I booked an excursion to the AWCC to have an opportunity to see Alaska’s wildlife up close — all cared for with great respect and dedication.
2 hours are more than perfect!
Our guide was amazing: knowledgeable, passionate, and always happy to answer questions. Thanks to his enthusiasm and detailed explanations, the whole experience was even more engaging and memorable.
I highly recommend this excursion to anyone wanting to connect with nature and learn more about Alaska’s native animals.

We had a great tour with Eli. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. His enthusiasm was contagious. We saw many beluga whales at Beluga Point and one even showed his tail which Eli said he hadn’t seen in the four years he’d been doing the trip. We all felt very blessed to witness it.

Eli did a wonderful job providing information about Alaska and its wildlife. He stopped twice to allow and assist us in viewing beluga whales, and he pointed out eagles along the way. We saw numerous wildlife species at the center.

Our tour guide was amazing! Eli was very knowledgeable and super friendly. He made an effort to talk to everyone on the tour and made all feel welcome. He gave us all sorts of facts throughout the trip. We spotted dahl sheep on the mountain, looked for whales, walked the trails of the Alaska Widlife Conservation Center, identified salmon, and saw the Middle Glacier! Something for everyone!

Our guide, Elii was excellent. He was so knowledgeable and personable. He answered all our questions and narrarated all along our journey about the area, including about the wildlife. I loved the small tour size. It was so much more than a trip to the wildlife conservation center. We.made a few stops along the way as well. I highly recommend Planet Earth Adventures and Eli!

This was the cutest tour we’ve done throughout our vacation. Eli was our guide and he was very interactive, excited, and filled with knowledge on various animals, mountains, and lakes. On our way to the Animal Conservation Center we made a stop at a lake where we were able to see Dall sheep with the help of Elis binoculars. When we arrived to the Center, Eli allowed us to walk around on our own and explore for a little before we continued the adventure together. This adventure was so fun and relaxing especially because of Eli and if you’re going to book, make sure you book with him for a well rounded, wholesome experience.

Love the small group intimate style. Guide was very personable. Didn’t see any wildlife in their natural habitat though

Nice half day adventure. Learned a lot of the history of the area. Our guide Eli was great! Funny, knowledgeable and personable.
Deb_R, Jul 2025
Spectacular scenery! The conservation center was a lot larger than I expected. It was great to walk around and see the animals.
Christina was a knowledgeable and friendly fun tour guide!

We expected a good tour but got a great tour. Lots of fun facts, jokes and experiences. The outstanding part was that there was a regional earthquake (7.2), tsunami warnings, and Eli did a calm and rapid workup to determine threat to us. He couldn’t initially get projected warnings for our specific area, so drove to higher ground until the warning was clearer. We then returned to the tour. Good job!!!

Nice way to spend half a day on our last day in Anchorage. See all the wildlife you wish you had seen while traveling in Alaska.

Comfortable transportation, available restrooms and we had a very good tour guide. We saw one Dall sheep and liked the stop by the eagles nest. Ely, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.

an amazing deal for the value you get in this tour! Eli was the best guide and truly made the experience great for us. He pulled out all of the stops and was so informative and just fun to spend the day with! The wildlife center was so cool and all of the stops along the Turnagain arm were breathtaking! Eli really made sure we got to experience all of what Alaska and the area had to offer and we got exceptionally lucky for great weather. Even if it was rainy/cloudy we know Eli would have made the best of it! Thank you for such a great time!!!!
Todd_L, Jun 2025
Eli was awesome ! Loved the landscape and learning about the wildlife. Great tour!! Enjoyed the stops to take pics and look for beluga whales too.

I appreciated that the tour was not cancelled although it was only my husband and I that was in the tour. Our guide and driver Kristine was very knowledgable and shared pertinent and interesting facts. It is evident that she loves what she is doing- very much a nature and animal lover.
Michele_A, May 2025
We were the only two on the tour which surprised us but it also made the experience very special and enjoyable! The guide/ driver was very knowledgeable, easy to chat with and engaging and passionate about wildlife and Alaska. I really wish I could recall his name ( so sorry to him I can’t but we did the tour 28th May 2025 for reference so additional and appropriate recognition may be given) . It was great to see the native wildlife up close ( albeit behind safety fences, for obvious reasons ) and hear additional information from our guide. The weather was clear / perfect so plenty of good scenery and photo opportunities and on our return we also visited a lookout overlooking Anchorage and we could even see Denali, which was ‘icing on the cake’.I recommend you take bug spray as there were many mosquitoes at the rehabilitation centre! Thanks again!

"Meet" lots of animals; courteous, knowledgeable, and engaging staff who left us with a feeling of being with long-time friends instead of mere tour guides; Eli and Kristina were excellent
Joanna_C, May 2025
Eli was a great tour guide, full of knowledge. We were the only people in the group that day and he went out of his way to show us the animals in the nature.
Jeff_G, Sep 2024
