Meet your guide at the corner of 1st St NE & Constitution Ave NE, on the sidewalk outside the Reserve Officers Association building (private building; do not enter). We cannot accommodate guests who arrive more than 15 minutes late. There are no restrooms until the second hour of the tour.

The tour ends at the US Capitol Visitor Center where you will be given tickets to take the docent-led tour inside the Capitol Building. The docent-led tour is about 50 minutes and is included in the 3 hour length of the tour.

Trevor was a great tour guide. He provided a lot of information about the Capitol, the Supreme Court building, and the Library of Congress. Trevor was the perfect tour guide. He has a terrific sense of humor. Trevor gave us an expansive history lesson in such a fun way. We learned about the Capitol building and workings of congress. There was a brief talk in front of the Supreme Court building. We got to see the inside of the library of congress- got a feel for it but this is not meant to be an exhaustive tour of the library. We ended at the Capitol. Trevor gave us a nice introduction and then handed us off to a terrific Capitol tour guide, Rochelle. It was perfect- not too much for those who don’t want to get bogged down with too many facts. Trevor recommended more things we could see on our own. It was a great afternoon!

Although our Capitol Hill tour was shortened by King Charles III visit ( we missed the Statuary Room) Trevor adapted the tour seamlessly by enhancing our tour of the Visitor Center and Library of Congress. He is a wealth of knowledge. We got to see the Guttenberg Bible and an original map of the world, the first one including the Americas. Truly fascinating and worth the trip. If your main goal is to see more of the Capitol, then check the news before you book, but we were not disappointed and would recommend DC on Foot

Due to some unexpected weather and museum closures our planned itinerary became askew. Trying to find a last minute alternative was proving difficult because everything seemed to be booked up, so I purchased this tour last minute. So glad we did! Trying to see the Library of Congress, including the reading room plus the Capital would take a lot more time if I was trying to do it on my own. Our guide, Vicky knew exactly how to maximize our time to see the most things. Even as we stood inline she was pointing out points of interest. Could I have done this on my own- no because all the free tickets had been allocated, but even if I had been able to secure tickets, it would’ve taken us twice as long because I wouldn’t have known when to stand in line and what to do once I got inside. So thankful for Vicky’s guidance.

Took the three hour Capitol Hill tour with Ingeborg. Really enjoyed this tour and got a lot out of it. Ingeborg was very engaging, really knew her stuff, and I think we all learned some interesting background on the Library of Congress, Supreme Court, and US Capitol. Would definitely recommend this tour. Just the right length of time to see the sites and learn about them, but not get exhausted doing it.

First of all, our guide Ingeborg did a very good job. She was very knowledgeable, approachable and good to talk to. However, due to the government shutdown the tour was just outside in front of the three buildings that we really would have liked to see from the inside. Even though we had known about the shutdown, we still were very disappointed. Maybe the company should have canceled the tour.

We met some terrific people on the tour from Australia, Florida and the UK. However THE star of the show was Daniel our guide. We learned a great deal on the history of Washington and the USA. A must do tour!
