!
