Brittany did a fabulous job. She asked each party what they have already seen/done and what else we would like to do. She took that and the weather into consideration and then off we went. She took us to places where not many others were. She was very knowledgeable and informative as well as personable. She even back tracked so we could watch a momma moose and her twins.

What a blast! My 10-year-old daughter and I had the best day with Brittany. She’s warm, funny, and instantly feels like a friend. We got to explore all these off-the-beaten-path books and crannies (yep, actual crannies!) of Anchorage and beyond that we never would’ve stumbled on ourselves.
Her knowledge runs deep, but she shares it in such a fun, easygoing way that even my daughter stayed hooked the whole time. The absolute highlight? Stopping on a trail to pick wild blueberries right off the bush—so magical and so “only in Alaska.”
If you’re looking for a guide who makes the city come alive (and throws in a few surprise adventures along the way), Brittany is your person.

We loved Brittany. She was very informative about Anchorage and surrounding areas. It was a crummy, rainy, windy day but she was able to make it an enjoyable experience. She told wonderful stories. Even stopped for doughnuts and dropped us off at our hotel. High recommend her😊

Loved hanging with Brittany as we toured the city. She was great about checking to see where we had already been before deciding where to head for ours. Lots of Alaska knowledge and great connections for other tours within the state.

We loved our guide Brittany. Very nice friendly and very knowledgeable. The sides were amazing and we really enjoyed our tour. With that being said it was the last day of our vacation and we were really tired so we cut the tour a little short. Would I do it again absolutely, but I want to see a moose next time!

Brittney was absolutely fabulous!!! I was a solo traveler and ended up being the only one on the tour and instead of canceling it, she allowed me to keep my spot and took me to some amazing areas! All others ended up cancelling me since I was alone. I was so incredibly grateful to her for that! Highly recommend this tour.

We had an awesome time on our tour and our guide Brittany was AMAZING!!!
Brittany was so knowledgeable and shared so many interesting nuggets and her passion for Alaska really shows. She was so friendly, personable and compassionate that she made us feel like family. We had our 80 year old mom with us who was not feeling well and Brittany was so accommodating and flexible and put my mom at ease and went above and beyond by taking us to Walmart to pick up some meds for our mom and we are so grateful and appreciative. If you are looking for Gold in Anchorage you will hit the JACKPOT on this tour.

Enjoyed our time with Brittney visiting unique and special places around Anchorage. We wanted to spot a Moose and despite Brittney’s best efforts we’re unable to. However, we got to visit some beautiful places with amazing views.

Not a typical guided tour - Brittany does a great job establishing rapport with the group and fashioning sightseeing and storytelling to match the group’s interests. Glaciers, rivers, a tailrace, and an indigenous cemetery. Wrapped in great recollections and stories. Fabulous trip!!

My husband and I enjoyed this tour with Brittany. She asked what we had seen or what we wanted to see, we had no idea, so she took us on an adventure. The places that she picked were pretty and got us outside of Anchorage. It was a nice day that did not feel rushed. The highlight of the day was seeing our very first moose. Brittany gave us all kinds of info on Alaska and we really enjoyed our day with her. Thank you for sharing!

Touring with Brittany, our guide and the owner of Escaping Anchorage, was like visiting a new place with family. She was so open and kind and very knowledgeable about the Anchorage area. She took my husband and I and the other lovely lady on the tour to places we would not have expected and was full of interesting anecdotes about Anchorage and Alaska in general. My favorite was watching the surfers ride the bore tide all the way in at Turnagain Arm just south of Anchorage. Next was visiting Girdwood, the only ski resort in Alaska. I highly recommend the Mystery Tour to anyone wanting to see a different side of Anchorage.

Fantastic tour with Brittney and Escaping Anchorage. Highly recommended…she is very focused on delivering an exceptional experience. I was looking to spend a few hours seeing the outskirts of town, and Brittney suggested visiting a wildlife refuge/conservation preserve. Learned a bunch about elks, caribou, reindeer, black & brown bears, musk ox, porcupines, eagles, owls, lynx, etc. Safe driving, good conversation, and on schedule. Book now.

The tour was personalized to my interests and curiosities . The tour also ventures to distant attractions far beyond downtown Anchorage . The tour also provided tip and warnings of potential pitfalls for a first time visitor to southcentral Alaska . I would certainly recommend this tour .
