Wonderful! Our tour guide was absolutely incredible, I mean truly impressive. He was humorous, knowledgeable, and it was clear that he knew everyone at the Vaticano. He was passionate about what he shared and so funny and enjoyable. Because of him, we were at the cry front of the "front of the line" ticket holders and he shared parts of the museum that seemed unique and not part of your average tour. Our tour of the Vatican with Liv Tours was great. Our guide Marzia was excellent! She was a local of the area who clearly knew and loved everything about what we saw that day. She told us so much information about the Pope and the history of the Vatican and kept it fun. The Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica were all incredible and we wouldn’t have been able to appreciate the history without Marzia’s knowledge. Incredible! Christina is such a fabulous guide! She looked out for all of us, keeping us in the shade and AC (while other guides talked directly in the sun). You will not be disappointed!

This tour is the perfect one to do in summer. Maria was always conscious of making sure we were weren’t in the sun too long. The first stop at the crypt ended with the group walking to a cooly air conditioned bus for the ride to the catacombs. The catacombs were refreshingly cool being so far underground. Special note: by Vatican law and because the Vatican controls to grounds, different tour guides will take over inside the catacombs. Don Sam was great. He was an actual priest. Be aware, there are no photos inside the catacombs. We went to the last church via bus as well. The tour ends a short distance from multiple Rome metro lines. It was a great half day tour!

Underground Tour

The tour was packed with information and very interesting. The underground areas of the Colosseum have a ton of history and artifacts that are worth seeing. Our guide was an archaeologist, who was extremely knowledgeable, and he provided insight to how many elements of the colosseum came to be discovered and how activities at the colosseum were run. Our guided tour was for the underground and the arena. After the guided portion of the tour; we were welcomed to explore the higher floors of the colosseum on our own. We chose not to do so because of the heatwave ongoing during our time in Rome. After the tour, our tickets also provided self visits of the forum and palestine hill across the street. Highly recommended walking tour

Our tour guide, Maham, was great! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. We appreciated the clear instructions. The only addition could be for Carpe Diem tours to mention that entrance to the Pantheon is not included. We didn't realize that at the time of booking. Overall, highly recommended tour!!

Enjoyable morning seeing the central sites of Rome

Really enjoyed seeing the sites of central Rome. Definitely preferred this to the ancient sites. Liked seeing the pantheon and learning about the history of Piazza Navona. Liked being given a complimentary gelato when we got to Trevi Fountain, and then seeing Spanish Steps. Our guide, Donnatella, was very knowledgeable about everything. Would’ve liked better reception with the audio guides, but was probably because it was quite crowded. Thank you.

Very informative and the guides are incredible. It was a treat to have Olga as our guide for the Vatican portion of the tour. This tour is full of incredible facts and gives you plenty of time in between to grab lunch and make it to the next tour. I went in June, so be aware of the heat because it is a lot of walking and can be very hot.
