Operating Schedule: The tour departs at 8:20pm & 8:30pm from Big Bus Stop #1 Termini Railway Station (Via Giovanni Giolitti 32). Please arrive 15 minutes before your chosen departure time. The Night Tour is a panoramic tour, not a hop-on, hop-off tour and is available from 10 April – 2 November only. Infants aged 4 and under travel free of charge and do not require a ticket.

You will quickly see a lot of sites that you may not have time to visit. Get there early as there is limited seating on the open air top. Part of the top is covered and has a limited view. Inside the bus, the windows were dirty and we couldn’t take any good pictures.
Terribly disappointing. Disorganized from the beginning as there were no clear instructions as to what line to be in. We did not go to see the Trevi fountain or the Vatican as advertised I will never go on a Big Bus tour again in any city. .
Note the voucher you receive is not your ticket but the ticket person is at the bus stop to provide your ticket.
This experience was hands down one of my favourite parts of the trip. You see so much and the digital audio guide is fabulous telling you the history of each attraction you see.
Passing the colloseum lit up was just beautiful. Loved this!!!
Please avoid this trip extremely over subscribed ,
My wife and we forced to sit on separate seats - was meant to be a romantic night bus tour we had to sit 4 seats away ,
Also there were 3 other tourists on the buss scoffing kfc food , many guests asked them to kindly stop eating it as it was discusting smell and food was prohibited on the tour ,
Do not book with viatour who use big bus tours kindly use another tour that’s not so over subscribed,
Unfortunately the whole experience was ruined
I have already submitted my complaint to the operator

Dear Big Bus Team,
I am writing to provide feedback regarding our experience on your Panoramic Tour from Rome yesterday.
I purchased our tickets **three weeks ago, prior to leaving Australia**, specifically for the nominated date and time. We arrived approximately 30
Minutes before the tour was due to commence, boarded the bus and proceeded upstairs, only to discover that **all of the panoramic seats were already occupied.
When I asked the driver why there were no seats available upstairs, I was told that other passengers had arrived 1hr earlier and therefore had preference for those seats,
This was extremely disappointing. *Nowhere on our booking confirmation or ticket information did it state that passengers needed to arrive more than an hour before departure to secure an upstairs panoramic seat. Had this been clearly communicated, we certainly would have arrived earlier.
As a result, we had to experience the entire tour downstairs, without the panoramic views that were a major reason for purchasing this particular tour. We were not last minute walkup customers — our tickets had been purchased and paid for three weeks in advance for a specific date and departure time.
Unfortunately, our interaction with the ticket seller also added to the disappointment, as we found their manner quite rude and unhelpful when we raised our concerns.
We had been very much looking forward to this tour as part of our time in Rome, so it was upsetting that the experience did not live up to what we believed we had purchased.
May I strongly suggest that your booking information clearly states something along the lines of:
**“Please arrive at least one hour prior to departure if you wish to secure an upstairs seat with panoramic views. Upstairs seating is not guaranteed.
This would allow customers to make an informed decision and avoid the disappointment we experienced,
Given that we purchased a **Panoramic Tour but were unable to experience the panoramic aspect of it**,
I enjoyed this tour as a first glimpse of Rome. The duration was just right after a very long night/day of travel. Negative: We were rushed on a bus even though we were 30 mins early. The only seats left were at the very back under the tarp. It was extremely hot back there and very difficult to take pictures. We later realized that there were other buses behind us where we might of been able to get a better seat.

Really good driver and good tour go round things twice and stop for pictures - very chilled and relaxed would recommend doing first day so you know what is where

This is practically a scam. They oversell the buses so that some people have to sit below deck or under the roof awning and can’t see. The situation when boarding is chaos and no information about where to go with your voucher. If you get a seat for the “panorama” on the top of the bus, the chaos continues as the passengers start standing and leaning and reaching to take photos. Viator should discontinue this embarrassment.

This was a great way to see parts of Rome we were not able to get to in our short trip. It was beautiful at night! The only thing I would have done differently is that I would sit on the right side of the bus!

Very disorganized at check in. No one gave us headsets. There should be a seat for everyone on top. Half my family was downstairs. Although it was great to see the sights, it would have been nice to see it more at dusk as it was very bright for a nightime view of the sights with lights

We did the night tour, staff was great. The top of the bus was full so we sat below we got horrible pictures between the windows being dirty and the led blue light reflecting none of our pictures turned out. I assume if you sit on top it was better. The information was good on the head set.

We enjoyed our 1 hour evening sunset cruise around Rome. It was beautiful to see things lit up at night and a different perspective to see it from the top of a double decker bus.

Thus was a good tour but very unorganised. We were meant to be on 8:20 pm bus as had tickets but they didn’t let us on even this we arrived at 7:50 pm. We had to wait for the next bus which took ages.

Not worth it at all if you are on the bottom of the bus. Waste of money!!! We got there 15 minutes early and there were no seats left. City is under construction so you really can’t see much if you’re at the bottom

Earphones are provided for the tour, be sure to use them. All the major sites are visited. The tour was listed as 45 minutes but lasted 1hr 10 mins. Overall excellent value for money, I will highly recommend.

Loads to see - different than the hop-on, hop-off experience in the daytime. Same recording playing, but things looked more romantic at night with the buildings illuminated.

You must arrive early. We were ten minutes before departure and had to sit downstairs. Nobody told us where the headphones were or how to plug them in, so we missed at least half of the audio. I ended up asking the driver too late. Upstairs is probably better. Downstairs we could not see well. Indeed, one of the couples seated downstairs asked to get off the bus.

No N golf cart. It had music, info, and fun! Our golf cart was 5 x price and boring. Also golf cart goes through side streets but it is filled with graffiti and trash. I would rather be on a clean street for busses!

Get there 15 minutes early for a guaranteed spot at the top of the bus. If you want to get off at a specific location let the guide know ahead of time.

It is a phenomenal way to get an overview of the layout and history of Rome. The breathtaking part of the bus ride is circling the Flavian Ampitheater, zipping past the Monument of Vittoro Emmanuel I, and the Castle of Angels. The absence of synchronized GPS and Audio makes many parts of the experience frustrating.

Rome is an amazing city. The audio tour was great, gave alot of history as to how rhe historic buildings came to be.
The place to meet the bus is easy to find and boarding and un boarding was seamless. The tour is incredible. A must do!

We read the reviews and arrived early and were immediately placed into a line for our bus and were the first to board. Only one couple did not make it to the top deck and it appeared to be a choice. We had arrived late in the day to Rome and this was a very pleasant trip through the city. It’s not the best opportunity for pictures because we are moving and the camera needs a little more time to capture an evening picture. However, it was a relaxing and stress free way to see the city the first night of arrival.

If you’re unlucky to be last on the bus for your time slot ticket then the only seating is downstairs in rear seats where views out are limited by decals stuck on windows.

We totally missed the tour because our flight was delayed and we had to get a new flight and we missed the tour. I was unable to cancel the tour in time to get a refund. I was very disappointed.
