Got to spend over an hour at Wai’anapanapa park which was the best part! Great tour guide/driver Maka, very organized, funny and told us lots of Hawaiian history/facts. Best day in Maui!

Junior, a true local, was amazing. He gave us insight and a perspective about Maui that really made us feel like we understood it beyond what normal tourists are exposed to.

Writing this review following an exceptional experience with our tour guides. We were led by Emma, and another local guide who was being trained by her. Both guides were immensely knowledgeable, passionate about the land, and seemed to be wonderful people. The scenery was beautiful, the driving was skillful, and the stops were thoughtful. We absolutely loved our tour with them, and would give the highest recommendation for others to book with Hana and Beyond. I think this tour would not have been as meaningful had it been with another tour group with less deep ties to Maui and Hana. 5 stars without reservation.

The tour took us on a beautiful drive to Hana. We stopped at several scenic locations on route and enjoyed swimming on the black sand beach. The driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. The small van made the trip more personal as it gives you the opportunity to share experiences with fellow travellers. We would have liked a little more time to enjoy some of the stops, the tour finished quite early in the afternoon.

Very good tour! We had Lei as our guide! She was very informative, friendly, and a great driver. We have driven the Road to Hana ourselves previously 2 times. This trip we decided to do the tour so we could just sit and enjoy the ride. It was so nice just to sit back, relax and let someone else take the wheel. We got to see a lot of things that we missed by driving ourselves. It was well worth it!

If you are prone to motion sickness, you might want to take something before hand. Other then that, prepare to be amazed.

Great advice! Motion sickness can sneak up on you during the drive, so taking something beforehand is definitely a smart move. Other than that, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.

Calvin gave us lots of great information about the sites we were seeing and other things about the volcano and Rainbow falls. He offered to take photos for groups, answered questions, and was very thoughtful in assisting people as needed. Wished we had time to do his coffee tour, but when he heard that no one was able to do that gave us a shortened but very interesting info. We were hoping for lava flow but it had happened earlier and he shared some pictures of other flows. We really enjoyed our time with him. Carol and Gene

This Road to Hana tour was absolutely amazing! We had such a good time with Lei as our tour guide. She made the trip memorable and exciting providing us with historical information and fun facts. She stopped at various points interest along the way and we even went swimming in the waterfalls. Thanks again for everything Lei!

My daughter and I went on this tour and it did not disappoint. The scenery and experiences were outstanding. Beginning at the pick up to our drop off we were entertained with games, facts, scenery, and adventures. Our driver Lei was amazing and made the adventure fabulous!!

The Road to Hana is beautiful with stunning waterfalls, lush rainforests, and breathtaking coastal views. Be prepared for a long and winding journey and the weather. Our guide shared great info about areas we stopped at. If you're easily carsick I would not recommend. The roads are very curvy and can be tough at times (luckily our driver knew how to handle them). Our weather was beautiful until the way back when it poured. This is a worthwhile experience if you love nature and don't mind a day of driving. I would definitely recommend doing research beforehand to decide if it's the right fit for you.

Dave was a great guide. Knowledgeable and great fun. The trip is beautiful and had some lovely stops. Would have loved more time at waterfall and BBQ before lunch as an option.... looked and smelled wonderful. But a great day overall.

Lea (our tour guide) was an absolute ray of sunshine! She was knowledgable, made our tour super fun, always offered to take pictures (great for me as a solo traveler) and helped us really immerse in local Hawaiian culture. Beyond what was listed on the Viator tour, she added a few extra stops and she texted us local recommendations based on where we were staying.
If you have a chance to enjoy fresh coconut water from Morgan, do it! Below are all of the stops we went to. 10/10 recommend.

What a Wonderful Trip we had on the Road to Hana Tour. A real local company with the knowledge and experience to show us all the neat locations to view and enjoy. "Lei" was our guide for the day and she made it so much fun and enjoyable for everyone in the group.

Great experience! The most valuable part was the knowledge of our fabulous tour guide! It’s a tight fit in the van and they do pack each seat. The black sand beach was beautiful!

We truly had an incredible day with Damien, our driver and tour guide. He provided an upbeat and fun environment to where we all became very comfortable with the group. I would definitely recommend this tour and don’t even think about doing the drive yourself it has over 1200 sharp turns and we saw and accident on the way back. Definitely worth the investment so you get the most out of the road to Hana.
Our driver also stopped for some incredible picture moments. The lunch was great and filling, definitely bring water shoes for the black sand beach because the rocs are very sharp, also some dry and looser clothes to change into. I also would plan for a weekday as we went on Friday so it was a little busy.

We had a great trip! We booked this tour because we were afraid to drive the road to Hana by ourselves and it was the best decision ever! We had so much fun during the drive and our tour guide was the sweetest. She showed us around and gave us the best time ever. I would 1000% recommend this tour.

Shawn our driver was an excellent driver through all those curves on the road to Hana. He cared for those that may get car motion sickness. He had patches to give out for those that needed it. Very knowledgeable of the town of Hāna.

Despite drizzly rain, the trip to Hana was wonderful. The lush rainforest, many waterfalls and the black sand beach were highlights. Our driver Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and taught us a ton about Hawaiian and Polynesian culture.
