What are people saying about Maui

Best experience - Memory for a lifetime.
Sunday morning was the best time. We watched the sunrise, heard a Native Hawaiian chant to welcome the sun. Got to bike the 29 switchbacks twice, and then vanned to Makawao for breakfast, followed by an additional ride from Makawoa to Paia to their offices. 18 miles of riding - mostly just coasting down the mountain and there was something almost meditative about the experience. I would totally go again. They had a lead van and a chase van for coverage and they also had a guide who would stay with a group that needed to go slow and be extremely cautious. They allowed self - guided which meant you could go at your speed ahead of the guided riders. They also had the vans that if it was too much, you could stop, load your bike and ride the van the rest of the time. A wonderful experience with safety conscience group. Sunday morning is the best time - no other bike tour groups and you have the road to yourself coming down.

Don’t miss Jungle Zipline!!
Highly recommend this activity and using this company. This side of the island is absolutely beautiful, ziplines were a blast, and the guides really made the whole activity a success. They were so friendly, funny, and made us feel totally safe and well taken care of. We will definitely be back!Thank you Jason and Jake for a fantastic day!!

Sunrise/bike Haleakalā!
Oh my goodness! We loved our tour with Eddie Buddy! It was so informative. We thought we had lost our minds agreeing to arrive for a bike tour at 3 am, which meant we had to leave our condo at 1:30. Good grief, but boy were we wrong! Ahhh-mazing does not begin to describe it. First of all, we learned so much about Haleakalā and the area around it from Eddie Buddy. He knows so much, and he was able to answer any and all questions. He truly loves his life here, and he was willing to share that joy with all of us. The sunrise was beautiful, even though it was a little covered by the clouds. Who cares! It is otherworldly being 10000 feet above sea level looking over a volcanic crater literally above the clouds. It is so freaking cold, but you just don’t care. The tour group provides outer gear to protect from the cold, and it is waterproof in case it rains. The visitor center has a lot of cool souvenirs as well. Ok…on to the bikes. We are experienced holiday bikers over 50, and I had a great deal of trepidation about this trip. With instruction from Eddie Buddy, my mind was i quickly put at ease. The loopy, windy trip down was thrillng with stunning scenery. I never once felt unsafe. But if I had, all I had to do was call Wddie Buddy, and he would’ve come get me. We stopped in a precious little town on our way down and had coffee at Maria Coffee. The best coffee on the entire island. Great shopping here as well. I bought a handpainted piece of art for my home from a local artist. Also beautiful! The whole day was one to forever remember. I would do it again in a heartbeat! 10/10 worth every penny!

Must do tour!
This is a Very Simple St., Ford. Amazing thing to do the guide gives a very informative talk on the drive up the mountain then you come down the mountain as fast as you like. The bicycles are very safe. Good quality in the breaking feel secure so at any level, you would enjoy this. Our guide Remi and the entire staff, quite frankly, were great!!

Loved it
A great experience!!! The staff was super knowledgeable and we even stopped to star gaze on the way up the mountain, which was amazing. Made it right in time for sunrise which was nice because it was cold so we didn’t have to stand around and wait. We were able to leave our stuff in the van as we biked down the mountain, which was nice because we just got to enjoy the ride. Stopped to take pictures and the group had a great time.
Highly recommend!

Bombing Maui in the Rain!
We met Matt and Eric in front of a closed, flooded Target on 3/23/26. Maui had been hammered by rain for two weeks with more expected during our ride. We soon found out that all the other riders had canceled and it would just be me and my wife! Offered the option to cancel, we immediately declined. Matt agreed to take us and continue as long as the roads remained safe.
The four of us chatted during the ride up Haleakala to our starting point. We are experienced cyclists but Matt gave us a safety briefing anyway. Rain gear was also provided (and greatly appreciated). The bikes were solid Trek Marlins and we were also provided with MIPS helmets with flip up visors, a very nice touch! Matt definitely knows what he’s doing and I could tell he knows how to manage a group ride!
The first part of the ride was great with only a misty rain and lightly wet roads. The segment was made up of some gentle turns and rolling road sections with a nice short hill climb toward the end to make sure you’re paying attention! We stuck mostly to the shoulder and inside lane for this part. After a quick break, it was time for some downhill fun!
Eric followed in the chase car, staying in touch with Matt by radio. We rode center lane, cruising through many downhill switchbacks. The rain was increasing but Matt managed the pace very well, keeping us safe at all times.
We then hopped in the car, were treated to delicious homemade coconut muffins, and made our way to Makawao. We were offered the opportunity to spend a bit of time in town but the rain was coming down hard and we wanted to keep riding. Matt agreed to continue as long as the roads remained safe.
Again, we set out riding the shoulder / inside lane for a mile or so, after which we moved to center with Eric blocking from behind. If you’ve never bombed Maui in a hard rain, you don’t know what you’re missing! We finished this longest segment in Paia, cruising through more downhill switchbacks and ending completely drenched with huge smiles on our faces!
The ride back to town wouldn’t have been complete without more amazing homemade treats, this time Passionfruit Bars!
My wife and I will definitely ride with Matt again next time we’re in Maui! Maybe the sun will even come out and we’ll actually be able to see the far off landmarks Matt pointed out along the ride!

Mountain Biking in Maui
I totally enjoyed my experience mountain biking in Maui! Super fun time, Rob was an excellent tour guide and set me up with a great bike. The other family on tour with us were great and Rob was good at checking in and making it fun and interesting for all levels. Amazing beautiful area as well with cool trees, birds and microclimates. Would go again!

The Volcano was so...
The Volcano was so beautiful and the guide did a great job of checking experience levels to make sure everyone had a fun and safe trip. We went up the volcano twice, stopped at a cute town for lunch/brunch the biked an easier road afterwards. This experience was completely unforgettable!
