My friends and I did this tour 12/2025. This food tour was absolutely incredible! The selection of dishes was amazing, and every stop offered generous portions that let us truly enjoy each flavor. Our guide Victor was friendly, personable, and made the entire experience fun and welcoming. You can tell he genuinely loves sharing the food and culture of Hawaiʻi.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to try authentic local favorites and learn along the way. Definitely a highlight of my trip! 🌺🍴

Victor made this experience one for the books. My Wife and I were on our honeymoon and this was one of the highlights of the trip. He’s extremely knowledgeable and personable. He made the new foods fun and not intimidating. her. I feel like the whole group had a great time. Definitely book this tour and if you do, ask for Victor!!!

So much fun. It wasn’t the best weather, but TJ and Victor kept their spirits up. I’m so glad we were able to go and try all these foods we’ve never eaten before. Some good, some interesting and some not our favorites. Lots of items to try and variety. The guides were so good and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our entire time! If you can take this tour, do it. You won’t regret it.

I've been on many food tours in different states and countries, but this was the best one. Not only do you get 13+ tastings (come hungry!) and visit locations/restaurants non-locals don't know about, but Victor is a very, very good guide. I don't know how he managed to memorize everyone's names and interests, but he did!
Victor also gave us tips on things to do in Hawaii and other countries we planned on visiting in the future. We left this tour stuffed and with knowledge about Hawaii and various other places.

Victor was absolutely amazing!!! He is super friendly and has a lot of knowledge of the local areas. The food is amazing and you will be full at the end of the tour. Victor had everything planned very well from the first stop to the last stop. Plus Victor picks you up at your hotel and drops you back off. What a great way to spend the morning!!! Thank you again for the wonderful time!!! We loved it.

This tour gives you a little introduction to the delicious cuisine that is available on Oahu. Arrive hungry and ready to sample a variety of unique foods.
Victor was an excellent tour guide. He was friendly, enthusiastic, and extremely accommodating. My husband has some minor health concerns which prevents him from eating a lot of food in a short period of time. Victor made sure that the tastings that we couldn’t finish were properly packed and even iced so we could save them for later. We’ve been on numerous food tours and that was a first.
Poke, sashimi, steamed and fried fish, sweets, fresh fruits, chicken adobo, and the best manapua I have ever had.
I recommend this tour to anyone who loves to try the delicious foods of Oahu. If you’re fortunate to have Victor as your guide you’re definitely going to have an amazing experience!

Guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We got to try a bunch of unique foods we would of never experienced on our own. Area was dirty with a few homeless people asking for change. Food was so-so. But I guess that's the point in trying new things.

Victor, the tour operator and conductor, is native Hawaiian and highly knowledgeable about island culture and cuisine. He is highly intelligent, with excellent communication skills, and is very attentive to all tour participants (quickly learning and remembering names). Victor is also very personable. And you couldn’t ask for a better selection of foods to sample in Honolulu’s Chinatown. My wife and I enjoy taking this tour each time we visit.

Victor was amazing !! Transportation was on time and efficient! The whole tour was organized. Victor had everything ready at every location. He carried wet wipes to clean hand when needed too. He was so knowledgable about all our tasting items and had such a good rapport with all venders. 10 out of 10 recommend. Food was delicious.

We have done several food tours throughout the world this past year. This was far the best in terms of quality and quantity of the food. Our guide Victor was great in giving us the background of the food and the Hawaiian and particularly to Oahu region. It was mainly focused on local and Asian influenced food and dishes. There was a point where we talked about Uni and we told Viktor that in the past we did we had this, but we did not like it. He insisted that the ones in this local fish shop was actually really good and buttery. For us when we tasted it it was an epiphany. The Uni tasted somewhat sweet and buttery with no fishy taste. It was absolutely delicious and will definitely look for it again and sushi restaurants. I would highly recommend this food tour to anyone but particularly if you’re interested in pan Pacific foods.

Victor was a fantastic culinary guide. On our way to and from china town he shared info about Hawaiian cultural- multinational influences.
His tour through the cuisines of china town was over the top, from sandwiches, fruits, meats, super sushi grade tuna and sweets. His passion for the cuisine and his friendship with the purveyors was so apparent.
He welcomed questions and also offered follow up emails for recommendation about other venues on Oahu.
We highly recommend Victor and the off the beaten path food tour.

This is a great way to spend a morning in Honolulu if you’re interested in food and culture. Victor has a broad knowledge of Asian food around the world. He even knew about demographics in Milwaukee WI. Everything was first rate, from the transportation to and from Chinatown to the food and conversation.

Victor was an amazing tour guy and person. He showed us a great time and wonderful foods from the “other side” and perspective of Hawaii. He is born and raised on the island and knows the history as well as the culture but has also been around the world and traveled. He brings a great bit of knowledge about the land and the world to the tour. This was a wonderful tour. Be prepared to eat and experience a great bit of culture. He also provided great follow up before during and after our tour.

Short drive from Waikiki to Chinatown for a leisurely walk. Important to pace yourself so you can enjoy all the delicious foods. The best roast duck and poke. There will be plenty of leftovers if you want to take anything back for a snack later. TJ was our guide who was very knowledgeable and tended to our rowdy group quite well. Highly recommend!

The food is Asian inspired: China, Vietnam, Philippines, etc. The majority of the tastings are in a large market in Chinatown. We had 17 -- not a typo -- tastings. Food included Bao Buns, Roast Duck, variety of pork, a lot of seafood, fruit (eight fruits, seven of which I had never tasted) and a couple of sweets. Great guide. I highly recommend.

This food tour was hosted by two locals that are so personable and proud of the Chinatown markets. You get WAY more food than you can possibly eat and they provide containers to take your extras back with you. Wonderful tour that you won't be disappointed with. Fascinating to see food vendors doing their everyday business!! Highly recommend.

Wow. Just WOW. First off, Vic and TJ are knowledgeable, kind, funny and simply a delight to share the morning with. My Hubby and I own a small apt here on Oahu and visit for extended periods 2-3 times a year. We learned more about local food, the markets, Asian favorites and local history in a few hours with these guys than we have in all the other tours we have taken over the years combined. We tried foods we had seen or read about but never tried! And the portions? We won’t be needing to eat again today! lol! This is not a “here’s your toothpick and a microscopic taste”, these are healthy portions of delicious local favorites. And “off the beaten path” is correct! Even after all the years we have visited this beautiful island we had never discovered any of these spots. This tour is worth every penny .you will create memories to last a lifetime and I bet you’ll learn a few things and taste some new things that you’ll soon be craving back home! We had a blast!! TJ and Victor, our tour guides, were exceptional at communicating and navigating Chinatown. The food was plentiful and adventuresome. It was a Chinese, Korean, Philippine, Hawaiian and Japanese smorgasbord. We were given so much food that most of us took home food because we could not eat it all! The walk wasn't hard and all on even pavement. If you are food- curious and like having a good time this is the tour for you.

The tour was very informative and fulfilling! Our tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly. We loved learning about the history of china town and it's unfortunate that younger generations don't give it a chance. I'm not a huge raw fish eater, but that was before I ate the freshest fish I've ever had, which was on this tour. If you're looking for history, fresh foods, and a good time I highly recommend this tour.

This was one of the most fun food tours I’ve done! Walking through Chinatown was super cool, the food we had was awesome, and the explanations superb. Taking home leftovers was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the foods that we had. strongly recommend not eating before you go on this tour as the amount of food is incredible!
