Just before your tour time for this small-group kayaking experience, meet at Sea and Board Sports Hawaii in Haleiwa. Check in and meet your guide for this tour and get suited with kayaking equipment, too. Your guide gives you some tips for while you’re on the water.
Head out on Hawaii’s North Shore with your small group that’s limited to 10 and your guide. Your kayak is see-through, so you can see fish, sea turtles, and other ocean life below you as you paddle along. Snorkeling equipment is also provided so you can stop and get a closer look, too.
After your experience is over, turn in your kayak and say goodbye to your group at the same place you began your tour.

We had so much fun! Our guide was awesome and knowledgeable. We saw 10 turtles and a little stingray! We will definitely do the clear bottom kayaks again!

Had a blast, Evan was a great tour guide and showed us lots of totally live turtles. Went out around the reef and up the river, lots of good conversation and real chill time.

JC was a great guide and made a good call to start earlier due to increasing winds. As a result we had calm waters and got to go pretty far out looking for whales. We also got to get up next to the surf break and watch the surfers. Of course we saw plenty of turtles. The glass bottom canoes are kind of a novelty. The kids liked it, but you can actually see better on a SUP with a good pair of polarized sunglasses. JC knows this a offered the adults a SUP, we should have taken him up on it.

Ww had such a fun experience kayaking with our instructor James. He called us 30 minutes before our appointment to confirm we were good to go. He was very friendly and informative. He took great pictures and videos of the experience for free and emailed them to us after our visit. Thank you for the incredible experience.

James took us out on the water on the stand up paddle boards, super clear guidance had each of us up and paddling with ease. Was a lovely atmosphere going down the river, spotting turtles, and climbing rope! Cheers James 🤩

This kayak trip was the highlight of our trip. We signed up for glass bottom, but the waters were too rough, so the owner called that morning to let us know that we would need to change to a regular kayak and an outrigger canoe. I am so glad we did switch because it was an even better experience! My husband and son were in a kayak together, and my two daughters and I were in the canoe with the owner. Because the owner was guiding the canoe, we could look for turtles and take photos. We saw SO MANY sea turtles! Swimming by us, resting on the shore of the river bed, and then we also got to jump in from a rope swing and jump off a small bridge into the water. It was a great family adventure, and we felt safe and taken care of the entire time. When we return, we will use this company again for another excursion!

We had an amazing experience! Steve texted us earlier in the day to let us know the water would be a bit rough - the attentiveness to our safety and experience was very thoughtful. He ensured us we could participate in a difference activity or even reschedule for another experience. We chose to continue with the tour and it did not disappoint!
Our guide, James, was very experienced but allowed us to go at our own pace. We saw a ton of turtles and the area itself was really scenic. We then went down a river where we saw more turtles! Not only did he get great videos and photos for us, he gave us great insight into the local history and culture.
Overall, we would book with Sea & Board Sports again and again.

We recommend this tour, it is customizable with what you want to do. We picked the clear kayak and turtle tour and saw plenty of turtles! We had plenty of time to snorkel, enjoy the views and go in the water.

My husband and I did this tour yesterday and had an awesome time. We had been kayaking before but these clear kayaks were really cool (and easier to navigate than the ones we had been on before).
James, our guide, clearly loves what he does and excitedly pointed out the many, many turtles that were all around us. The water was super clear, which allowed us to see them right next to us and sometimes even swim under the kayak.
After the turtles, James took us near the drop off point where we saw the beautiful change in the ocean floor scenery through the kayak bottom!
Next was the river, which was so relaxing and a nice change of pace.
Note: I get VERY seasick and got a little woozy in the beginning. I told James halfway through and we took a short break. Definitely take a Dramamine beforehand, but honestly I felt just fine without it, so don’t skip the tour on that account!

an absolutely wonderful guide. He was so patient with all of us and very knowledgeable about the area. We saw so many turtles and got some really amazing photos! The gorgeous sunset was a great bonus too. I would most definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing time!

There is no planned snorkel in Winter in the tour. We brought our equipment and the guide asked us to snorkel in a place that has no fish and the water was not clear.

It was a great experience seeing turtles with a glass bottom kayak. Drake was a awesome guide. He showed us all the turtles where they were and how my wife try out the surfboard which she loved very much. I will definitely do it again we come to Oahu.
