What are people saying about San Francisco

Can't Beat This Small Group Tour!
Six friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our half-day with Brian. We all agreed that he is one of the best tour guides we have ever had -- so knowledgeable and personable. He limits capacity to 10 passengers although it is a high ceiling van that can accommodate 15. Our bus carried 9 passengers so it was almost like a private tour for my group. Although I had visited San Francisco in the past, I never experienced such a thorough understanding of its many neighborhoods, parks and geography. All passengers could hear him without a microphone and he could hear our questions without any problem. He gave us good recommendations (e.g., dining).

Great Sailing Boat Activity
This was the best sailing boat activity. We were so glad that we picked this company. The sailboat was clean, not too many people, and after getting launched we could sit up front. The ride was peaceful, beautiful, we sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge, the workers were kind and seemed to like their job. There wasn't too much noise which was refreshing - no loud music, etc. I would definitely recommend this activity.

Fantastic
Absolutely fantastic trip. It’s a long day but worth it. Derek was our driver and he was great. Definitely recommend this trip if you want to see Yosemite and the giant sequoias. The hike to and from the giant sequoias was a challenge for some members of our group, but we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hands down the coolest way to see San Francisco!
Cruising through San Francisco in a restored, colorful 1970s VW bus with The Painted Ladies Tour Company was an absolute blast and easily the best highlight of our trip! Our guide, Caio, was fantastic—super friendly, deeply knowledgeable, and full of great local stories that brought every stop to life. Because of the small bus size, we got an intimate, VIP experience and easily navigated spots where huge tour buses can't go. We covered an incredible amount of ground, from iconic landmarks like the actual Painted Ladies, Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park, Palace of Fine Arts, and the Presidio, to navigating the famous twists of Lombard Street. The pop culture stops like the Mrs. Doubtfire House and the Princess Diaries School were a nostalgic treat, and soaking in the distinct vibes of Haight-Ashbury (which felt so right in a retro VW!), Chinatown, North Beach, and the Marina made the day unforgettable. People smiled and waved at us everywhere we drove—if you want a tour with true local charm, personality, and unforgettable views, book this tour with Caio immediately!

Not seeing something you are looking for?

Of all the San Francisco bus tours, the “love” tours that zip around the city from the Painted Ladies Victorian homes to the Twin Peaks viewpoint in Volkswagen vans might be the most fun. If these offbeat treks are a bit granola for you, other bus tours are convenient for exploring the city and surrounding areas in comfort. Hop-on hop-off bus tours offer ultimate flexibility and freedom, while guided coach tours travel to Muir Woods and even as far as Yosemite National Park and the Monterey and Carmel area.
