Itinerary

Your day begins with an early-morning pickup from your Honolulu hotel.

Make your first stop at the Halona Blowhole to watch it spout ocean spray high into the air.

Next, visit Nu'uanu Pali for one of Oahu’s most spectacular views of the Koolau Mountains and the windward coast. Learn about the role this spot played in Hawaiian history.

Byodo-In Temple is your next destination. There’s time to wander around the temple, see the koi fish-filled ponds, and ring the *bon-sho* (sacred bell) for happiness and longevity.

Tropical Farms Macadamia Nut Farm is next. Here you can sample coffee and macadamia nuts before heading to the North Shore.

You have time in the North Shore town of Haleiwa to grab lunch and do some shopping.

Your final stop is the Dole Plantation to tour the varieties of pineapples, shop, and try its famed Dole soft serve.

Your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel.

Need more view point then shopping, people spend money to see island

You guys have say 6 to 9 peopleYou guys need to add 2 more stope to see view it was beautiful view and their is space for bus stop but he did not stop bus need to stop more for view then shop Marlo is very informative guy but he talk person like where he born , how his father passed away , sorry to here that but no tourist wants to here that he hold more time in but to talk then spending more time on view point and it’s not 9 hour tour could be less

I would have liked more stops for photos. We blew by some good points of interest. It seemed all the stops were a series of gift shops. The tour was on a huge bus, not small group. Lola was a very good guide.

The drivers might be amazing, but the office was somewhat lacking, they didn’t care to check about the weather and more than half if not all the things I wanted to experience were closed, they can not control weather but if you know that the northern part of the island is having flooding problems, and there is a Kona Storm, you should cancel, I checked the weather before traveling to the island, but rainy (what the app said) does not equal a storm and they should care enough to adapt, and cancel instead of trying and seeing if we don’t complain about the cancellation. I wrote to them and got no answer.

Half stops closed . They should have canceled it . Tried to contact and they wouldn’t answer . I was told the boss never cancels but that’s poor customer service . you pay to see places you don’t get to see . very disappointed

Interesting drive around the island to get some perspective of the area and its history. Our driver, Lola, was quite good and explained a great deal about Oahu and Hawaiian history, culture, language and current affairs.

Visitor totally messed up the pick up time. The ticket said 6:30am and the bus had us for a pickup at 7:10am. We were there early, so we were freaking out, and a course you couldn’t reach Viator. I will never book through you guys again.

We went with Tony!! He was super nice, extremely knowledgeable and gave tons of insider tips & tricks!! It was perfect to see the parts of the island we wouldn’t have had a chance to without a car. Would highly recommend for relaxing, yet engaging day!!

Rough start, Extremely long day but glad we did it

The experience was off to a rough start. We were sent a message with the address and start time. It was dark at the the time and we went to the address given. We did not see anything or anybody so we called the tour company. We were told the actual pick up point was one street back (so it was in the back of the location.) I later found this information buried in another email. So read every last word. At this point we had 8 minutes til pick up time. We rushed to get to the rear of the building, in the rain, just to sit for 45 minutes while other buses picked up their riders. Everyone, even riders on other tour buses were just as confused as us. This pickup information is something all of them need to work on. It would be nice to know the pick up point is in the rear, there are several tour lines picking up in the same spot, it may be a few minutes before your bus gets there, and they will call your name before they leave. All of these things would clear up confusion and ease the anxiety of not being at the right place at the right time. We finally got on the tour and it lasted all 9 hours. Our guide Lola was very knowledgeable of local history, wildlife, plants and trees. It seemed like the tour lasted forever, but we saw more of the island in one day than we ever would have on our own. So it was long and tiring but I’m glad we did it. We wish they would have made at least one beach stop. We had scenic beach stops but none where we could put toes in the sand.

The tour itself was a 5 star. It was the organization of the tour that put it down to 4 stars. Our tour guide Lola was awesome. Funny and very helpful and informative. The organization problem I had was after choosing a pick up place all my communications were of that address and hotel, along with a 0630 pick up time. No specifics as to exactly where. We showed up at the main entrance of the hotel pick up address at 0625 which in my opinion is not an unreasonable expectation with no other specific place mentioned. We waited until 0635 then asked the hotel concierge and they said the tour pick up is in the back of the hotel under a green awning. We went back immediately and waited. At 0645 we called the contact number for the tour which was no help because apparently it was just the front desk. At 0705 we were sure we missed the bus and were about to leave. I sent a message to the operator about what had happened as the bus arrived. The reply explained that I was to get updated specifics on times of each pick up location. A copy of a communication was sent saying our pick up time was 0705 but I never received that communication when I looked back. All communication I had said the hotel name and address and time of 0630. Everything ended being fine in the end and like I said, if the communication was better it would have been 5 stars hands down. Lola was awesome! Another note: these people work hard for us to make our vacations awesome, don’t book these, have these people bust their butts all day with us, show us a great time and then give them no appreciation tip at the end. If you can afford the tour you can afford to pony up a little extra $$ for their hard work. People give $1 for a coffee tip-every day! Don’t be cheap!

Marlon was an amazing guide and he kept you engaged thru the entire tour. I would recommend taking this tour at the beginning of your trip so you can see where you want to spend more time later in tour trip. We discovered so many other places we wanted to visit.

It’s not nine hours, maybe eight, but it starts early in the morning. It takes a while to pick up everyone. Then you drive by Diamond head and it begins. I enjoyed the tour.
