Overview
Paddle over Maui’s pristine reefs in a clear-bottom kayak on this small-group guided tour. Start at Turtle Town and explore shallow reefs while snorkeling with turtles, manta rays, and tropical fish. During winter, you may be able to spot humpback whales in their sanctuary. Take in stunning views of Haleakala, Molokini, and the west Maui mountains, and opt to go snorkeling (included) for a closer look at the marine life.

Meet up is at Makena Landing Park. We will text your cell phone with a pinned google map location the day before the tour. Our company truck is a navy blue ford with clear kayak stickers on both sides. If you need to catch an Uber then book the day before (not the morning of).

- Confirmation will be received at time of booking, unless booked within 1 day of travel. In this case confirmation will be received as soon as possible, subject to availability
- Not wheelchair accessible
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Most travelers can participate
- Individual weight limit is strictly 220 lbs due to the nature of our clear kayaks. If someone in your group weighs over 220 lbs then please contact us and we can reserve a single regular kayak with a weight limit of 290 lbs for them. We have two of these available. The weight limit is for your own safety. It is company policy for our tour guides to weigh each individual using scales at the meeting location on the day of the tour. If you report your weight incorrectly and then weigh over the limit on the day then we will not be able to accommodate you and you will receive no refund. Please contact us if you have questions about weight distribution before booking.
- Weight limit for tandem kayak is 420 lbs *Individual weight limit of 220 lbs still applies. You will automatically be assigned a tandem kayak for a booking of 2 adults. We are a small company and only have a limited number of clear kayaks for each tour.
- If you have ANY medical conditions we need to be made aware of for your safety (including if you are pregnant) or if you have dietary restrictions then please advise us of this via email.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers

Took my 82 year old mom on this for her birthday, she was very nervous about being on the water and getting in and out of the kayak but Chris was extremely kind and helpful and was an amazing guide. We saw at least a dozen turtles and countless other amazing reef critters. His pics and video were gorgeous - couldn't recommend this excursion more!!

Beautiful day with very helpful and knowledgeable guides. Being in a smaller group they were able to help everyone enjoy the entire tour. There were a few that were not as comfortable in the water and despite that they were able to see turtles. We even had an extra bonus of seeing a mother whale and baby!

We saw several sea turtles and a wide variety of colorful reef fish. Overall, a powerful experience made extraordinary hearing vocalizations of humpback whales!

Marc, our guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable about Maui marine life. He set up the clear kayaks in advance and gave us quick tips on how to safely paddle in Makena bay. Throughout our snorkeling trip, he made sure we saw as much under water, including turtles, sea urchins, and colorful fish. We had a great time and would highly recommended Ohana and Marc!

Glass bottom kayak to turtle town is a must do bucket list item! We did this mid November and still nice enough to enjoy. Curtis was our guide, he was so knowledgeable, funny and very safe. We had a memorable time snorkeling with the magnificent turtles. Don’t forget to bring a waterproof disposable camera, we missed bringing one.

This was absolutely amazing! Our tour guide Mark was awesome and very knowledgeable and showed us a variety of locations and we saw a lot of turtles and fishes. The weather was wonderful and we were very pleased with everything. I highly recommend them and we will do this again with our daughter. Having a clear bottom kayak was a plus too!

Kyle was an incredible guide. Knowledgeable and safety-focused, while still making sure everyone had a good time. We had a couple challenging group members, and Kyle handled them impeccably. He made sure their actions did not harm the wildlife, or ruin the other kayakers’ experience, without ever making them feel singled out. He also had tremendous recommendations for where to eat after, and it wasn’t until the end of the day that my wife and I realized that breakfast and dinner were both Kyle recommendations—thank you Kyle!!!

Anyone looking for a great kayak and snorkeling experience, go with this company/tour. Braddah Kyle was awesome and showed me and my wife so much ocean life, turtles, stingray etc. A very personal experience with the proper tour name Ohana! It was amazing! Kurt and Mark were the best tour guides, equipped with waters, snacks, and dad jokes : ) They kept checking in on everyone! Kayaking was an easy jaunt to Turtle Town with my 2 teens and snorkeling with the turtles! There must have been 20+! Would recommend!

Kyle gets a five star review. He was very patient with my mom helping her get back in the kayak. Tour was great. Kyle talked about the area and pointed out some different fish. We saw lots of turtles. Busy area with other tours but the turtles seemed to enjoy the spectacle of finned people. Kayaks get a two star rating. Wide and clunky, hard to paddle because the paddle hits the sides. It’s scratched so you can’t see much of the bottom anyway and even if you could, you might get seasick which brings me to remind you to take your Dramamine before you go! Wish we did! Also wish we went on the regular ocean kayak tour. So much easier to paddle, maneuver and get in and out of.

My husband and I had a great time. Kyle was very patient and made sure to check on everyone often. My husband and I almost sank the kayak when my husband tried to get back in after snorkeling but Kyle was very nice about it. He flipped it to get the water out and had us on our way in a few minutes. His patience and humor made it a very fun experience. Not everyone went snorkeling but he made sure to pull the kayak to show us the turtles. It was a great experience and I plan to do it again when I come back to Maui. Thanks again, Kyle!
