Due to no fault of my own the operator failed to book my tour because of lack of four people. When later after not hearing from them I made other plans. They refused to reimburse me for the tour. That is theft.

The tour did operate as scheduled, and the customer’s reservation was active. The customer chose not to attend the tour and was therefore recorded as a no-show.
Our no-show policy clearly states that reservations are non-refundable when a customer fails to appear for a scheduled tour. The tour operator fulfilled its obligation by operating the tour as scheduled and making the reserved service available to the customer.
The claim that the tour was cancelled or that the operator failed to provide the service is not accurate. The customer did not arrive for the scheduled tour, and no cancellation was made by the operator.
Because the tour operated as scheduled and the customer did not attend, the booking falls under our no-show policy and is not eligible for a refund.
Very good. The guide was entertaining and also knowledgeable. I noticed that all the tour guides take extra efforts to make it memorable. Also they enjoy what they are doing. They were not rushing
Lots of good local information and wonderful views of the area. Glad we did the conservation center to see the animals in case we don’t get another chance to see the wildlife. Thanks Brooks!
Gary was our guide and he really knows his stuff! The wildlife conservation center was interesting and I’m glad I got to see bears and moose.
Plus Gary gave us some restaurant recs and we went to one last night. It was very good. We had walked by it several times and wouldn’t have tried it if Gary hadn’t said it was good
The tour is full of scenic landscape, mountains, rivers and lakes. We made several stops, two of my favorites were the Wildlife Conservation center and Explorer Glacier and Lake. The animals at the conservation center were viewable in a natural habitat like setting.
It was great to have guaranteed animal sightings. And additionally a safe way for a whole family to view animals.
It was in March and part of my trip experience going to the Iditarod. The pluses were the tour guide gave us a few unscheduled stops (Wild Berry Farm 👍) and had time to drop us off at our hotel. That was very much appreciated. We saw a Dall sheep on the mountain and he stopped and turned around so we could get out of the van for photos. Loved that! You definitely need to be agile and a good walker to see the Wildlife Conservation area in freezing icy, snowy weather. Luckily at 76 years old I could do it. I think the best time to see all the animals (bears, etc which we didn’t) would be in warmer weather. We saw wolves, musk ox, reindeer and moose.
Terrible communication but the tour itself was fine.
There was no information provided by the tour company prior to the tour. I tried to contact them on viator and on the phone to understand the finishing time, but received no response at all. This was frustrating and I had to reach out to Viator to check if the tour provider was still active on the site.
The tour itself was great. Our guide, Melissa, was amazing and shared a wealth of information with us about the state, the way of life of the local people, about wildlife. The wildlife conservation centre was really cool, and the views to and from there were absolutely stunning.

We’re so sorry you had this problem and truly apologize for the frustration you experienced with communication prior to your tour.
We do provide all the necessary information in our tour description as well as in the confirmation sent after purchase. With the high volume of messages we receive each day (often over a hundred), messages sent through Viator can occasionally get lost or filtered into spam. While that’s never our intention, we completely understand how frustrating that must have been.
For the quickest response, it’s always best to contact us directly via our email or by calling us, as we monitor those channels closely throughout the day. You can also call Viator and have them contact us directly on your behalf, which is another very effective way to reach us quickly.
That said, we’re so happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour itself! Melissa will be thrilled to know her knowledge and passion made such a positive impact. We’re also glad you loved the wildlife conservation centre and the stunning views along the way.
Thank you for your honest feedback — it truly helps us improve.

This was an interesting tour with a variety of stops. Matthew was a nice guide who helped take group pictures at stops.
The experience was great, the places is amazing during the winter time. Matthew was great as a tour guide, could make a couple of more stops to find wildlife.
I would highly recommend taking this trip, especially if you only have a short time to spend in Anchorage. It packs a lot in to one day without feeling rushed. This lets you experience as much of the beautiful sights and experiences without the hassle of planning or stress. The tour guides are informative and fun!
It was a lovely trip and the guide was extraordinary. Extremely informed. Lots of stops. Beautiful countryside.
Matt was our guide and he is outstanding. His knowledge is vast and he knew just the right time to arrive at attractions to get the best interactions. Scenery is absolutely stunning and he makes it even better. Highly recommend this tour and this guide
This tour was absolutely amazing! The views were incredible and the wildlife conservation center was a highlight. We got to see moose, bear, lynx, wolves and other animals that had been rescued from various situations in the wild and now live there. Matt was our tour guide and was really wonderful. He was a wealth of information and gave us a ton of information about the area, the history, the wildlife, etc. in a way that was easy to understand, educational and entertaining. I would highly recommend this tour and Matt as your guide!
Matthew was such an awesome tour guide! Very informative while also adding humor into it so there was never a dull moment. The views were breathtakingly beautiful and we were even lucky enough to see the bears! 10/10 would do it again, and if I can I would request Matt again as well!
Everything about trip was smooth and fun. Easy to book and great communication about logistics from company. Carl, our tour guide, was the best! So sweet, informative, fun, safe. We saw super cool things. Great way to spend a few hours outside of Anchorage.
We had an amazing time with our guide. We didn’t initial realize that we’d make a lunch stop in Girdwood on the way out to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. The van was plenty warm. There was a text one day prior with helpful details including itinerary details, van photo to help with pickup, and more. The short walk at the end through the Alaskan rainforest overlooking the glacial lake was a highlight. Our guide was so passionate about explaining her upbringing in rural Alaska, sharing Native culture, and making sure we had a great time. We appreciated the whole tour and had a great experience!
Loved the incredible views and the knowledge and history received from the guide. We spotted a moose and he gave us extra time for photos and helped us out. Enjoyable tour!
