This was an amazing tour. We were able to snorkel the entire Molakini crater-front and back. Then went off to swim with the turtles. The total count was 79 turtles!! They swam with us, beside us and we watched their beauty from afar. Our Captains Cary and Allison were amazing. Keep us safe, informed and fed! I would hands down recommend this trip with Maui Snorkel.

Best snorkel trip on Maui. 5 locations!! Inside and outside Molokini. Saw at least 10 Turtles at the TurtleTown stop! Crew was great. Friendly and informative. We spotted a pod of Dolphins on the way back in and the captain zipped over to give a great look! What a great treat and trip. Highly recommend this tour!! We are scuba divers, so we know a good trip!

This is the best snorkeling experience we have ever had! We have been on several trips in the Caribbean and they do not hold a candle to this trip. The captain and crew were outstanding. Friendly and energetic! We went to 5 different stops on the excursion. The first was in Molokini crater and then on the backside of the crater in 300 feet of water. We got to see tons of reef fish. We then went to 3 spots to see sea turtles. I have never been so close to green sea turtles. We then saw a rare monk seal sunning itself on the South side of Maui. The captain and crew were great at instructing us on how to properly use the equipment and made the experience go smoothly. Plenty of coffee, water, banana bread & snacks!

Had a wonderful time with this crew. It’s an early start to the day, but the best way to make the most of your snorkeling experience. We were out before majority of charters and had molokini to ourselves. We saw everything as promised and then some (Dolphins!) The crew had plenty of coffee, snacks, water and delicious banana bread from the start and offered plenty on the ride itself. We had plenty of photos taken. Everyone on the crew was authentically themselves and made for a great time with great vibes. Can’t recommend this trip enough. Will certainly come back to this charter when we return!

This is THE tour for you. Trust me. We had an Absolutely amazing experience. I researched a ton of snorkel places for Molokini and decided on this one based on the amazing reviews. I am so thankful I did. Captain Jen and Captain Doug were incredible. They embody the Aloha spirit through and through. Fun, kind, knowledgeable, welcoming…literally the best tour guides you could ever ask for. They gave us homemade banana bread and coffee to start the day and then usher us on to the boat. They treated us like Ohana and went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. It was the best snorkeling we have ever done. The coral, the fish, the turtles, it was everything we hoped it would be and more. Trust me, you have to go with this tour. 10/10 recommend.

Great small group snorkel excursion with a crew that put in tons of effort to make it memorable. We were the first boat to arrive at the crater, so we were able to get right in the water and explore without 50 other people getting in the way. The crew provided great snacks and drinks and wetsuit tops if needed. And they were needed since there was a good breeze blowing. Don’t get on the big boats if you are near Kihei, just take this tour right from town.

Captains Jen & Allison were awesome! They made sure everyone on the boat had all they needed fore a great day. We were at the crater ahead of the masses. The water was clear and teeming with beautiful reef fish. The back side of the crater was too rough so we went to another spot on the inside. We then went to two other spots where we snorkeled among so many sea turtles it was difficult to stay clear of them. The bonus for the trip was dolphins. We were surrounded by them at one point. Spinner dolphins were riding our bow, jumping and spinning in the air. It was amazing. I am a marine biologist and have snorkeled and dived many places and this Molokini Crater tour is at the top of the list!

Went for the 4.5 hr Molokini snorkel with Captain Jen and crew Alex. We’re staying in Kanapaali but it was absolutely worth the 50 minute drive to Kihei to go out with Maui Snorkel Charters. You have to be comfortable in a smaller boat, and there’s no head, but if you are looking for access to great snorkeling and Molokini (and not a crowd of people on your boat and in the water with you) this is it.
1- free parking and easy to find them in the boat launch lot. Alex had coffee and banana bread for us as we waited (briefly) for the whole group to show.
2- we got out on the water FAST. I’m impatient and hate having to wait for people, so really appreciated how quickly (but safely) Captain Jen got us out of the harbor.
3- we reached Molokini early - only the second boat there! We had the inside crater nearly to ourselves (our boat was 13 total) for the first hour. I really appreciated this when we left Molokini as other boats were arriving with large crowds - we got to enjoy it almost privately with our small group and were leaving before they even got in the water
4- because of the smaller size of the craft, Captain Jen was able to get us to the crater quickly (again before the big tourist catamarans with 30-50 people on board) AND take us to the outer rim - super deep and where the pelagics hang. We didn’t see them this am, but still a great snorkel to swim in that deep blue, clear water
5- the crew hit pay dirt when they took us to a turtle cleaning station. We’ve been coming to the Hawaiian islands for decades (working part time on the Big Island) and never seen so many turtles just chillin’ for a cleaning.

We’ve been to Maui 3 times but haven’t done anything like this. To get to go to numerous places to snorkel was amazing. We saw eel, turtles, fish galore and even a baby shark! Jen and Alex were awesome hosts and the whole process was fabulous. Highly recommend!

The only yellow boat and excellent captain/guides. The captain knew to avoid the spots where other boats will go and we were snorkelling near the sunnyside of the crater. 3 good stops teeming with fish with clear visibility.The highlight for me was seeing the pod of humpback whales which was a bonus from the Captain. Plus snorkelling up close but far enough in clear water with the turtles .Love from New Zealand to all in Maui

Incredible snorkeling trip! Alex and Allison were great! We have been to the Galapagos, Maldives and Great Barrier Reef and this excursion rivaled all of them. We saw a family of four humpback whales, a tiger shark, multiple Sea Turtles, multiple Moray eels, two octopi and a pod of spinner dolphins all in one trip!

Overall experience was fantastic, our favorite experience on our vacation. We had a nervous kid with us and Alison was so patience that by the end of the tour she got in the water by herself. Would definitely recommend this tour, smaller group and great crew

Such an amazing experience. The team was very kind, knowledgeable and fun. They took my Fiancé and I to multiple amazing spots and informed us of the historical importance of each location as well as promoting a respect for the ocean habitat. This is a must do if you come to Maui!!

The BEST experience. My one goal this trip was to find an octopus! Alex and Bella were superstars on the water and made you have the best time and feel safe! The water was gorgeous so we got to see all the animals and get to snorkel all the best locations. Highly recommend!

This was such a fun and memorable experience with my partner! The crew members Bella and Alex were super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. You can tell they really care about giving you the best experience possible--and about keeping you safe. We saw tons of beautiful coral and tropical fish and also a few dolphins from the boat. Honestly, the best snorkel tour you can book in Maui!! Alex and Bella were so extremely friendly, fun and best of all took us to the most amazing snorkel places. We had two families that booked together (kids ranging from 8-15). Even the adults thinking they didn’t want to snorkel did it and loved it. The boat is so roomy and their website description of their boat, it’s roominess, etc is all accurate. We will definitely book with them again next time!! Thanks Maui Snorkel Charters!!

My son and I truly had the best day ever on Maui Snorkel Charters. The crew were knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. We really appreciated the small size of the group and the number of locations we were able to snorkel. I have tried other larger boats to Molokini in the past and they do not compare to this experience. We even had the opportunity to see a whale on our trip back to the dock. I would highly recommend this snorkel tour to others and will definitely take this trip again in the future.
