What To Expect

Your tour begins along Oahu’s beautiful northern coast, at Kualoa Ranch. From there, you are driven by bus to an ancient Hawaiian fish pond. Check out the surrounding tropical gardens before boarding a Polynesian boat to travel the last five minutes to the secluded beach.

Step off into the white sands of the private beach, set alongside the sparkling waters of Kaneohe Bay and with views of Mokoli’i Island. Secret Island Beach is encircled by hau and mangrove trees, keeping the atmosphere completely private.

Then, settle in however you’d like! Enjoy unlimited use of snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and canoeing equipment for exploring the water, or play a round of ping-pong or volleyball on shore. When it’s time to put up your feet, take your book into a hammock or spread out on the sand to gaze at the scenery.

Restrooms, showers, and changing stalls are available, but bring your own snacks, towels, and swim gear. Any last-minute beach items can be purchased before boarding the bus at the Kualoa Ranch gift shop.

Your trip concludes at your original departure point.

Secret Beach Tour

My partner and I fully enjoyed ourselves on this excursion. The event started on time and once we got to the secret beach there were about 3 different tours that were free we had the option to do. We choose the turtle tour and movie site tour, both were great! The beach has volleyball courts, jenga, cornhole and many other games. The multiple guides on this tour were very nice and informative about the island and beach. We will definitely book this again on our next trip back!

we had a very relaxing time at secret beach . we did take our own lunch . but you don't need to as you can buy lunch at kualoa ranch before you head to the island . the staff were fabulous and made sure we had everything we needed . you could use paddle boards . life jackets kayaks if you wanted . there was plenty of shade the water was warm and so clear . even sighted turtles . there were plenty of sun lounges for everyone . they did sell snacks and drinks if you didn't have your own. changing rooms . toilets and cold showers on the island . just a brilliant day . highly recommend . if you are an early riser do the whole day . we were coming from waikiki on the bus number 60 that got us there for 10:25 to check in at 11 am . the bus comes every 30 minutes and is only 3.00 it takes cash.

I would like to start off by saying that getting the half day was a mistake. Definitely get the full day!! 3 hours is not enough, it’s such a beautiful beach and experience. On our tour there were literally like 40people max! So the whole beach was to us!! They have picnic tables, as well as hammocks, beach chairs, kayaks, boat tours, floaties, and soooo much more. This is an experience that is very much worth the price! We will be bringing our whole family on our next trip!!

A great experience! Not to crowded and breath taking views. The employees made everything so easy and were super sweet! Bring your own towels and snacks ( if you don’t purchase the full day) and pick up all your trash! It’s so beautiful there, I spent time picking up other peoples trash… like the guide said, the only thing you should leave behind is your footsteps! Mahalo

The movie set tour was entertaining thanks to our driver, Carlos. Loved how he was willing to take funny pictures of each family at the Jurassic set. The Secret island tour was also a great deal with all the activities included.

AWESOME experience! Wish i did the full day tour instead of the half day There are additional activities such as turtle seeing, canoeing and lake tour ON TOP of the paddleboarding, kayaking and the corn hole, hammok, volleyball activities You meet up at the ranch, take a bus to the lake, take a boat to the island and honestly the time flew by! wanted to stay here longer Outdoor shower and changing rooms were a plus. bathroom was near the lake

Perhaps due to inclement weather, not very many made reservations for the Secret Island Beach Adventure at Kualoa Ranch. We felt like we had the small beach to ourselves! We enjoyed kayaking, snorkeling (not the best), and a great time on a quick sight-seeing boat ride where we spotted a few green sea turtles! There was also volley ball, paddle boarding and other activities to enjoy on the island. There were 2 (out 3) bathrooms and ample changing booths and showers. Tips: 1. Bring your own food - lots of tables to eat on. No stores to buy meals. What little snacks they have is quite pricey. 2. Sign up for the sightseeing boat ride. Friendly crew on the small boat makes it a fun experience - and the sea turtles. 3. Schedule your trip accordingly. Full-day, half day AM, and half day PM is available (when we went).

It is basically an expensive beach day. There were a ton of people there, and you can't really explore the bay. There's a small area marked off for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. We were there at the same time as a huge group from a high school. We signed up for this because we were interested in kayaking to the little island nearby or exploring the Bay but there was not really an option to do so. There are a lot of small things to do which add up to a nice time but it's not how I intended to spend the time or money.

Our family really enjoyed the beach. There were a lot of canoes, kayaks, and other activities easily available that it kept my teens entertained for hours. Would highly recommend!

When we first arrived at the Secret Island I will admit we were a little disappointed thinking we could have just rented kayaks and/or paddleboards for a lot cheaper. However the day turned out to be really good with the best part going out on a boat and seeing lots of sea turtles. It was also fun having volleyball and ping pong. Be aware that there really isn't snorkeling as it claims. There was exactly one child's snorkel set but my daughter had a ball with it even though the water is really quite cloudy there. So it was a fun day and I'm glad we went. Would I do it again? Probably not, but I'm glad we did it once.
