Our guide Donna did a great job of telling our group about the history of Anchorage and many interesting facts about Alaska. The tour was fun and a great deal!

Our Deluxe Trolley Tour was one of the absolute highlights of our visit to Anchorage. Our guide, Lilly, was outstanding—knowledgeable, engaging, incredibly funny, and clearly passionate about sharing the history, culture, and beauty of Anchorage. She brought every stop to life with fascinating stories, local insights, and a wonderful sense of humor that kept everyone entertained from beginning to end.
The tour itself was exceptional. We loved keeping an eye out for Alaskan moose, learning about the rich history of the Alaska Railroad, and hearing the story behind the Captain Cook Monument. The stops along the way were fantastic, especially Lake Hood Seaplane Base, where we were amazed by the world’s largest floatplane airport. Watching anglers at Ship Creek hoping to land a prized King Salmon was exciting, and Earthquake Park provided a powerful look at the impact of the devastating 1964 Good Friday earthquake. The breathtaking views from Point Woronzof, overlooking downtown Anchorage with the magnificent Chugach Mountains in the background, were simply unforgettable.
Lilly made every moment memorable with her warmth, wit, and expertise. If you’re visiting Anchorage, this tour is an absolute must-do, and if you’re lucky enough to have Lilly as your guide, you’re in for a truly exceptional experience. Five stars all the way!

Its a nice ride around the perimeter of anchorage. I thought we would see more of the inner city but the views were decent and we did see a moose.

Informative tour of Anchorage highlights: coal, fishing, earthquake, air travel and wildlife. I suggest adding a street art component in this mural rich downtown. Be ready to be patient, because the on and off for photos is slow!

We booked a Trolley Tour through Viator for six people. When we arrived at the site we received a call from the Trolley Tour manager stating that Viator had overbooked his tour and we would need to pay the staff on site for the next scheduled tour. We told him we were not willing to pay another $300 and have to worry about being reimbursed by a "third party booking site". We were told we could not go on the tour unless we were willing to pay again first. We don't know if Viator overbooked as stated by the tour operator or if the tour operator was the cause of the problem. Either way, we were not going to pay again up front and hope we get reimbursed. We submitted a "dispute" through our credit card company and about a week later were reimbursed by Viator

Our trolley driver, Ian, was hilarious!! Better than the stand up comedian on the cruise ship. He was very informative. I wish there had been a few more stops of interest—parks, memorials, something? Maybe there aren’t any in town? But Ian made it special.

What a great tour! Donna was our guide, and she was a fount of knowledge. As a retired English teacher, she was also a great storyteller. We learned so much about Anchorage and the surrounding areas that we never could have known had we explored on our own. We saw beluga whales! The weather was glorious, and we had a clear view of Denali. Spectacular!!
