Fun full-day tour! Cerisa (Captain C) was an amazing guide. She shared so much information and was passionate about sharing her knowledge. Highly recommend her and PicTours Alaska! I recommend doing the Portage Glacier add on. So beautiful!

Vinny was an excellent, knowledgeable local guide. We ran into some vicious Alaskan weather but the beauty of the wildlife and natural landscape was stunning.

Philip was knowledgeable and an excellent guide! The animals and glaciers were awesome! This tour we highly recommend.

This is a great option for solo travelers. Our guide, Philip, was fantastic. We got a lot of great pictures even on a cloudy, rainy day. Very informative and fun. Highly recommended.

Out tour guide was great, but it really is hit or miss on what we're able to see. If I were to do this again I'd just do the wildlife preserve and tack on the Anchorage zoo.

We thank you for sharing your thoughts about this excursion.
At times we have found visitors to be less than satisfied due to our far North West Pacific weather. Our area is surrounded by wilderness and possess an abundance of wildlife and geological wonders such as glaciers.
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee all sightings will be viewed since conditions varies by season, ocean tides, safety, third party groups and powerful Alaska weather conditions that can be mild-to-harsh year round.
Again, thank you for sharing your experience.

Hunter was a fantastic tour guide! Really enjoyed the coastal drive, and he pointed out six glaciers on the way. Enjoyed seeing the wildlife so well cared for. The highlight was walking upon the frozen lake with mountains all around. Sunny, breezy day made for a trip. I’ll never forget!
Jimmy_A, Apr 2026
Was nice to finally see glaciers and wild life reserve was fun. This s the only way to get 3 foot from Moose safely. Also; appreciate helping out the animals in need.

Wilderness, Wildlife, Glacier Experience from Anchorage. Unfortunately not great weather that day but Phil was an excellent photographer, super knowledgeable about the wildlife and guided with enthusiasm! Bring water and snacks if u don’t want subway or overpriced gas station food :)

Phillip and his wife were excellent guides. They were friendly and courteous. He was very knowledgeable and answered my questions. The weather was cold and sunny but the van was very warm. The conservation was nice and I enjoyed seeing the bears most.
Michael_W, Mar 2026
Great experience on unpleasant weather day. Pick up downtown and trip out to see nature preserve where we saw bears, moose, arctic fox and many other animals. Unfortunately we had snow and low cloud cover so visibility of mountains and glaciers was limited, but we had a fun time regardless.

Excellent, knowledge filled tour
Fantastic scenery along the fjord.
Got to walk on frozen Portege lake.
Saw eagles while driving the Old Seward highway
Loved the Alaskan Conservation area. Saw grizzle bears, moose, foxes , musk ox & wolves
Saw more glaciers than I could name
The tour guide did an outstanding job getting us to so many interesting places and she was well versed in Alaskan history, glacier names and wildlife facts

An excellent excursion. Patrick was the nicest tour guide; very informative and accommodating to our group & a wealth of information on the area & our sightseeing. He gave us photography tips on how to best capture the scenery & several dining options close to our hotel. He was simply the BEST & would highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Alaska.

A lot of beautiful photo stops on our way to the wildlife conservation center. Was super icy and cloudy on the morning but got much more sun in the afternoon and the view was even more amazing. Our guide Philip was a great driver!

An amazing time spent with family while in Anchorage. We loved our travel guide Patrick. While admiring nature and the animals around Anchorage we learned so much. Learning about the history was fascinating, as this was our first time in Alaska. We are cherishing this trip and the fantastic memories. Thank you Patrick for making it so memorable.

Cerisa was such a charming and wonderful guide! She was very knowledgeable, and I could truly feel her love and respect for Alaska. She was also kind and nice to me, even though my English is not very good.

Only if you love the zoo very much and are ready to go by minivan to see several animals (bison, bear, elk, caribou, wolf, and fox) for 2-hr back and forth. A tour guide was knowledgeable but answered questions and took pictures of the animals for himself mostly.

Our Wilderness and Glacier tour was absolutely unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible guide, Hunter. The tour itself was awesome — getting to see bears and moose up close in the sanctuary was such a special experience. The drive through the area was stunning, with vibrant fall colors and jaw-dropping scenery around every turn. The glaciers were absolutely breathtaking, and Hunter really brought the entire journey to life. He was incredibly knowledgeable and had a fantastic way of delivering fascinating scientific facts in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. His tone was perfect — informative, relaxed, and friendly — and you could tell he genuinely loves what he does. Just an all-around great person and an exceptional guide. Highly recommend!
