Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to tour time and map location & travel time before leaving accommodations. Enter the Garden of Eden Arboretum and identify yourself as a Rappel Maui guest. Proceed 100 yards to the Rappel Maui assigned parking area. Your guides will meet you at your tour time.

Rappel, cliff jump, hike, and swim on this small-group adventure exploring Maui’s waterfalls and rainforest.
Your tour starts by meeting your guide at the easy-to-locate departure point. This is a small, intimate group, so you’ll still receive plenty of guidance from your guide and support team.
This tour takes you off the beaten path and into the wild rainforest. You’ll start rappelling smaller cliffs and waterfalls, and then you’ll progress to higher ones of up to 30 feet (8 meters).
Note that it rains part of every day in this part of Maui, and your tour will still run when it’s raining. But your guide will make sure you’re safe, choosing the best cliffs and waterfalls to rappel based on weather conditions.

- Not wheelchair accessible
- All participants must weigh between 70 lbs and 250 lbs; waists must measure between 22 and 48 inches. We weigh all participants at check in. There is no refund for guests who don't make the weight restriction at the check in point.
- Participants must understand spoken English well and speak it fluently.
- All minors must be accompanied by an adult; a legal parent or guardian must sign the child's permission form before tour begins.
- Operates in all weather conditions with alternate rappels when the waterfalls are flooding, please dress appropriately.

- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level

This was awesome!! Me and my wife had the best time!! We was the only ones who booked at the time we went, so we got like a private tour to ourselves. The scenery was out of this world!! Great place and our guides was the best!! If anyone was think of doing this they will not regret it!!

If you’re looking for a real adventure, this is it! This is not a casual sightseeing excursion—it’s a legitimate rappelling experience. You complete three rappels total, including two down waterfalls. I do wish they had done a better job preparing us at the beginning for what to expect. At the end of both waterfall rappels, you actually let go of the rope and drop into the water below. I’m a pretty adventurous person, and even I was a little nervous!
One disappointment was that there wasn’t a photographer on our tour day. We were really looking forward to having professional photos of such a unique experience.
Also, be prepared for the hike back up after the rappels. It’s definitely a workout, and a few people in our group needed to stop and catch their breath several times.
Our guides were nice and kept everyone safe, but I think a more thorough orientation would have made the experience even better.
One important tip: download your entry pass before arriving at the botanical gardens. There is virtually no cell service or internet, and they almost charged us an additional $20 per person because we couldn’t pull up our reservation.
Overall, it was an adventure and something I’m glad I did. Just come prepared, know what you’re signing up for, and you’ll have an amazing experience!

And as for that "trust fall" into the pools at the end of the waterfalls—we like to think it's the most refreshing finish line in Maui!
And yes... the hike back out definitely earns you those post-adventure snacks! We like to joke that the climb is just nature's way of making you appreciate the waterfalls even more.
Thank you as well for mentioning the Garden of Eden entry pass. That's a fantastic tip for future guests, and we couldn't agree more—downloading it before arriving makes check-in much smoother since cell service is very limited along the Hana Highway. All of that info is in the e-mail we send out when your reservation is made.
While we don't have a photographer on staff at this time, we absolutely encourage guests to capture their own adventure! You're welcome to bring your phone (we provide a dry canteen and backpack to carry). We even have GoPro helmet mounts available for guests to borrow. It's a fun way to relive the experience and share your adventure!

Shauna and Alba were fabulous guides. Their calm and easy-going approach put everyone at ease. They were thoughtful about verifying all of the safety equipment while still empowering my kids to do everything on their own and quietly correcting them or making adjustments. My kids (17, 14, 11) all left feeling confident and exhilarated from their experience.

We are in our early 50’s and this was our first time repelling.. Staff was fantastic! We were in a group of seven. We had three repels. Instructors were very patient and we felt safe the entire time. So happy we booked this activity!

Shauna and Elena were exceptional guides and our family of three had a wonderful time. You have to date part of the Road to Hana to get here, but it is worth it for the ability to enter the rainforest and be a part of this phenomenal environment. You can’t rappel waterfalls just anywhere, so this was a delight. This was three total rappels, with two in waterfalls, so factor that in on what you are willing to spend for the activity. For us, it was worth it to get off the beaten path and do something we can’t do in many places.

Very unique experience. We did 3 repels. Guides were fantastic. Explained everything fully and they made the entire trip fun and helped put you at ease. A little trail hiking, a little rock climbing and swimming under two waterfalls. No experience necessary. Felt safe with each repel. Definately worth it if you like a bit of a thrill.

Immerse yourself in nature, rappel down a cliff and two waterfalls. Totally awesome!
Our experience only lasted an hour and a half and not 3 hours like advertised, so make sure you take your time to enjoy swimming in the pools and under the waterfalls. Don't rush each rappel, enjoy the view while going down.
Shauna is totally hilarious and makes it very fun. Deacon is super chill and provides confidence. Very knowledgeable about the plants.

Exhilarating experience in absolutely beautiful, lush setting at the Arboretum. Shauna and Alba were fantastic guides- calm, informative, funny, and knowledgeable. This was definitely out of my comfort zone and my 13 year old son and I loved every minute of it. Do it!!

Wow, where do I even begin? Our waterfall rappelling tour with these three amazing ladies was, without a doubt, the highlight of our entire trip to Maui! From start to finish, they made the entire experience so much fun, while making sure we felt safe and prepared every step of the way.
They kicked things off with a thorough but fun safety briefing—not a boring, long-winded seminar at all! They kept things lighthearted and engaging, making sure we understood how to use all the equipment without ever feeling overwhelmed. You could tell right away that they were experts, but they were so approachable and down-to-earth. It felt more like hanging out with friends who just happened to know how to rappel down a waterfall!
When it came time to actually rappel, they worked their butts off to ensure we were all having an amazing time. They were supportive, encouraging, and kept the energy high the entire time, all while making sure we were safe. Their passion for what they do really shone through, and it made the whole experience that much more memorable. You could tell they genuinely wanted us to have the best time possible—and we absolutely did!
This tour wasn’t just another item on the itinerary, it was the highlight of our time in Maui. If you’re looking for a thrilling, yet safe, adventure with some of the best guides around, look no further. These ladies rock, and I would do this tour again in a heartbeat!
