This was a great way to get an overview of Rome! We chose the 24 hour ticket and it was perfect for getting us around the city
Dale_C, May 2026
Difficult to find bus locations and the recorded commentary was either behind or ahead of the site areas probably due to traffic.
Lisa_B, May 2026
Convenient schedule, buses arrive every 15 minutes, and stops at all the major attractions. It’s crowded on the weekends and in the middle of the day. We loved being close to a stop.
Pamela_S, May 2026
What a wonderful positive experience being on the top deck of the bus and seeing so much of Rome! It was perfect, and the headset helped to explain everything!!!
Jim_H, May 2026
Audio on bus is fabulous! Drivers are expert. It was a great way to get around Rome. We are doing it again today
Lauren_L, May 2026
Great way to see the city and side street's. Would have given 5 stars .. except for the boarding disorganization and ensuring those who were there first boarded first.
Janice_D, May 2026
We were not allowed on at our first stop even though there were seats. Waited a long time for next bus and saw other bus companies 2-3 times. Refused more people on that bus but let us on and there were extra seats again. Waited at each stop for 5-10 minutes. Made the experience very boring and disappointing.

It is extremely hard to find the pick up points. We asked several people along the way. It was very frustrating

Great way to get introduced to any city. We have used this in every city we have been all over the world

This was a great way to get oriented on our arrival day in Rome, especially since we arrived at hotel at 11:00 am & couldn't check-in until 3:00 pm.

Don't prebook this tour with Viatour as the tickets were almost impossible to access. When I contacted Viatour they didn't help as they said it was up to the Grey Line to help us but didn't provide us with any contact dettails. The bus stops were also difficult to find.
Geralyn_H, Apr 2026
The English version of the tour was excellent. Often the announcing doesn’t keep up with the views but we found it was great. The guides that met us at stop #6 were really friendly and helpful.
Richard_R, Apr 2026
The communication was not great. Some of the stops were changed due to traffic patterns, but this was not communicated prior to arriving at the scheduled stop. Also, we received 3 different explanations from representatives about where the temporary stop was located.
Also, on several occasions, the bus stopped for 10-15 minutes at a stop before proceeding. This limited our ability to get off and spend time at some of the stops.
As a way to see the city and get your bearings for future activities, this bus was okay, but not great due to the issues described.

DO NOT use this company!! This was a waste of time. First off, information regarding the tour was very vague, even in the App. The only directions were to find a stop- did not provide information as to where the stops were other than near stated landmarks. The advertisement also states buses come frequently, however, that was not the case. After finally locating a stop, we waited 35 minutes for a bus to come. When it finally did, we were told that it was full and needed to wait for the next one. We then waited an additional 15 minutes for the next bus. We were only able to use it for one stop essentially. We found the staff to be extremely rude and particular about those they would let on ahead of others. Use another company if possible- all the others had buses coming and going more frequently. Absolute waste of a day!

Excellent tour of Rome very informative.
Well organized- Affordable price
I highly recommend this company
Ginger_C, Apr 2026
This experience was very unorganized. The buses were difficult to find. They were overbooked. Wait lines for the buses were long and crowded. No guarantee to get on a bus that you are waiting on for long periods of time. I do not recommend this activity.

We got on at Roma termini, having had
to wait for the 4th bus to come as they were all full.
When we did get on the bus, we got stuck at the back of the bus with nowhere to plug our headphones in and bearly able to see out of a window.
At the second stop the person marshalling the customers came on any ask for any small children to sit on parents laps .
We decided to get off at the collosum along with about 10 other people. After a walk around the collosum we headed back to catch the bus, to then have to wait for the 3rd bus to come around and when 10 people got off we hoped we could get on but the que was told only 2 seats available. With the wait for the bus at termini and then the wait at the collosum 2 and 1/2 hours had passed. We decided to walk to the next stop as we were very fed up .
We ended up not using the bus again as our 4 hour ticket had run out by the time we had stopped for a drink . What a waste of money
To travel to metro stops .

Good kids audio option.
Bus stopped at all the stops other companies stopped at and bus had an open roof.
R_T, Apr 2026
Helpful tour operator texted directions to the bus stop nearest to our location. Very enjoyable way to see the city without walking and to note locations we wanted to revisit.
One extra * for the wonderful weather in Rome at the weekend!
Nancy_C, Mar 2026
Excellent value for the money seeing all the main sights on our city break. Regular bus times too so never waited long for another bus
RHONDA_N, Mar 2026
The receipt said hop on at any stop. However, it was not made clear there was a green line and a gray line. We had to walk over a mile to catch the gray line even though the green line was at our hotel. Plus, there was a marathon the day we had purchased and half the stops were not available. We live out of the country and had purchased in advance for the only day we had available. It was frustrating and disappointing.

The audioguide on the 'I Love Rome' bus was terrific! It was interesting and I felt it was written by someone knowledgeable. It was definitely better than any other tour bus I have ever been on anywhere in the world - well done!
Thank you

I chose I Love Rome, because it was the only company that showed a stop I could get to-I’m in a wheelchair. I arrived at 4:30. The website showed hours of 8 a.m.-6:40 p.m. Other companies were there. No I Love Rome appeared in the next 2 hours.
Marla_K, Mar 2026
The Positives: Nice clean bus. Good price. Audio recording was clear and informative. The Negatives: Waited quite a while for pick up while we saw twice as many competitor buses arrive in the same time. Top was covered I assume due to rain forecast and the windows made it difficult to take pictures.
Nick_C, Mar 2026
A lot of time spent sitting at bus stops listening to diddly diddly music instead of explanations about what we were near. Also very often the explanation came after we had passed the attraction. We also missed the stop for the Colosseum entirely. Not good / rubbish.

I ❤️ Rome bus - waited and waited and still no bus. All the other bus lines have passed me by about half a dozen times.
Maribel_M, Feb 2026
It was a fun experience, I enjoyed the ride, it was challenging to find the bus station with the construction some of the sites were closed and we had a hard time to find it
Migdalia_R, Feb 2026
It's a very good route and to see for the first time all of the main landmarks. The bus conditions aren't the best. Only one door would open so we had to go in and out thru the same door.
Anne_P, Feb 2026
The first bus that arrived had luggage in the wheelchair space, the second had a broken door so my mother’s wheelchair could not get in and the third one we managed to get in did not stop at Santa Maria Maggiore. The staff claimed we had missed the stop but they definitely did not announce a stop or even pull over. We then asked which next stop would have cafes as we had been waiting so long by then. They said in 2 more stops, then failed to announce or stop again so we found ourselves back at the beginning! We decided to stay on to get to Santa Maria Maggiore and coming back they left the stop before the designated last pick up time so we ended up getting an Uber. We saw lots Greenline and Big Red Bus picking up and dropping off so we’d go for one of them in the future. Very poor experience over all.
Katherine_B, Feb 2026
Driver was rude. Called a question and he could not answer because he did not know English. Not good!
