After arriving in Lisbon a few hours earlier in the day, we thought the first tour we would do would be a tuk tuk ride. Thankfully, we ended up with Rodrigo (Rod). The 2 hour tour was nonstop laughs and stories, and Rod made sure we saw everything we could in the Old City and even a little beyond. We changed the route about two minutes in, much to Rod’s delight because it meant he could show us more. As a geologist and son of a botanist, we had a lot to listen to and learn about. Spoke near perfect English, gave great reccs for later in our trip, and tried to avoid the big potholes. My mom and I had a fantastic time!

Ghassan was wonderful and we really enjoyed our tour. We were able to squeeze in lots of stops in a short window and the spot we went to for the premier food experience was perfect!

This tour was a total scam. It started off fine but quickly went downhill.
While we visited the advertised viewpoints, we were repeatedly approached by aggressive street vendors who became physically pushy when we declined to buy their products. Instead of helping, our guide criticized us for being "rude" to the vendors, which was both uncomfortable, unprofessional, and not true!
The tour also failed to include the promised tasting. Instead, we were dropped at multiple stops and told to buy whatever we wanted on our own. At the end, the guide took us to one of his friend's shops for a ginjinha tasting that we also had to pay for, making it feel more like a sales stop than part of the tour.
The worst part was how the tour ended. After telling us we were in a neighborhood where people get robbed, the guide tried to charge us extra for either a Belém tour or a "transfer" back to the original meeting point. When we declined, he left us there to figure out our own way back.
Overall, the experience felt like a complete scam. We didn't receive what was advertised, were constantly encouraged to spend more money, and weren't even returned to the advertised end point. I would strongly recommend avoiding this tour if you don't want to feel scammed and stranded.

Vasco is one of our most experienced and highly rated guides, and we would never intentionally leave a guest feeling unsafe or unsupported. Alfama is a busy historic neighbourhood in central Lisbon, and Lisbon is generally considered a very safe city. Nevertheless, we understand that being left somewhere other than where you expected can be distressing, and the guide should have clearly explained the tour’s ending point and available transport options without making you feel pressured to pay for an additional service.
We would also like to clarify the issue regarding the tasting. You booked the tour before we changed the product from a historical tour without a tasting to “Old Town Tuk Tuk Tour with Local Food Tasting.” Although your original booking and price did not include a tasting, the updated product name later appeared on your reservation. We sincerely apologise for this confusing and misleading situation. We should have contacted you directly to explain the change, and we are now doing so for all affected bookings.
Regarding the street vendors and the guide’s response, we are sorry that you felt unsupported. Although street vendors are outside our control, our guides should always prioritise the comfort of their guests and handle such situations professionally. We will review everything you have described directly with the guide.
We apologise again for the confusion and for not meeting your expectations. Your feedback has highlighted important areas where we need to improve our communication.

I took a solo 2 hour tour which covered a lot of areas and viewpoints to get an idea of the city. Nathalia was an excellent guide, lots of knowledge about the city, history and current day, so helpful and happy to adapt the tour to my limited mobility on crutches. She went through the tour at a safe steady pace, so I was able to retain the info. Very convenient being picked up/dropped off from my central hostel, an overall enjoyable experience. Thank you!

Great way to see a lot of the city in a short amount of time. Your driver will customize your stops for you, and give you great insight along the way. We highly recommend asking for Ghassan, he was fantastic!

We took a two hour Tuk Tuk tour of old town on our arrival to Lisbon & Jama gave us a great history lesson! We stopped & took photos at some of the great viewpoints. We stopped for refreshments too! It was a great activity to orient us to Lisbon early in our trip.

The tuck tuck tour with our tour guide, Arthur, was a phenomenal experience with our teenage kids. You’re tired on the first day and we got to see a glimpse of Lisbon at large in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Arthur made the experience extra special, bringing fun, cool vibes for the teens & education to our first view of Lisbon. Our tuk tuk tour with Rodrigo was one of the highlights of our time in Lisbon. He was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s history, culture, and neighborhoods. If you’re visiting Lisbon, do yourself a favour and book a tuk tuk tour. Our driver Ania made the whole experience absolutely unforgettable — warm, knowledgeable, and full of historical facts and fascinating stories you’d never find in a guidebook.
Every viewpoint and cobbled alley came with local insight and personality. Ania adapted the tour to our interests, never rushed us, and made sure we got the perfect photo spots along the way. It felt less like a tourist tour and more like being shown around by a local friend.

Our driver Catarina was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic giving us a tour of Lisboa. She made the absolute most of our time with her customizing the tour to our questions and focusing on what we hadn’t already seen in the city. We booked a 1 hour tour which was about as much as my young nephew can handle! It was excellent. Bernardo, our driver and guide, tailored our trip to exactly what we liked. Our Tuk Tuk tour of Lisbon with Ania was fabulous. She is knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed the entire experience. She asked us what we wanted to see and do. We just told her to take us to the best places. It was Palm Sunday. We visited two churches during Mass. She dropped us at the square we asked her to take us to at the end of the tour. We highly recommend Colourtrip, their Tuk Tuk tour and especially Ania.
