Supposed to start at 111am, for a 3 hour tour. Just arrived at the ship at 3:45pm, so almost 5 hours. If which 35 mins delay waiting for people at the pickup point, and your guide not being clear on the pick-up point at the wildlife centre. Some people heard 2:25pm, some heard 2:45pm. It wasn’t made clear so we missed the tunnel time. To add to that, a bag containing a laptop was knocked over within 60 seconds of giving it to the person loading onto the bus. It could have been so much better.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced on your transfer to Whittier. Our first pickup ran behind schedule, and because Whittier is such a remote cruise terminal, we do our best to wait so that no guest is left without transportation.
That same morning, the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel experienced significant backups. As the tunnel is shared by both trains and alternating two-way traffic, we are dependent on its openings. While we normally arrive on the 2:30 p.m. tunnel, this was unfortunately our first major delay of the entire season.
Regarding luggage, our team encourages small carry-ons to be brought onboard for safekeeping, though we honored your request to store your bag underneath. We regret that it shifted during loading and will continue reminding our team to handle all bags with the utmost care.
We sincerely apologize again for the inconvenience and thank you for sharing your feedback, which helps us continue to improve.

Very informative guide and an easy way to travel from Anchoridge to Whittier if boarding a cruise ship. We were dropped right at the terminal. Enjoyed the stop at the wildlife center, seeing many animals.

Bus was a little late arriving, but Nathan did a good job driving and sharing information. There were usb plugs at seats for charging which was nice. Nice coach bus in good condition. Stop at wildlife conservancy allows for a restroom break, a chance to grab a quick bite, and an opportunity to see a number of animals. It was extremely cold and windy when we visited but still enjoyed seeing the bears. Our trip took longer than the 3 hr time frame given, as your bus will need to time their entrance into the tunnel into Whittier port. All said, I would recommend.

Our guide (Joe) was friendly and informative. Smooth ride with beautiful views. The wildlife center was great and we arrived at our destination shortly after.

The tour picked us up on time and was very easy to find at the meeting point. Before the trip I had a question about the tour and the tour operator responded very promptly. Our bus driver/guide was very informative. We saw wildlife like mountain goats and eagles on our drive as well as gorgeous scenery. At the wildlife center many animals were up and about being active and the staff were feeding the porcupines. I liked that when we arrived to the port the bus pulled right up to the luggage drop off and unloaded luggage right to the porters. The price was very reasonable as it was only slightly more expensive than a transfer from the cruise line, which didn’t include a stop at the Wildlife Conservation Center.
The time at the Wildlife Conservation area was not quite enough, even walking quickly I wasn’t able to make it to every animal. Even 30 min more at the stop would have been appreciated, but I know there’s limitations due to the tunnel schedule. Our driver did make sure to drive by some animals on our way in and others on the way out in case we didn’t make it to everything, but I wished I had time to visit each on foot.

Not to put things on the rail. My friend dropped her phone in near the bear. Good thing you have a net to retrieve items dropped in.

Today the whittier tour operator sent a gal, Jane , very nice young lady, to pick us up at the westmark and go run down some Tamiflu at cvs, then meet up with the bus that had already picked up at Capt Cook hotel.
Wow. Cvs didn't open till 10...I was about to call a cab to run us back and forth without a guarantee of drug availability or returning to Capt Cook on time....meter running etc.
Soo, kudos to the tour operator.

The trip was amazing! From beginning to end, super fun, enlightening, and engaging. I can't remember the name of our tour guide, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. This tour was one of a lifetime, from the gorgeous views, to the animal refuge, and the 2 1/4 mile tunnel to Whittier, with 250 people population, 1 building housing, was amazing. Thank you too your employees and your company. I would recommend this tour.

Our motorcoach driver was very informative as well as very friendly. He made sure that he directed us to all the points of interest on our way to the cruise port in Whittier. Turnagain Arm was a spectacular part of the drive as well as Portage Valley. We also had an hour to spend at the Wildlife Conservation Center which was enjoyable. It was a scenic & comfortable trip to the port. I would recommend this tour.

The drive is beautiful! The driver, while a college student, was extremely friendly, and very proficient! Driving through the Wildlife Refuge allowed us to see all the animals, even though our stop time was only about an hour. Great experience!
