Excellent Value

Nancy_C, Mar 2026
Excellent value for the money seeing all the main sights on our city break. Regular bus times too so never waited long for another bus

Frustrating

RHONDA_N, Mar 2026
The receipt said hop on at any stop. However, it was not made clear there was a green line and a gray line. We had to walk over a mile to catch the gray line even though the green line was at our hotel. Plus, there was a marathon the day we had purchased and half the stops were not available. We live out of the country and had purchased in advance for the only day we had available. It was frustrating and disappointing.

Brilliant audioguide!

Joanna_E, Mar 2026
The audioguide on the 'I Love Rome' bus was terrific! It was interesting and I felt it was written by someone knowledgeable. It was definitely better than any other tour bus I have ever been on anywhere in the world - well done! Thank you

I chose I Love Rome,...

PJ_S, Mar 2026
I chose I Love Rome, because it was the only company that showed a stop I could get to-I’m in a wheelchair. I arrived at 4:30. The website showed hours of 8 a.m.-6:40 p.m. Other companies were there. No I Love Rome appeared in the next 2 hours.

You Get What You Pay For

Marla_K, Mar 2026
The Positives: Nice clean bus. Good price. Audio recording was clear and informative. The Negatives: Waited quite a while for pick up while we saw twice as many competitor buses arrive in the same time. Top was covered I assume due to rain forecast and the windows made it difficult to take pictures.

Rubbish

Nick_C, Mar 2026
A lot of time spent sitting at bus stops listening to diddly diddly music instead of explanations about what we were near. Also very often the explanation came after we had passed the attraction. We also missed the stop for the Colosseum entirely. Not good / rubbish.

Too Slow & Absent

KellyAnn_R, Feb 2026
I ❤️ Rome bus - waited and waited and still no bus. All the other bus lines have passed me by about half a dozen times.

It was a fun experience,...

Maribel_M, Feb 2026
It was a fun experience, I enjoyed the ride, it was challenging to find the bus station with the construction some of the sites were closed and we had a hard time to find it

Great day

Migdalia_R, Feb 2026
It's a very good route and to see for the first time all of the main landmarks. The bus conditions aren't the best. Only one door would open so we had to go in and out thru the same door.

Very poor service. Wheelchair space filled with luggage.

Anne_P, Feb 2026
The first bus that arrived had luggage in the wheelchair space, the second had a broken door so my mother’s wheelchair could not get in and the third one we managed to get in did not stop at Santa Maria Maggiore. The staff claimed we had missed the stop but they definitely did not announce a stop or even pull over. We then asked which next stop would have cafes as we had been waiting so long by then. They said in 2 more stops, then failed to announce or stop again so we found ourselves back at the beginning! We decided to stay on to get to Santa Maria Maggiore and coming back they left the stop before the designated last pick up time so we ended up getting an Uber. We saw lots Greenline and Big Red Bus picking up and dropping off so we’d go for one of them in the future. Very poor experience over all.

Driver was very rude when we asked a question. Slammed his door and yelled at us as we disembarked. Terrible!

Katherine_B, Feb 2026
Driver was rude. Called a question and he could not answer because he did not know English. Not good!

I ♥️ Rome Bus Tour

Griselda_P, Jan 2026
It was a relaxing and educational experience! I booked this tour the night before, and despite having some issues with the app, I was able to communicate with someone via email and easily generate my tickets.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

We are pleased to hear that the experience was both relaxing and educational. It is great to know that, despite the initial app issues, our team was able to assist you by email and help you generate your tickets smoothly. Your feedback is truly appreciated and encourages us to keep improving our service. Best regards, I Love Rome Hop On Hop Off City Tour

Overall good experience

Christal_C, Jan 2026
Overall the experience was good. There were a few minor issues of having difficulty finding the stops and not having clear directions. One day, the driver was very late for the first stop. They have several stops around town that get you closish to the attractions.

The tour functions as it...

TraceyAnn_A, Jan 2026
The tour functions as it should. It was a bit challenging finding the exact pickup location. Other companies had someone at the stops in shirts which made it easier to identify them, it would be nice if this tour did the same. We hopped on the bus, got a ticket on a white slip and we were not told that we needed to present that each time we got back on the bus. Instead I used the barcode from this app which was when we were informed that we needed to use the white slip. The communication was not the best. All in all, for the price it’s doable. Wait time was not long and the audio on the bus was easy to follow.

