- All drivers MUST be at least 18 years of age to operate machines and MUST provide a valid Driver’s License.
- Child must be 7 or older to be a passenger. Please select the option for Driver + Child Passenger. Up to two children can ride with one driver.
- Each Adult driver and all passengers (Adults & Children) are required to have their own ticket.
- Covered closed toe footwear is REQUIRED for all tours.
- Guests may get dusty or muddy depending on weather conditions. We recommend guests wear dark clothing or clothing they don’t mind getting stained. Clothing (top and bottom) is required to participate in tour.
- Safety Helmets and Goggles are provided by Maui Off Road Adventures and are required for all guests to wear.
- No recent surgeries, neck/back/knee problems, pregnant women, or any serious health conditions allowed on tours.
- Drivers MUST be over 25 to drive minors under 18.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers

If you're looking for a fun, adventurous, and educational experience in Maui, look no further than Maui Off-Road Adventures! We had an absolute blast exploring the rugged terrain, getting dirty, and soaking in the breathtaking views. Our guides, Ken and Westin, were awesome—super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the ride exciting and safe from start to finish. We learned so much about the island’s history, culture, and landscape, and their passion really showed.
All of the staff were great—welcoming, professional, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. This was hands down one of the best parts of our trip to Maui. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to get off the beaten path and see a wilder side of the island!

You will get muddy, taking a face cover or purchasing one is ideal when doing this excursion. Guides are friendly and knowledgeable. You are taken down a pretty muddy and dusty dirt roads. Only thing I’d change is the helmets… they need to be disinfected better they smell moldy and leaving a bad odor on you once you remove them.

Driving ATVs in the mud and pools of water was a blast. We got so muddy and laughed the whole time. Crew was very helpful and prepared.

We secured this experience through Viator, which remains our go-to platform for booking activities while traveling. The interface is clean, booking is straightforward, and everything you need — tickets, directions, confirmation — lives in one place. Communication leading up to the activity was prompt and clear.
We were staying in the Kapalua Bay area, and the drive was roughly 14 minutes from our resort. The location is a bit tucked away, but the directions provided are accurate — I just didn't review them carefully enough beforehand. Entirely on me.
Upon arrival, the staff was welcoming and efficient. Check-in moved quickly, waivers were handled without any fuss, and we were walked through a safety briefing before heading out. They also offer an optional video package filmed with an Insta360 camera mounted to the UTV — worth considering if you want to capture the experience without worrying about your own gear.
The tour itself is two hours through lush jungle terrain, and if there's been recent rainfall, expect to get dirty. That's not a caveat — it's half the appeal. There are two planned stops along the route: one where you participate in a tree planting, and a second scenic overlook near the end where the guides share some history and context about the surrounding islands. It's a genuinely engaging touch that elevates this beyond a standard off-road excursion.
Our guides were knowledgeable, personable, and clearly enjoyed what they were doing — which makes a real difference. This is an excellent activity for couples and families with older kids. Well-run, well-paced, and memorable.

First of all
This is NOT a 2 hour ATV ride, maybe hour tops
The other hour was spent watching a guide plant a tree and another guide give us a history lecture about the islands
When I signed up for ATV ride expected to ride the entire time. Also would like to add that the average speed was 14 mph

On a positive note, the bumpy trails and terrain were cool, just wish we could of actually have fun with the ATV’s on them
I thought this was way overpriced
$430 for 2 people was a waste of money
Look for a private guide if you want to drive an ATV the way they were built for

This was an amazing experience. The staff there could not have been any friendlier welcoming and funny. We all had a blast together. The tour is amazing. We explored many amazing trails and had a blast with the ATVs. This was definitely one of the main highlights of our trip.

We went this past Monday. There were supposed to be two stops and there was only one. There was supposed to be a halfway notification so as to switch drivers. There was no communication. There was a slight issue with one of the ATVs which led to the whole group not completing the ride. There was no communication on this. They opened a gate to take us back to the barn and that was it. I went in May of 2025 and it was a five star. Great guides. Great communication. Etc… this time was disappointing.

Fantastic experience..all of the reviews are spot on! It was super muddy when we went so we were covered in mud! But a blast!! And it’s really great ATVing..it’s a challenging path but it’s so awesome and the guides are great!! Must do if you love ATV

10/10 experience. Started pouring rain during the adventure but that’s what made it even more fun! Always nice to give back to the island by planting the tree to help rebuild the rainforest. All the workers are experienced and super friendly and willing to help those who need help. Highly Recommend and would do it again.

My husband and I had an awesome time with Lahaina ATV adventures! We took turns driving so we both got a taste of the ATV. (And now I am obsessed :) ) Be prepared to get dirty and have fun!

So much fun! We chose this experience on a rainy day. We were given free rain ponchos that helped keep us dry. Make sure to wear clothes that you don’t care about ruining. The mud stains.

You will get dirty, so wear pants and a long sleeve shirt that you don't mind getting dirty. Your shoes will get dirty/muddy too, but there are shoes you can borrow from the shoe shelf. They gave us poncho's to since it was raining.
We'll be doing this again next time we're in Maui!
