WOW!! This was one of our favorite excursions we participated in on our vacation! I truly believe the quality of your experience has a lot to do with your tour guide and if you are lucky enough to get Keenan as your guide you have hit the jackpot! IMO if you don't have fun, it is all on you, not the tour!!
My husband and I traveled with our kids and their SO who are all 21-22 yo and they even had a great time. I was worried it might have been too long and boring for them, but it was quite the opposite. Keenan was extremely knowledgeable about the history, ecological make-up, and cultures of the island and shared with us what he knew. He had a great rapport with our family and by the end of the tour it was like we had always known him and he was part of our inner circle, lots of memories laughs were had!
The kids were looking forward to cliff jumping, however Keenan checked the depth of the water at the falls first and for safety reasons said it was too shallow, we did swim in the waterfall which was amazing! We were able to dry off afterwards with the towels he had provided.
The banana bread we stopped for half way to Hana was phenomenal and still warm! We stopped at an overlook and ate it with cold water/juices he provided. Lunch was at the food trucks, there were plenty of different food selections for everyone and we had plenty amount of time to eat without feeling rushed.
We also stopped at a roadside store that sold locally sourced/made items, Keenan was upfront in letting us know there was no pressure to buy anything or we could even forgo stopping if we wanted. We were happy we stopped, they had a lot of beautiful items. We also stopped at a cocoa farm where we tried some chocolate and had the chance to buy chocolates, tea, honey, and other items made at the farm and we received a great lesson on cocoa.
We stopped at the red sand beaches and the kids had a blast swimming in the big rollers and hanging out there after lunch. We also had a stop at another beach where we saw sea turtles sunbathing and lots of surfers catching waves which was fun to watch.
During the entire excursion Keenan had been taking photos and footage with his go pro which he downloaded to my phone before we went our separate ways, he also gave us the Card as backup.
We had to be back to our cruise ship by 1700 and Keenan was very cognizant of the time and was sure to get us back in time, we had no worries that we weren't going to make the boat before departure.
We as a family 100% recommend this tour to all!! Thank you to Keenan for helping our family make awesome memories on the Road to Hana Tour - Best of Maui!!!

We booked this toor with a hope to see the Road to Hana. Due to weather the county closed the road. At 5:29 on 3/23/26 the tour guide text us about the tour due to uncertainty of the road closure. At 5:30 we asked for a refund as we were disappointed with their communication and the lack of time it left us to put together plans for 3/24. At 5:31 they said “ok” with no further communication.
Today 3/24 we text the tour guide to confirm when the refund would be posted. We received a notification that the received had messaging blocking active, a notification we didn’t get for previous texts. We then contacted viator saying that the tour company acknowledged our refund request and then blocked us.
The tour company lied to viator that our messages weren’t blocked, and that the road was open and they would not provide a refund. Unfortunately the road was not opened for another hour after we discussed a refund. At no time was it communicated to us that the road was open and that the trip would still go on.
Viator quickly sided with the tour company and has not responded to any outreach.

The road to Hana is open. And was open prior to your tour. And we don’t give a full refund to people who cancel last minute. Our cancellation policy is within 24 hours. Our guide has not blocked you. We’re a small company who have just been through nearly a month of storms and full refunds. Showing up shortly after only to attack small companies is not kind. We and the island have been through enough.
We are sorry to hear that you changed your mind. However, our guide was at the meeting point at the time of your tour, and the road to Hana is open and was at the time of your tour. We have also offered multiple times to reschedule if that is what you prefer.

It can get tiresome with the winding roads but made with beautiful views of the valleys & falls
The scenery was amazing . Our host was exceptionally knowledgeable on the Hana background & was a pleasure to listen to his knowledge

The experience is wonderful! Our guide Mike is very knowledgeable and experienced. He managed the entire touring experience and we ride his car with joy and relaxation. He also brought a lot of local fun activities and food to us. Highly recommend Mike!

Sirena was an awesome tour guide. She gave us lots of alone time to enjoy the falls and the beach at our leisure. Never felt rushed. We were on island time.
Loved swimming in the falls, seeing the big turtles, swimming at the red sand beach, walking along the black sand beach, and was happy the tour included lunch.