A must do for travelers

Karin_G, Nov 2025
Hugely helpful for getting an overview and then getting closer to places we wanted to be. Buses came frequently. We always book a hop on hop off bus no matter where we go. Cheaper than taking Stacie’s or ride shares

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Dear Guest, It is appreciated that you shared this lovely feedback. We’re glad the service helped you get an overview of the city and reach the places you wanted to explore, and it’s great to know you found the buses frequent and convenient. Your loyalty to hop-on hop-off tours wherever you travel truly means a lot. Best regards, I Love Rome Hop On Hop Off City Tour

Rome November 2025

Paul_W, Nov 2025
Descriptions over ear buds did not line up with bus location. It was often hard to tell what building was being described.

Hop on Hop Off bus in Rome Gray Line

JONI_T, Nov 2025
When you get off the train station for the bus, taking a few more minutes to get on the bus. Wait time at pickup #1 was closer to 25 minutes. All other stops were in the 15 minute time frame. Love these HOHO ways to travel the city 😊

Roma trip

Georgianne_M, Oct 2025
Not enough time. We’re not able to get off bus and not enough to see from bus. Would have like to see trevi fountain.

Colosseum and Archeological Site Guided Tour

Lori_S, Oct 2025
Extensive walking tour of nearby temples and archeological site next to collosuem was interesting. Its a little hard to find the start of the tour. About 15 different tour companies meet around Cafe Roma. A bigger sign with the tour group name on it high up on a post or something would keep folks from wandering around searching for the sign-in. Other predatory tour company "marketers" hound tourists looking for the starting point trying to mislead you into signing up for their tour, instead. This is prime location for pick pocketers, too, so mind your wallets and backpacks. Its a huge complex and you walk for 2 hours before the colloseum portion. Wear good shoes! The guide was nice, if not a little hard to understand her English, but it helped to have the ear buds so you could follow along and hear her, even if you wandered a bit off from the group. There is a second, 2 hour portion inside the colloseum. Going to the underground rooms and staging area was very cool. This tour takes you to some portions that are restricted from general admission so you can enjoy the tour with less crowds and chaos. The place is otherwise mobbed with people. Very long bathroom lines in colloseum, so go in the temples area before heading in. It would be uncomfortable in blazing sun and heat of summer. We went in October and it was perfect.

A faster way to see all of Rome’s attractions without going through long lines…

Reejee_G, Oct 2025
Tour was ok. I could have given it 5 stars but there are some areas they could have done better: 1. It has limited stops, only 6 as compared to others . 2. The tour ends early in the day.

Great way to see the city

Grant_M, Oct 2025
Great way to see the city. We went through the whole city first and then went back on to what spot’s interested us and visited either then or another day. But make sure your hat is secured if on the top of the bus..mine flew away lol

Great way to see Rome!

Rachel_S, Oct 2025
Great way to get around Rome and see the sights. Easy to do and once you’ve found the first stop, it’s simple to find all the others using the map. Audio was great, clear and informative!

Hop on hop off

Gina_M, Oct 2025
The only issue was it was super crowded. But that's was our fault for booking on a Sunday. Other than that nice ride and good info on the headsets.

Good way to get around the city and audioguide very informative

Gavin_G, Oct 2025
Great way to get around the city and see the popular landmarks especially when traveling with a family. Also got great info from the Audioguide.

NOT Hop on Hop off… one way

Melissa_M, Oct 2025
Terrible experience! You wait like crazy.. it’s a “hop on hop off” but there was not hopping as if you don’t read the fine print, it a one way ticket tour.. with no one speaking . Come to find out you need earphones.. so don’t do it.. find another way

Good Overview

Shirley_G, Sep 2025
This is a good way to get a sense of Rome's many attractions. Narration could have been better. There were some drop offs and timing did not always line up. Still this was a great way to see the many sights of Rome.

See Rome!

leesac143, Sep 2025
This is a good way to get around the city and see all the main sites. The busses ran close to the scheduled times and there was plenty of seating, upstairs and downstairs. The boarding process was quick.

Easy and practical

Carmen_M, Sep 2025
Very easy and practical. An excellent way to see the most important points of interest if you don’t have much time to spare. Tje flexibility of getting on or off wherever you need is the best and the route is excellent.

Take the big bus instead

Antoinette_N, Sep 2025
Not good. The guide was very rude and the recording was extremely sparse. Would not recommend, take another bus company

The bus is a superficial way to get a feel of the city

Diego_P, Sep 2025
Is a standart tourist bus that helps just to locate the main points of the city but it doesnt allow you to enjoy it unless you get off
