After booking your admission tickets online, make your own way to the California Palace of the Legion of Honor, known to most locals as the Legion of Honor, located in the Richmond District of San Francisco. Be sure to bring your camera for views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Pacific Ocean, and the Marin Headlands from the surrounding area.
The impressive building is a replica of Paris' Palais de la Légion d’Honneur. View the ornate exterior before presenting your admission ticket and proceeding inside.
Walk through the collection of more than 124,000 works at your leisure, stopping to take in the sculptures, paintings, ancient art from the Mediterranean basin, and the largest collection of works on paper in the western United States. Must-see pieces include an original cast of Rodin's "The Thinker" and the flawlessly restored Salon Doré of the Hôtel de la Trémoille, one of the finest examples of French neo-classical architecture in the United States.

Beautiful building, clean, beautiful works. Seemed like there weren’t as many exhibits as I expected.
Check in was very easy. Parking can be a bit challenging, but the views surrounding the museum is fantastic.
The staff were very friendly and polite.
There are plenty of pieces to see at the museum. I would definitely recommend going!
We arrived at the Legion of honor and the Viator app wouldn’t bring up our reservation. We received a screen saying oops sorry we have an error. Couldn’t confirm tickets and had to purchase again. Not happy and won’t use this app sgain
My family member was happy visiting museums in north america and europe ..happy times ..hope to continue the good times with my dad
I enjoyed the art, but was disappointed I didn't get to see the Monet painting, which had been moved.
Absolutely beautiful museum. Everyone was kind and helpful. The restrooms were clean. The bookstore/gift shop had a variety, and the menu at the café looked delicious.
it may have been my fault, but i needed to cancel when i realized your ticket did not get me into the special exhibit i wanted at the museum. And i couldn't ! I think you should offer a 24hour cancellation or put it in up front text that your ticket doesn't offer special exhibits before customer hits "pay"
Just about everything. Each piece is well described with appropriate history of the subject and artist. Impressive.
I loved the Mary Cassatt exhibit, location, the art itself and the descriptions of Mary's life which gave me some insight into her struggles in the societal thinking of the time
The food and service in the cafe was excellent! Was surprised by this. Usually “museum” food is not good. This was the exception.
The architecture and paintings were all so beautiful. You feel transformed into a European museum not in the middle of a large congested city.
Experience was amazing and art was great as well as the view of the bridge and can also go golfing with friends!

I am a native San Franciscan and have visited The Legion of Honour since I was in a stroller!
At 74 years young, I’m still in awe of this wonderful magical place, where time stands still for me with overflowing memories.
It was not disclosed that I'd have to purchase another full price ticket at the door to include the special event. Ended up paying $50 for $30 event. No way to return ticket to your platform day of event.
To crowded to comfortably view! Plus, I was charged twice $30.00 for general admission and the Sergeant in Spain.
I only wanted to see Sergeant in Spain. Probably not.
We went for the John Singer Sargent exhibit and enjoyed that very much. But, I still LOVE the resident exhibits at the Legion. Always comforting to see Bouguereau’s The Broken Pitcher and Makovsky’s, Russian Bride…
First visit for my wife and the collections did impress her. I noticed the changes since my last visit in the 1980s

Being there with family who truly enjoyed the museum as the permanent instillations were beautifully juxtaposed with the temporary exhibit.
I was charged an extra $30 I was not expecting because I used Viator instead of going to the Legion of Honor website. I will avoid using Viator in the future.
Fortunately, I’ve been to the museum, but years ago. We weren’t able to attend because of an event in the area that we didn’t learn about until it was too late.
Last Days of Pompei was excellent. The displays were informative and entertaining. I would recommend to anyone.
Please don’t buy tickets through Viator like I did. Buy then through the museum directly like I should have. Viator customer service is terrible. I will never deal with Viator again.

Beautiful museum. Not only the artwork, but also the building itself, surrounding grounds and view. Well worth to spend half a day here. Combine your visit with a trip to Golden Gate Park and the De Young Museum which can be visit with your ticket as well. Great value for money.
A stunning building containing a stunning art classic art collection. The café is very nice too.
The tour was as described and the Legion of Honor as always had a good exhibit. However the ticket I printed on line from you was no end of trouble. We had to speak with four different people and no noe recognized or knew what the ticket was even thought it contained a bar code. They finally let us in and
still did not know it included an audio tour but eventually did let us have it.
