The tour sounded really cool. Little did we know that you should have read the book or watched the movie. We had issues at every stop because of All Saints Day. Our poor guide was beside herself. She tried really hard to get is into everything otherwise she would show us pictures of what we missed. Any other day it would have been a 5 star

A must see for Amy fans of Angels and Demons (book or movie) walk through Italy as the story unfolds. Learn fact from fiction. See amazing sites of Rome in the comfort of a van. Our tour guide Rob made the story come to life as he portrayed the characters acting out events and having visual guides to help. It was like watching the movie, reading the book, but instead of seeing it in your mind or on the screen it is happening live right in front of you!

Do not book this tour on a Sunday morning. We were not able to go into any of the churches because of Sunday services. What a high dissatisfaction since the point was to see the works of Bernini as part of the tour.
Our tour guide, Inti, did his best to make a bad situation as good as possible.
I feel we should get compensation from Viator for allowing a tour on Sunday morning that was unable to fulfill its promise of the very thing we signed up for!

We were extremely disappointed with this tour and would not recommend to anyone. Definitely did not get the experience or value for money. No less than three film locations did we get to see. Wish we had done on our own and saved our money

We had a great morning gaining fascinating insights into the historical sites included in the book. We were lucky to be the only ones on the tour, so the experience was all the more unique. Our guide, Inti, was awesome! Besides his thorough knowledge of the ancient sites, he also brought the experience to life by adding some dramatic effect and humour. We’re really glad we did this tour and would recommend it to fans of the book and those interested in seeing some of the not so obvious sites too.

Being in Rome just days after the passing of the Pope made this Angels and Demons tour even more poignant. However, the highlight of the tour was our guide, Inta. He made this tour fun and informative. He weaved drama, history and his own unique brand of excitement to entertain us all.

Our guide was very knowledgeable, however, the stops were a bit disappointing. Santa Maria del Popolo, the first church, has been closed for almost a year and is still advertised as a stop on the itinerary. The Pantheon, confirmed in our booking, mysteriously disappeared from the itinerary. The other locations were terrific and our guide gave them adequate attention. As a fan of the book, Angels and Demons, visiting some of the locations gave me an appreciation of how Dan Brown put the story together.

So disappointed! Our guide was unenthusiastic and most of the sites we were supposed to see (ie churches and fountains) were either closed or under construction and have been for some time. This should be made known before booking… we would never have booked at present if we had been told. Also the microphone on the bus was not working and so the guide gave no information at all when we were travelling between locations which he would have normally.
Additionally, he gave us some incorrect information!!
We feel like we have learnt nothing new at all from the tour, complete waste of time and money.

If you are hoping to see the sights described in the book Angels and Demons you will be disappointed. Two of the 5 are closed for renovations. If you go on a Wednesday you cannot go to St. Peter's Square because the Pope has audiences in the square. Be prepared for lots of stairs at the Castel. They do have an elevator, but that does not go to the terrace (viewing opportunity of the city). Our guide did not share there was an elevator so 4 members of my party left. Overall, very disappointing.

Theatrical in every sense, the tour brought the intrigue of the book to life with dramatic storytelling, engaging guides, and captivating stops at iconic locations. The blending of history, art, and suspense kept us enthralled throughout. It was well-paced, with plenty of opportunities to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the detailed narratives. This was a wonderful tour. Rob is an amazing tour guide. He's extremely knowledgeable about Roman history and Dan Brown's Langdon Series. He took us on a highly entertaining journey through Rome's sites retracing Langdon's steps through the book. The motorcoach ride with it's comfy seats and AC was a treat given the stifling heat in Rome in June. Bravo to CityWonders for a fantastic tour.

Perhaps the "excursion/trip", would have been better if the ANGELS AND DEMONS tour had been more accurately described as being based on Dan Brown's novel/film! If you are not familiar with it I would save your money and time!

The tour was really interesting - a combination of Rome history and stories from the book! Our tour guide, Rob, was PHENOMENAL - I can’t say enough about how amazing he was. He had a depth of knowledge about both the book and Rome to make the entire experience very worthwhile.
Definitely encourage anyone whether you know much about the book to go on this tour!

I was 70% interested in this book, and our tour guide Rob brought the story to life! He mixed the book's storyline with history of Roman culture, Italian language, and Italian history.
Rob was engaged with every ember of the tour and prepared and enthusiastic for the tour. We were so impressed with his knowledge of the book vs the films vs the truth.
We loved this tour so much, we booked another tour he told us he was guiding later that day.
We are musicians who love history and would recommend this tour to all our family and friends.

I don’t want to bring down their ratings too badly, because we didn’t actually go on the tour. The ending point was mapped to a Castel Sant Angelo that was 1.5 hours away from the starting point. We thought we would have no way back to our lodging, so we didn’t go. It wasn’t until our Vatican Tour that we realized it was the wrong location. We have yet to receive any sort of correspondence after three days, and we messaged the tour operator prior to the tour. We are hoping for a refund, but we’re unsure if we are going to get it.
