This was the perfect way to see the best of San Francisco when time is limited.
It was a small group (only 4 of us) so it felt personal and adapted to us.
The tour was only 90 mins but we got to see so much and I am really pleased we booked this trip.
Highly recommended if time is limited and you want to really get to see San Francisco.

Thanks for booking direct with Dylan’s Tours! We’re so happy to hear the Lombard Leap was the perfect way to experience San Francisco in a short amount of time. Small groups really do make the experience more personal, and we’re glad you felt that throughout the tour. It’s amazing how much of the city can be packed into 90 minutes, especially with the open-air experience and local storytelling along the way. We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope to see you again soon!

If you're visiting San Francisco and trying to fit a lot into a short trip, this tour is honestly one of the smartest ways to do it. We started with Alcatraz, which completely lived up to the hype. The ferry ride alone gives you incredible views of the skyline, Golden Gate Bridge, and the Bay, and once on the island the audio tour was fascinating and surprisingly emotional. Walking through the prison cells and hearing the stories from former guards and inmates made the whole experience feel very real.
After Alcatraz, we met up for the Lombard Leap open-air tour and that ended up being the highlight of the day. The smaller vehicle made a huge difference compared to the big buses you see everywhere in the city. We could actually get through neighborhoods, hear the guide clearly, and stop for photos without feeling rushed. Driving down Lombard Street in an open-air vehicle was such a fun experience and something you really cannot appreciate the same way from a regular tour bus.
We covered so much of San Francisco in just 90 minutes. North Beach, Chinatown, Russian Hill, the Presidio, Palace of Fine Arts, the waterfront, and some amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Our guide was entertaining the entire time and mixed history with local stories and recommendations that made the city feel alive instead of scripted.
What I really appreciated was how organized everything felt. Instructions were clear, timing worked well, and it never felt overwhelming even with multiple parts to the tour. This combo gave us the perfect balance between exploring on our own at Alcatraz and then having a fun, guided city experience afterward.
If you want a tour that feels more personal, energetic, and uniquely San Francisco, this is absolutely worth booking.

Thanks for booking direct with Dylan’s Tours! We truly appreciate you taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We’re so happy to hear the combination of Alcatraz and the Lombard Leap gave you the perfect balance of exploring on your own and experiencing the city with one of our guides.
Alcatraz really is a special experience, and pairing it with the open-air Lombard Leap is one of our favorite ways for guests to see so much of San Francisco in a short amount of time. We love hearing that the smaller vehicle, neighborhood access, photo stops, and storytelling made the experience feel more personal and memorable. That is exactly what we aim for on every tour.
We also appreciate you mentioning the organization and communication. Our team works hard behind the scenes to make the day smooth and stress free so guests can simply enjoy the city.
For anyone planning a future visit to San Francisco, feel free to give us a call directly at 415-932-6993. Booking direct with us always helps support our local guides and small business.
Thanks again for the amazing review, and we hope to see you again soon!

If you’re looking for a fun, high-energy way to experience San Francisco without committing to a full-day tour, the Lombard Leap 90-minute tour absolutely delivers. This ended up being one of the highlights of our trip and a perfect introduction to the city.
What makes this experience stand out right away is the open-air format. Instead of sitting inside a bus, you’re out in the fresh air with unobstructed views, which makes a huge difference in a city like San Francisco where the scenery is constantly changing. From the moment we started, it felt more like an adventure than a typical tour.
The highlight, of course, is driving down Lombard Street, famously known as the “crookedest street in the world,” with its eight sharp turns and beautifully landscaped surroundings . Experiencing it from an open-air vehicle instead of just walking or waiting in a long line of cars made it feel completely unique. You really get a sense of how steep and iconic it is, and the views from the top are incredible.
But the tour is much more than just Lombard Street. In 90 minutes, you cover a surprising amount of ground. You cruise through several of San Francisco’s most famous neighborhoods, each with its own personality, while the guide keeps things engaging with a mix of history, local stories, and humor. It never feels like a lecture. It feels like you’re riding around with someone who actually knows and loves the city.
Another big plus is the pacing. It moves quickly enough to stay exciting, but there’s still time to take photos and soak it all in. Unlike larger bus tours, you don’t feel rushed or stuck in traffic for long stretches. It’s efficient without feeling compressed.
This tour is especially great for first-time visitors or anyone short on time. It gives you a real sense of the city’s layout, its famous landmarks, and its neighborhoods, which makes the rest of your trip easier to plan. After doing this, we had a much better idea of where we wanted to go back and spend more time.
The guides really make the experience. Ours was knowledgeable, entertaining, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they were doing, which made the whole tour feel personal rather than scripted.
Overall, the Lombard Leap is a perfect mix of sightseeing and fun. It’s quick, memorable, and different from your typical tour. If you want something that captures the energy of San Francisco while hitting one of its most iconic landmarks, this is absolutely worth doing

Thanks for booking with Dylan’s Tours and for such an incredible and detailed review of the Lombard Leap. We love hearing that the experience became one of the highlights of your trip and that the open-air format helped make San Francisco feel more immersive and exciting. There’s definitely something special about feeling the city around you while cruising through the neighborhoods instead of viewing it from behind a bus window.
We’re especially happy you enjoyed the drive down Lombard Street and that the pacing, storytelling, and overall energy of the tour stood out. Our goal with the Lombard Leap was to create something fun, fast-paced, and memorable that still gives guests a real feel for the personality of San Francisco. It means a lot to hear that it helped you better understand the city and plan the rest of your visit.
We’ll be sure to share your kind words with our guides as well. They truly love showcasing the city and making every tour feel personal and engaging. Hope to see you again soon.
