This was one of the best tours I've ever taken and it's really because of Berna, our tour guide. As someone who isn’t religious, I appreciated that this tour felt secular. The stories she told about Michelangelo and the different Popes made this visit so worth it. She knew so much information about what we were looking at in the museum that I wouldn't have known otherwise if I had done this visit on my own. Definitely book this trip and ask for Berna if you can!

We appreciated that our tour guide did not overload us with details about every little fact on the immense artwork at the Vatican. He did, however, paint a beautiful image of the history of Italy and Rome while pointing out particular elements in each room/hall we visited. It was well worth the money to avoid the wait in line on the cold rainy day we visited the Vatican.

This was a great way to tour the Vatican and Sistine Chapel, by skipping the line and having a guide who was very knowledgeable. He was also very patient with my husband, who is 85 and uses a cane. He helped us get an elevator where possible. But note that there are still many stairs involved in the tour. Our tour group was only 7 people, so it was fairly easy to stick together, although it is a very crowded place. We were given headsets so we could hear the guide, and they provided an over-the-ear option for those with hearing aids, which was great. At the end, we were given the option to tour St. Peter's Basilica on our own as well. It was a great experience.

Guide was exceptional. She was extremely knowledgeable and balanced detailed explanations while? holding the interest of a group ranging from a twelve year old, 2 twenty year olds, their parents, and grandparent. Ludovicia(? Correct, spelling). Although the museum was very crowded, she kept track of us and was patient with answering our questions or stopping for photos, navigating both with ease. The handout with a guide to the images in the Sistine chapel was a bonus.

Can’t say enough about Berta. Fantastic guide. We were lucky enough to have a small group and she was so great about explaining everything. Art, history, faith. The Sistine Chapel is on everyone’s list, but the Map Room when walking the museum is quite something. There’s a beautiful view of the dome when coming thru the museum.

I would suggest that a guided tour is the best way to gain some understanding and insight of the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel as there is so much to see and take-in. For sure, one trip is not enough! Our tour was excellent and hit the right balance between the need-to-know, nice-to-know and quirky information about what we were looking at and seeing. The pace of the tour was well-judged and left sufficient time to ask questions and just stand and admire the exhibits and scenery around us, all of which were awe-inspiring. Being able to access St Peter's Basilica directly at the end of the tour was a bonus too as we avoided the lengthy waiting line. Our tour guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and great fun which really added to making the tour a great one for my wife and I, and one which I would thoroughly recommend.

Francesca expertly navigated us through the crowded Vatican museum. She was quite knowledgeable and explained the significance of the highlighted artwork. It would have been easily overwhelming without a guide.

We only allowed a little over 2 hours for this tour.
The Vatican Museums are HUGE!…you should plan 4 hours to not be rushed and enjoy the beauty of these rooms. They are other worldly gorgeous!

Guide-Maura-talked too fast and moved too fast, not allowing us to take in the murals, head sculptures, and other areas. We had a very limited time in the Sistine Chapel.
Tour was started 45 minutes late and we were rushed through all rooms. It was as if she had another tour in 2 hours.

All were friendly and the tour was quite in depth. If you LOVE the details, this trip is for you. Be aware, all of the tours we booked in Rome went well beyond the max time listed. The guide was helpful in getting us on our way to the next booking. We should have booked more of an over view Tour. One of the four of us devoured the history, but the other three left the day feeling overwhelmed with information.
Google maps took us right to the meeting spot. Great guide. Informative Tour. Good meet up directions. The day exceeded our expectations.

Our guide did not cover any history about Vatican City, he simply named off statues as we walked thru the tour. The tour company provides these low quality hearing devices that are terrible and do not stay on your ear. It’s was extremely hard to hear anything the guide was saying. We were better off with a self tour.

We had an absolutely amazing tour today! The company was extremely well organized and did not disappoint in their promise to skip the line. The entrance line into the Vatican museum/Sistene chapel was incredibly overwhelming, so it was a huge relief to be guided to the front of the line. We had the audio guide provided to us, and made it from the beginning of the museum to the end at St. Peter’s Basilica within 2.5 hours. We went at a moderate pace, which seemed reasonable for all in our group, and ended up being for our benefit as we didn’t care to spend the entire day there, and finished with our afternoon free. The booking included our admission to the Vatican museum/sistene chapel, and the Basilica. It does not include ticket to ride the elevator to the top of the dome. This would’ve been incredibly overwhelming to plan by ourselves, so do yourself a favor and book this tour and have the logistics taken care of. Thank you for a great day!

This tour guide's accent is hardly understandable. And we were not given enough time to browse the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. We were always pushed to move, move, move, no time to actually appreciate the artworks beauty and their religious meaning. Overall experience of this tour is jammed, rushed, no clue what the tour guide is talking about and no spiritual uplifting at all.
