Our tour guide Jose gave great historical narratives and was very informative of the areas visited. His drive was challenging through heavy rains and detours but the drive was very smooth. He did a great job in adjusting to weather related closures, rain, and fog. He suggested a wonderful restaurant in Nazare that we loved. His insight as a tour guide and great narratives made the tour interesting despite not being able to see the sights as we would have in nicer weather.

Fabulous Day..even with Rain!!

There were 4 of us and knowing the weather was going to be poor… we still had an amazing time. Our guide Maria knew the areas so well and she was extremely engaging and fun. We loved each of the areas. We really wanted to see Nazare for the surfing and we could not see anything due to fog. Óbidos was a huge surprise and so interesting!! Highly recommend this trip and hope you receive Maria as your guide.

Four Incredible Sites in One Day

This was a very interesting and comprehensive tour of four separate places outside Lisbon. However, the tour guide gave limited information on the bus and no information off the bus, so we had to find things on our own. Fortunately, my husband had done his research before leaving home, so we knew what to look for and what to ask local people about.

Nazaré hosts surfing competitions at various points throughout the winter, and the town fills with spectators.
There are plenty of places to stay in town, but make sure to book in advance during peak season.
Nazaré’s beach is fully accessible, however the cobblestones on the main streets can be difficult to navigate for people in wheelchairs.
