The tour guide was incredibly nice and personable. She even spent more hours than we were booked for to get us to some cool spots around Lisbon near our hotel. Lovely day. Sintra castle and Pena castle were closed due to fire threats in the area. Would recommend checking Instagram for the latest updates. The "official" website said it was open but the Instagram for Sintra castle told the most accurate up to date info. Also another tour guide confirmed that Insta had the better info. Check before you go to not be disappointed. We had fun anyway touring around the city and she took us to some hidden outlooks because she was a local and knew the area very well. Also the surprise of Cabo do Roca was also one of the highlights of our trip. Lovely day.

Ruben was a wonderful tour guide

Four of us had a private tour around Lisbon and Sintra with Manuel. He was a terrific tour guide. He was very professional, did a lot of previous research and shared a wealth of knowledge with us all while navigating the congested traffic and narrow streets. Manuel was extremely accommodating and did his utmost to ensure we all had a wonderful day, which it was. He reached out numerous times before our tour date, asking if we had any specific requests. You would be lucky to have Manuel as your tour guide.

Ruben was a great guide. Advise people to dress warmly for Sintra as it is quite cool and breezy there. If I were to do again I would do Sintra one day and Lisbon a separate day. Such wonderful things to see and the tour went smoothly. Also for Sintea should be able to walk up hills and stairs.

The whole tour was incredible and it was thanks to Pedro. If I had to describe him it would be "one of a kind". We went to Lisbon with my 3 kids and he was so patient, he took his time explaining everything. I would highly reccomend him and the tour.

This was one of the best private trips we took. We were a family of 7 coming off a cruise ship. Pedro picked us up with all our luggage. He took us to our hotel to drop it off and then off we went on our journey to explore Lisbon and Sintra. He was very informative and friendly. We had the best time. Thank you Pedro.

Eduardo was an amazing and knowledgeable tour guide. He tailored the tour to our interests and made sure we hit all the highlights. He provided so much history behind everything we saw and we learned so much. He made sure we tried the most amazing foods and got the best photos ops. This was an amazing way to hit the highlights if you have limited time in the area.

Tour operator had an off day and only part of the tour completed. To their credit, the operator promptly addressed the situation and made things right, although our time was done and we could not see things that were omitted. Tours always somewhat dependent on the individual tour guide and, in this case, not the optimal person. Scenery and history was interesting.

Hi George.
After more than 20 years working in Tourism with the best possible commitment and always giving everything for customers, I always heard comments from other colleagues and operators that some customers took advantage of tourist operators threatening them with bad comments in exchange for not doing bad things comments.
Today I found out that these people actually exist, there are people who place themselves as very important as directors, Professor and Vice Chair, showing themselves to be important people, when for us it doesn't matter, because all customers are equal and have the same rights.
After the tour, which we admit the guide may not have had a good day with, we received a request for a partial refund under the heading of Booked wrong tour/date, when in reality the same happened on the date you chose.
At the same time, he informed us of the refund request with the designation:
"Will withhold review until refund is resolved. "
In fact, we were blackmailed into giving him a 50% refund, otherwise he would have a negative review.
After speaking with the guide, who informed us that the day had gone as expected and with the expected duration, and as we had never had a similar situation before, we decided to give him a refund, as nobody likes negative comments and the customer "should" always be right.
What happens is that even so, he unfairly made a negative comment.
It is clear that he used us to benefit from his tour and that is certainly something he will do repeatedly in order to take advantage of operators with false blackmail.
Unfortunately it is sad, but these situations happen, with us it was the first and certainly the last, as we will not fall into another one again.

the guide was very knowledgeable and professional. the car was comfortable and he gave me lots of opportunities to take pictures. The main reason i booked the tour was to go to the castle in Sintra but no one told us we needed tickets in advance. i could have done the same tour for less on the ship.

Hi Mr. Carl.
We are sad that you have not managed to visit the Castle, or the palace, once Sintra has more than 6 different palaces.
We send all customers messages a few days before to ask which palace they are interested visit in, so that they can reserve the tickets well in advance, for some of these palaces with the entrance slot.
I reminded me that in this particular case, only a few days before you sent us information that you are arriving in a ship as well as the name of it, the arrival port and at the time the ship arrived.
Passengers who arrive on ships have more difficulties in reserving tickets because of the difficulty of accessing the internet, never be certain when the ship docks at all, but it does not seem to me that the fault should be attributed to us.
This tour, Lisbon and Sintra tour is perfect to visit a little of both cities ( Lisbon and Sintra ) I don't understand if your interest was in fact Sintra, you should have booked the Sintra Cascais and Estoril tour, once you have this tour we are sure what the client is looking for.
We will be happy to accompany you on a visit to the interior of the palace at a next opportunity.

We chose this tour because we only had one day and we wanted to see as much as possible in both Lisbon and Sintra. Our tour guide, Manuel, certainly delivered. He was a walking and driving encyclopedia. We chatted the day before re: what our priorities were, and he customized the tour to those. He knew what was possible (and what was not) in the time allotted, and was very helpful in determining alternatives when necessary.

Elvira gave us a wonderful tour of the highlights of Lisbon. Her knowledge of the different styles of architecture and history of Portugal was enlightening. The highlight was the pomp and circumstances of the President welcoming the envoy from Nigeria in Belem. Sinatra was charming but very crowded due to cruise ship visitors. Timing is everything!

the driver, Pedro, was the best part of the trip, engaging and informative but he also know when to back off and provide quiet time. I had altitude sickness from the trip to the castle and he was very solicitous of my health and then provided quiet time in the car afterward. He also went above and beyond the duty of a tour guide by providing a remedy for my wife's stomach ailment(he stopped at his home and picked up boldo leaves for her to make tea).

We had a wonderful time with Carlos. From our tour of the Pena Palace to lunch in Sintra and driving all over Lisbon to see the different neighborhoods and attractions. We learned a lot about the history of Lisbon and Portugal. It was a perfect introduction to the city.
