Definitely recommend if you love puppies and want to get just a tiny experience of what it’s like having a dog sled team. Highly recommend as it’s a lot of fun and who can say no to puppies kisses.

David was phenomenal! He shared so much behind the scenes information and knowledge with our family about the Iditarod races. The dogs sled ride was fantastic and it was a wonderful day! 5 out of 5 stars and very highly recommended!

Perfect for families and adults. Enjoyed!!

My daughter and I loved the experience. On the way to Willow for the ride, our guide David shared facts about the surrounding area. We made a stop at a cute small shop for a bathroom break and one large scoop of ice cream. We then headed to Willow and made a brief stop at the community center where the start of Iditarod takes place. Now it was on to the puppies and dog sled ride. We stopped at Matthew Failor's kennel. Matthew finished 11th in the 2025 Iditarod. One can tell he loves and takes care of his dogs. My group played with adorable puppies while the other group road the sled. I am not a pet lover but I couldn't help but love on those cute puppies. We also got to see puppies that were 2 days old. No holding these, understandable. After puppies it was time for our ride. Such fun. My 7 year old loved it. She picked out a favorite and says when the dog retires, she's coming back up to adopt it!! We were versed in the rules before we interacted with puppies. Afterwards we were offered a snack. There is a small museum type display of trophies and awards and also a bit of merchandise offered for sale. Of course, my daughter had to purchase a puppy. Great for families and adults alike. David is very personable and one can tell he likes his job and loves Alaska.

The guide and people at the kennel were super nice and spent a lot if time telling us about the life in Alaska, their dogs, and passion. The dog sled was, however, very short and, while understanding the price of the experience takes into account a lot more things, it is a bit too much for the time actually spent on the sled. I would recommend the tour, although with the above caveat in mind.
