Mount Vernon is under construction. Pretty disappointed with what we were actually able to see inside the home
The tour was great. We saw lots of different monuments and Ali was great at telling us information. The only downside was that the White House was having things done to it for the inauguration so we couldn’t get a great view.
We then were taken to Mount Vernon for the afternoon which was a beautiful drive through Alexandria up to Mount vernon where Charles was an amazing tour guide.
got to see several national monuments without doing too much walking. We were dropped off about as close as possible and had just enough time to see them without dilly dallying.
Had Ali today and had a great time. He was very knowledgable about the city and was patient with all of his guests when they had questions
The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. I the the tour should include a stop at the Vietnam memorial.
The monuments portion of the tour was well done. We paid for the additional Mount Vernon tour…We did not realize this was an addition… We were pretty much dropped off at Mount Vernon later in the day in a separate vehicle. We would have preferred to do this first in the morning as the featured portion of the tour not as some work it in deal. The tour guides seemed as though this was an inconvenience to them and asked us three times if we could go on another day… So i didn’t think 300 plus dollars for two of us was worth it.. I’m recommendimg to friends and family that they do a hop on hop off monuments tour and taking a “real” tour to mount vernon or ubering themselves out there… This experience was not worth 300 plus dollars… When i bring additional family back later in the season we’re skipping Viator..
We had a great time seeing all the attractions in DC and Mount Vernon. It is a long day but well worth it.
The Lincoln Memorial, Korean & Vietnam Memorial area. The Martin Luther King Memorial & Franklin D Roosevelt Memorial. Understanding how certain people shaped our nation during certain situations in our country's history.
This tour was split in two. AM Washington DC Mall very informative. PM Robert was exceptional very knowledgeable easy to understand and build a great rapport! Mt Vernon is more than just a house it’s a history lesson.
The first part of our tour felt rushed and we didn't have enough time to really see and read all of the information we wanted too on the Mall. We will do a Hop on, Hop off tour our next trip so we can spend more time seeing exactly what we want too.
The second part of the tour with Robert to Mt. Vernon and Alexandria was awesome! (other than the rain). We had plenty of lesurely time to wander, read and investigate the estate. We learned thta our guide Robert was originally from our home state of Wisconsin.
We had a great time touring with Bobby and Robert. They are very knowledgeable. It is the way to see DC. Loved Bobby’s “dad jokes”
Very nice tour. Alot. Packed into 8 hours. Our morning guide Charles was fantastic. Our afterrnoon guide, Robert was great and so knowledgeable. Only thing I would change is that Robert really used the horn. But, we did get around very fast.
A must do trip if you are visiting Washington DC. Partner this tour with a half day monument tour. You can't go wrong.
Tour was an excellent introduction to a great stay in Washington, DC for anyone interested in seeing all of the important sites.
I enjoyed touring near the White house, seeing capital hill, and getting to meet other people on the tour.
We had a great experience. The tour is actually 2 different tours on the same day. We missed our bus from the morning session but were able to get on a second. We were appreciative that the bus to Mount Vernon waited for us. You need to move quickly through the DC monuments, but it is enough to get a quick photo at them. The Mount Vernon tour was more leisurely and the let that I enjoyed the most. All tour guides were very knowledgeable.
Our tour was cancelled and rescheduled the afternoon before it was scheduled, which scrambled all the other events we had planned for our 3 day stay in Washington DC. VERY DISAPPOINTING!! It was rescheduled due to road closures in the 4th of July. I am pretty sure that information was available prior to the day before!?!?
I cannot remember the name of our 1st driver, but he is why I gave it a 4. He refused to use the microphone so no one could hear him at all. He was talking about the monuments, white house. Congressional buildings so info we wanted to know! Very frustrating. For Mount Vernon we had Robert and he was extraordinary! Extremely knowledgeable, used the microphone and even met me the next day so I could retrieve an item we left on the bus. If the 1st driver had been heard,this would be a 5 star.
Tour with Paul was amazing. He is very knowledgeable of American history and all of the Washington sites in addition to being very entertaining! Highly recommend this tour!
Very informational and fun! It was nice being able to see so many sites and not have to fight traffic and walk all day. Our tour guide was very kind and helpful. He ensured everyone was taken care of and safe. We are so glad we decided to take the all day tour. It is something we will always remember fondly.
