Itinerary
Depending on the departure time selected at checkout, board an air-conditioned vehicle at your Lisbon hotel in the morning or afternoon. As you travel through Lisbon’s charming neighborhoods, receive an overview of the city from your personal guide.
Stop off at select belvederes to enjoy panoramic city views and scour districts such as Baixa-Chiado and Bairro Alto for important monuments. Then, hop off at the Igreja and Museu São Roque to explore its lavish confection of jewels, art, and gold at your own expense.
Following this, be charmed by the quaint streets of Chiado before heading to Belém, a scenic riverside district home to Belém Tower (Torre de Belém), the Monument to the Discoveries and the Monastery of St Jerome (Mosteiro dos Jeronimos).
Sample an exquisite pastel de Belém—a custard tart made according to a secret recipe—and spend a while beside the Belém Tower (Torre de Belém), enjoying views of the Tagus River.
Your tour concludes with drop-off at your Lisbon hotel.

Our guide was Diogo who was pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about Lisbon and its history. The tour is perfect in that you get to see the highlights of different areas which helped us choose where to return to. It was also intermittently raining so perfect to plan around the rain. We also had an infant and they were able to provide a car seat.

Outstanding 4-hour private tour with Daniel.
We rode in a comfortable private mini-van (a huge improvement over Tuk-Tuk bouncing), and Daniel proved to be a knowledgeable, engaging, and flexible guide. He answered all our questions and customized the itinerary to our interests — including taking us to a truly beautiful church.
We visited multiple neighborhoods and landmarks: Our Lady of the Hill in Graça, the National Pantheon, Alfama, Baixa, Chiado, and Belém. Daniel struck the right balance between walking stops and scenic drive-bys, with options to linger as long as we wanted.
The highlight was an unexpected behind-the-scenes visit inside the kitchen at Pastéis de Belém — watching how the pastries are made, seeing the team at work, and then skipping the line to enjoy our own fresh pastel de nata. That alone felt like insider-access magic.
Daniel shared wonderful historical and cultural insights along the way, giving us a much deeper appreciation of Lisbon and its centuries-layered story. The night-before instructions said the guide would meet us by reception, but Daniel messaged via WhatsApp that he would be outside the hotel — which made perfect sense logistically.

Our driver, Vasco, picked us up at the cruiseport and took excellent care of us for the four-hour tour. This was my husband's first visit to Lisbon and he has trouble walking; Vasco was enormously helpful. I have been to Lisbon several times, but the tour introduced me to parts of the city I had never visited. Vasco has friends at the bakery in Belem and he gave us a wonderful "backstage" tour. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing 4-hour solo city tour of Lisbon with guide Daniel! His passion and deep knowledge brought the city to life, from the historic Alfama district to Belém’s stunning landmarks like the Jerónimos Monastery. Daniel shared captivating stories and insider tips, making every stop engaging. He also took fantastic photos of me at scenic viewpoints, capturing Lisbon’s beauty with professional skill. Diogo gave a wonderful half day tour of Lisbon. It provided us an overview of the city on our first day there. The highlights included seeing parts of the old parts of the city and the pastries in Belem.

My dad and i were spending a few days in lisbon after almost 2 weeks in terceira and i found this private tour. I selected the 3pm time slot. My dad is older and i was looking for an experience that would let us see a lot but not be strenuous. Dad is in good shape, but no need to push ya know? (Tuk tuks would have been a disaster for his back) Vasco picked us up at our hotel. I selected the English tour but dad and I both speak Portuguese amd English (portuguese is dad's native language) and Vasco went between both easily as he was speaking with us. More portuguese when speaking with dad, more English with me which I greatly appreciated. He took us around to all the sights and his knowledge of history and the city was amazing! (I came home and ordered books on portugal and lisbon's history based on what he discussed) As he spoke with us and got to know us he pointed out things he thought we would find interesting and nothing felt rushed. After the tour my dad said that out of everything we did during our trip, our day with Vasco was his favorite. I don't think there can be higher praise than that!

Daniel provided us with a phenomenal 4 hour private tour of Lisbon yesterday in a comfortable air conditioned van. We went to many neighborhoods and highlighted sights all through the city. Daniel was enthusiastic and highly informative throughout the afternoon- his perspective and knowledge of history of Portugal made our introduction to Lisbon enriching. He was easy to talk to and pleasant to be with - he was a careful and capable driver as he took us to each neighborhood- navigating the tiny steep and turns roads with ease. He shared helpful recommendations for the rest of our time in Lisbon. I highly recommend Daniel and this tour!
