Interesting tour, and a way to see Rome at night feeling a little more secure. Our guide Semi was terrific. Informative and energetic. Also, he started the tour walking very briskly, and when I asked him to modify his pace for older folks in our group, he was very accommodating. Excellent guide for the tour.

Itinerary

As daylight turns to darkness, it’s the ideal time to get out and see the haunted side of Rome. With a guide who knows how to tell a good ghost story, you’ll walk from Corso Vittorio to the ancient Campo de’ Fiori, hearing legends from the Roman Empire and Renaissance along the way.

On a route that passes Piazza Farnese, the Tiber River, and Castel Sant’Angelo, you’ll learn about Rome’s villainous neighbors, haunted bridges, and homicides as the city’s hidden history unfurls itself from the shadows.

After roughly 1.5 hours, your tour reaches its end near Castel Sant’Angelo, leaving you well placed for restaurants, bars, and streets steeped in history.

Great evening tour of less-public aspects of Rome history

Alberto was right on time and lead a very interesting tour. It covered some of the less-visible side Roman history … the burning heretic, the mass poisoner, the horrific prison, and more. Cool stuff!

This tour was a lot of fun and just the right amount of time. Our guide, Althea, was great! She had a really good sense of humor, which made the tour even more enjoyable. Also, she walked at just the right pace and that was a great relief to someone like myself that has a hard time walking because of back issues. The places we visited all had interesting stories and it was really neat to see them at night. Also, one of the things that was pointed out was something that you can find all over Rome so the tour continued to provide us with enjoyment after we were done with it. I definitely recommend this tour.

Aletha was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and a fun experience to have in our last night in Rome. My recommendation is do this walk on your first night in the city so you can go back and experience them at a later date. She gives you recommendations for food and wine. Definitely glad we did this.

Late arrival in Rome did not allow for tour. While ai understand that refunds are not permitted, I asked to attend this tour at a later time or perhaps a discount for another tour altogether. Zero consideration or help given.

Not scary at all.

There were only two stories told, which did not really go into depth. The tour was not scary, and resembled more a regular tour in the dark. Going more into depth with the tales could make the tour more engaging, and pointing out specific artifacts or even stones could make it more fun.
