The tour to Pompei and the Amalfi Coast was amazing. Pepe made a big difference—he picked some really good stops and gave great food recommendations along the way. Pompei was a great stop too. Easy to walk, and honestly there’s a lot you can see in just two hours without feeling rushed. Overall, we had a really good time and would definitely recommend it.

Amazing experience with Antonino

We had a great experience on this tour definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. We started at the Fontana del Tritone, then visited the Catacombs, the Basilica dei Santi Silvestro e Martino ai Monti, and finished at the Capuchin Crypt, which was definitely the highlight. The bone displays were amazing. Our guide Antonino was brilliant, really knew his stuff and was clearly passionate about the history. Would definitely recommend.

Pompeii’s Top Sites

We had a wonderful day visiting Pompeii. Maxi was our bus driver and got us to and from smoothly. Even sitting in the back of the bus we didn’t feel sick which is a credit to him! Our tour guide was Carlos and my husband and I agreed that we wouldn’t have enjoyed the site half as much without all of the information he provided. I don’t know what the maps/information look like at the site since we didn’t need them, but at other major historical sites in Rome we found that more information would have been nice. We left Pompeii feeling like we got a really good breakdown of the most significant parts. Of course the 3 hours each way does limit the time you have at the site and there was much, much more to see- a tour guide is definitely recommended. There is the option to add a hike Vesuvius and one mother/daughter pair had booked it but decided they’d rather stay and learn about Pompeii. Carlos reassured them that there are other volcanoes but only one Pompeii. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone interested!

DONT wear shorts- men or...

DONT wear shorts- men or women- your knees must be covered to enter the Vatican (and your shoulders). 3 people on our tour almost made us miss our entrance time because they had to buy leg coverings, also the pope apparently addresses people in the square on Wed mornings and the Basilica is closed until he finishes speaking. Our tour guide Coen was funny and informative! But- the Vatican guard would not let me into the Baslica because I had a rollator- the rest of my family went and when they arrived there were walkers, stollers and wheelchairs. That was frustrating but Maya Tours was great!

Rome in a Day

Picked up at the Hotel lobby at 8:30am by a driver. The car was very clean and the driver very kind. Drove us to the Vatican to meet our tour guide. The guide walked us through the Vatican with ease and hit all the highlites. Following the Vatican tour we headed to see more sites of Rome, hitting all the hot spots. Lunch was included and then off to the Colosseum. It was a long day of about 8 hours but it was a great way to see all of Rome sites in one day.
