This was a first pastry cooking class for us! First time visiting Lisbon, first time making Pastel de Nada. Beatrice was an amazing teacher and helped us perfect our pastry puffs and custard. Our deserts turned out perfect and tasted SO good!! She also gave us a in depth historic background of the beginnings of this wonderful tasting Portuguese treat. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to take a pastry class. Thank you Beatrice!

A true highlight of our trip to Portugal! The Pastel de Nata class was a fun, authentic, and memorable experience. Our instructor was welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable, making everything easy to follow even for beginners.
We loved that it was hands-on—we got to make Portugal’s famous Pastéis de Nata ourselves and enjoy them fresh out of the oven. They were warm, crispy, creamy, and absolutely delicious.
The class was a perfect mix of culture, history, and food, and gave us both a great memory and a new skill to take home. If you’re in Lisbon and want something beyond typical sightseeing, BOOK THIS CLASS! Perfect for couples, friends, families, or solo travelers. 🇵🇹❤️

Excellent hosts, guide you through the process. You get to eat what you make.
A great way to meet other people.

Come in a group and make your own fun. Our chef instructor made this feel extremely rushed and impersonal. He almost seemed aggravated with being there. At the end, we had to ask for the port and got a small shot glass half full. Not what was expected or represented at all.
Again, bring your own party.

A fantastic experience from start to finish.
The class was fun, informative, and very hands-on.
Everything was explained clearly and shared some history while guiding us through the baking process.
The small group atmosphere made it easy to ask questions and get involved.
I would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Lisbon. A great way to spend a few hours and leave with new baking skills.

Do not book this. I scheduled a booking a week prior I received a notification that it was canceled. I tried to rebook and it said they were full so I booked a different class with another company then the day prior I was charged. I have tried reaching out to let them know they cancelled my booking and I therefore booked with someone else and to not charge me. They charged me $198 and will not respond to any of my messages

This was such a fun class! I learned some fun tips about baking in general, which is exciting, and my mom and I made some delicious pastels de nata! We had a wonderful time and I can’t wait to show friends when I get home!

Take this, be patient with yourself and have fun! Our pastries were quite good! I would recommend that you wait a few minutes before you eat your very yummy freshly cooked treats! Let them cool down a bit

This is a must!!! Francisco was amazing! He guided us along as we made our very own pasteis de nata! This a fun something to do when in Lisbon that you can then try to duplicate at home. 5 Stars!!!

Great cooking class! Marta was amazing! Explained everything! Pastel da Nata were delicious! Highly recommend!
Jennifer_H, Mar 2026
The class was good and pastries delicious. The room is loud and sound reverberates all around. There was another class going on consecutively with ours. I could not hear 50% of what our instructor was saying. It was nerve wracking and detracted greatly from what, otherwise, would have been wonderful. If you have any hearing impairments or cannot handle lots of auditory stimulation, maybe find a different class. If they would put up a wall with some fabric to absorb sound between the groups, I bet it would help greatly.

This is a great way to learn hands on how the best Portuguese pastry is made. Highly recommend for solo or groups. The instructor was very helpful and easy to follow. I was surprised how easy it was to make.

Miguel was an excellent teacher! My friend and I both had prior baking skills, yet he gave us some helpful tips that we will definitely be using in the future. The pastel de natas were delicious and i love that I will be able to make them for my friends and family back home.

Everyone should learn how to make this delicious pastry! Rita was a wonderful instructor who explained the process thoroughly. I met 2 lovely ladies in the class with whom I spent the rest of day. It was a fun and yummy way to spend 2 hours in Lisbon!

Great, easy experience. Fun class. Beatriz was a good teacher... patient and fun. Delicious treats at the end with the pride that we did that!
Suraj_R, Jan 2026
Fun class to do in pairs. Great way to meet other travelers and learn how to make something you'll be eating several times anyways while in Lisbon. The preparation itself only takes about an hour; the rest of the time is spent mingling. Friendly instructors (I believe we had Ito?) Would recommend!
