We absolutely loved the Pastel de Nata masterclass at Nat’elier, it was one of the highlights of our Lisbon trip.
The class was so much fun, really engaging and very informative without ever feeling too formal. Everything was explained clearly, from the history of the pastel de nata to the techniques behind making them properly, and we got hands‑on throughout, which made it even better.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the hosts were fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. And the best part? The pastéis de nata we made were absolutely incredible, genuinely some of the best we tasted in Lisbon!
A brilliant experience whether you love baking or just want to do something fun and unique while visiting the city. We’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a memorable, tasty activity.

Absolutely wonderful hands-on class. Cute bakery in city center. Perfect number of participants, small area perfect to see/hear chef without issue. Chef was clear, concise, personable, and funny. Explanations were fantastic and the pastels came out DELICIOUS! Includes a beverage, certificate, and and email with class picture and recipe. Would 1000% recommend. ❤️

Fun class with delicious results. The best tarts is Lisbon were made by….me! Okay, actually by the instructor. A pastry chef from Mexico with a great sense of humor (I did not catch his name, unfortunately).

This cooking class was exactly what we wanted! My partner and I love baking and getting to make our own pastel de nata’s in Lisbon was fab. The class was fun and informative. Luh was a great instructor and made the group feel comfortable and relaxed. The class was a great length and value for money. Would highly recommend!

Professional, fun, informative, clean and friendly. Luh was an exceptionally good teacher, her experience as a chef shone through and by the end of the class we had all made delicious and tasty Pastel de nata. I highly recommend this cooking experience. We were a class of ten. We worked in pairs and had great fun.
The workspace is air-conditioned and very comfortable.
By the end of the two hours we had not only baked exceptional pastel de nata, but also made some great friends.

We had a great time in the masterclass. We learned a lot (and even made the dough from scratch). The result, so our Pastels, tasted amazing. There is a slight hint of lemon in the custard. Love it!

This Pastel de Nata class was perfection from start to finish. The chef was super friendly and hospitable. High level of customer service from the moment I checked in. He kept everyone’s pastry separate which I appreciated. They were delicious and I would recommend this experience in a heartbeat. I’d even do it twice in the same trip. Magic! One of the highlights of my trip to Lisbon.

This was so much fun! We met people from
all over the world! Joao our instructor walked us through every step to make 3 Pastel de nadas. One to eat fresh out of the oven and 2 to take with us! Joao was patient and had a great sense of humor! Honestly this pastel de nata recipe is extremely delicious!! If you have the time, the class takes 2 hours, you will have the best experience! Also the class is in a real working bakery which makes it very authentic too!

Enjoyed the hands-on instruction and small group setting. The instructor was friendly and helpful in walking us through all the steps to make pastel de nata. From making the dough to the custard, then laminating, shaping and filling the shells, to baking, each step was explained and demystified. At the end, we enjoyed the final product with a beverage of choice. Excellent way to spend a few hours and come away with the skill to make these delicious pastries at home.