This was the highlight of our two week trip in Hawaii!! We were a family of four paired with the wonderful Lauren. Lauren was truly a gem found in Maui. She was full of wonderful stories and truly understood the essence of Maui and Hawaiian hospitality and community. She was able to express all of this and more with us and we really felt like we got to understand how special and beautiful Maui was.
We were shown several hidden sights and many local spots for pearls, chocolate, coconuts, and more which allowed us to help the community and connect with the people of the island. At the same time we were taught the history and richness of every beautiful sight. I was afraid of unintentionally being disrespectful to the community and intruding on the beauty but I felt comfortable to be open with Lauren and ask what was okay and not okay. I felt truly immersed without overstepping and it made the journey much more beautiful and impactful for me.
Lauren truly connected with us and she tailored the trip towards what we were interested in and made it an extremely memorable and personal journey. We will definitely come back again and are exciting to see her as well. I could not recommend this tour more. We are very grateful to have met her. Thank you again for everything.

Fantastic and engaging tour experience. Keenan, our guide, was phenomenal. He combined the right amount of factual knowledge with lively conversation. Extremely knowledgable and after about two hours, my family felt as if we were touring with an old friend than a paid guide. My daughter injured her hand; he made sure extra provisions, first aid was applied in a quick and timely manner. He was flexible and when two options were available, gave us pertinent information to customize the tour to our liking. We were able to enjoy a swim in a waterfall and so much more. Great tour and Keenan made it memorable. Loved it; would do it again in a heart beat.

Keenan was a very knowledgeable guide. He showed us a waterfall, red sand beaches and took us to plenty of places to get delicious lunch/ great snacks. We also ended the day seeing lots of sea turtles. The entire trip was very enjoyable. He packs towels, snacks, drink drinks, and buys you lunch. Road to Hana was long. But I’m very thankful we had a professional leading the way rather than trying to drive it ourselves.

The rod trip is long but has a lot of beautiful things to see we went on a private small group so our guide was able to let us stop and spend a little extra time for places we thought were special.
We gave it a 4 star because we felt it was a little over priced. But what isn’t in Hawaii

Bring a sense of adventure, an appetite, a swimsuit, and water shoes. Our guide, Michael, picked fresh fruit off the trees and shared it with us. I went swimming in two different waterfalls. My wife and I quenched our thirst on a freshly cut coconut. Michael took us to a private farm where we enjoyed macadamia nuts, and homemade chocolate. Michael was very knowledgeable about the plants, the animals, the history of Hawaii, and the Hawaiian people. It was an incredible day that I would highly recommend to everyone.

We’d always heard that the Road to Hana was a must-do experience in Maui, so when I booked this excursion for my partner and me, I had pretty high expectations. But it didn’t just meet them — it exceeded them. The tour was absolutely fantastic.
Mike, our guide, was incredible — knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely caring throughout the day. He made the entire experience unforgettable. We’d book another tour with him in a heartbeat if we could. The Road to Hana is already something special, but Mike made it truly exceptional.

Michael was an amazing guide, telling us all about the different plants and fruits, and finding samples for us to try. He drove us safely on a crazy road, and tried to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves. The go pro footage was terrific.

This is the way to see Hana- Michael had great conversation, found some local fruits. We had a great time at the waterfalls and every stop along the way. Best banana bread at Sandy’s. Amazing lunch at Bruddah Hutts BBQ- huge portions, I don’t know what he does to the chicken but it’s amazing, the best macaroni salad. We can’t say enough.
It is a long day, but totally worth the full day. Bring your sense of adventure and have fun.

Nature & Scenery everywhere, fabulously guided and curated by Laura. This is Hawaii! Winding roads, waterfalls, mountains and valleys, coconuts, and some great food along the way.

The Road to Hana tour was amazing, mostly because we had Lauren as our tour guide. She's so knowledgeable about the area and really emphasizes respect to the locals and the land and has a billion different interesting facts. She took us to all the great spots, captured amazing pictures and videos along the way. She was a "tropical angel!" Best time and the best way to travel this road for our family. We learned about all of the waterfalls, my favorite was the Three Bears waterfall. We sampled some native delicacies and I just can't say how impactful this experience was! Thank you

We booked our private RTH tour through Viator. Our personal tour guide was Mike Eulb. Mike made EVERY second of the tour pure magic! It was like being with a family member that everyone loved. He was respectful, knowledgeable and just downright fun!
Everyone on the road to Hana seemed to know and love Mike. One of the older ladies referred to him as “Sexy legs” & he actually pretended to blush! We enjoyed the waterfalls, exploring caves and all of the beauty that we saw. The real magic of Maui was the way Mr. Eulb treated us like family!

Michael provided a very insightful and entertaining tour. We had a smaller group and were able to see some areas of the beaten path. He answered nearly all our questions and was very knowledgeable of the area. Absolutely recommend!

The whole experience was great! Mike was our guide and he definitely curated the tour based on our interests. We swam in a waterfall, saw the red sand beach, bought some chocolate, and had amazing Thai food. Mike is funny and knowledgeable, would recommend him 100/10.
