Tour with skip the line is definitely worth it. The only draw back was there were a bunch of high school students and they were not very hospitable.

I called early to see if possible to arrive to the location early. I got a very incredible yes and my partner and I arrived and it was a one on one aspect due to being the only ones for the tour time we requested. Christina our guide went above and beyond her duties and was extremely knowledgeable, through, and as well patient to when we encountered the craziness of other tourist. This experience was unforgettable and very well worth the time and effort that was given!

It has been a long time since American History…Andrew made sure my memory returned, and taught me a lot more as well. Very thankful for the hour with him, as the experience was so much better and meaningful. Not to mention, skipping the line and weaving around the building quickly was a great bonus.

Our tour guide was awesome and so informational! We were able to skip the long line outside and go directly to the Declaration of Independence along with the Constitution. Best tour and guide in DC!!!!! Christina was fabulous. So knowledgeable and friendly. If you took 5 hours and stopped to read every single information plaque along the tour, you’d never get as much fact and knowledge as Christina shared in 90 minutes. Great experience and a great guide!!!!

You can see the archives without a guide, but you miss out on so very much. My husband and I took this small group tour with Christina, and she was extremely knowledgeable, passionate about the archives and was just super fun. She described the sculptures on the building, meaning behind the huge paintings and answered any questions. My prior visits without a guide were far less enlightening.

Enjoyed the tour. It was easy walking . The guide was very informative. He knew alot of history. Made the tour fun. Grandson 11 enjoyed it. My husband is almost deaf. The guide made sure he could hear him. Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful. Gave us good advice on other things we were doing. And places to eat. Next time we come I will do more tours with them.

We had such an awesome experience with Unscripted Tours! We walked about 15 minutes from our hotel to the meetup point, a quaint little office right around the corner from the National Archives. The moment we entered, the people at the counter immediately recognized we were unaccustomed to the high humidity heat (being of delicate California constitutions, pun intended) and provided cool water, cold compresses and bandaids for our surprisingly already formed blisters. Once we were cool enough, we embarked on a wonderful small group tour of the archives with our very informative -- very funny -- guide, Dash. He had answers to all our questions! He even added little tidbits and tangents tailored to our interests and intrigues. Yes, you can enter the Archives and walk through taking a quick glance at the documents and head straight to the gift shop free of charge (which is the best in DC, btw) ... but I would highly recommend this guided tour. There's so much more to the documents themselves than what you can see, so much to the building that houses them, so much to the art that surrounds them ... it's a really impressive space.
We learned so much and booked another tour with Unscripted Tours via Viator for a couple of days later to learn more about the Library of Congress and the Capitol Building. Would highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the National Archives and especially appreciated Christina’s commentary on the two murals above the charter documents. The context she provided gave us a greater understanding of the founders collectively as well as insights into some individual figures we didn’t know about previously. She also mentioned a couple of exhibits worth seeing that we were able to visit after the tour.
