The boat is very nice. The staff are fantastic. The sunset was stunning. I would highly recommend. They even had a young lady perform a few hula dances. She was very good. Food was good. Open bar was fun.

Not relaxing at all.. We had to go up and down steep stairs to get food and drinks instead of being served like past dinner cruises here in Maui. The tables were to far to the eat properly so everyone was holding there plates on their laps. Do better!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
I question if you were actually on our boat or confusing us for another. There are plenty of tables both upstairs and downstairs on our vessels. In addition to food and bar service downstairs on our vessels, we have servers who provide table side service to our guests on both decks. Not even sure what you mean by tables are too far.

Such a great experience! Staff were all friendly and helpful. Music and dancing enjoyable and the food was good! We even got to see whales, which was unexpected given this was April 18 and past whale season. It’s quite windy especially as you head out. Best seats are those with the trays and cup holders in front of you- hard to hold onto your cup and eat at the same time. We all 3 had a lovely time and it was a great start to our vacation! Thank you!

So happy you had a special evening on the ocean aboard our flagship, Pride of Maui. It truly is a great experience to enjoy delicious food, an open premium bar, and live Hawaiian music and hula aboard our spacious and stable catamaran, with a beautiful sunset and views of the majestic coast.
Michael_M, Apr 2026
Food, drinks, staff & boat all top notch. Hula performance was excellent as well as music.
We were lucky enough to see whales as well!
Response from Host, Apr 2026
So glad you enjoyed and shared the many reasons you had a great time on the Maui Sunset Dinner Cruise with live Hawaiian music and hula, aboard our flagship, Pride of Maui.

Great service & attention was given throughout the experience. The crew was very friendly & the captain was extremely knowledgeable

Thank You for joining us aboard our Maui Sunset Dinner Hawaiian Hula Experience, and for taking the time to share your experience.

The cruise itself and food were amazing. Captain and staff both friendly, professional, and personal. Music was just okay but the views and ride made it worth every penny.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Aloha,
Thank you for sharing your 5-star experience aboard our Maui Sunset Dinner and Hawaiian Hula Cruise. I am glad you recognized the value and felt it was worth every penny.

Weather of course plays a big role in order to see any kind of sunset, and unfortunately we had a rainy day. However, we were able to see some whales still hanging around right after the whale watching season was done. The food was as expected. Good, but not impressed. The live music was nice as well, and the poor hula girl who had to dance with the boat bobbing up and down with the ocean swells was a champ. My biggest problem with the the tour is we didn't cruise anywhere. The main point of taking this excursion for our family was to get out on the water and see Maui from a different point of view. We just left the harbor, went straight towards Molokini for a few miles, idled for a while then slowly turned back towards the marina and crawled back in. Much of the time we were going so slowly that the exhaust fumes would build up on the bow and lower deck, making us feel nauseous. Probably would have been better on a clear day.

We were looking forward to a nice Sunset dinner cruise. We did not go to the Molokini Crater and we didn't get our Hula dancers. Kind of disappointing. Wish we would have known these were not the case. We would have booked another cruise then.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
We apologize that our dancer was unable to attend due to a last minute family need. The excursion that takes you to Molokini Crater is the Morning Snorkel Cruise. None of the boats, including ours, go all the way out to Molokini Crater on a sunset cruise.
Lori_M, Mar 2026
Cruise was 2 hours with food and entertainment. Food was very good. Unlimited drinks. Hula show was minimal but good. The night we went was cloudy so missed the sunset part of the cruise.

This was our second sunset tour visiting Hawaii, the first one was amazing with perfect weather. This second one was not a good experience, it poured the whole time. Staying on the first floor would’ve been just fine if it was equipped properly for all of us to have a table. However, this boat is not equipped to hold everyone on the first floor and it was very crowded since no one could sit up top due to the storm. Before we left there was very loud and clear thunder, and the heavy rain only got worse. It was extremely disappointing, I understand the weather is not their fault but they should’ve reschedule/reimburse our money because it was not a fun experience at all standing for two hours and searching for an open surface to be able to eat dinner.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Aloha,
Sorry that we had stormy conditions on the evening you joined us. Our vessel is certified for 149 guests , though we operate at half her Coast Guard capacity so you have plenty of space. Not being to access the upper deck due to the weather, is for your safety, and we do realize that remaining in the main cabin was a disappointment. In these conditions we do offer our guests the opportunity to reschedule.
Yolanda_D, Feb 2026
This was awesome. I would recommend. It was rainy so there was no sunset to see. So we basically did whale watching, which did not disappoint ( we saw atleast 8 whales if not more. The crew and the captain were great. 5 Stars!!!
TerriC, Feb 2026
Loved this excursion! The crew, bartenders, captain and musician were all wonderful. Yummy food, great guitarist and hula dancer and they didn’t skimp on the drinks. Beautiful views (but it does get windy!). Traffic will be worse than you think or what your gps says so give yourself extra time. Bring cash for tips!
Michelle_H, Feb 2026
Excellent cruise! Wonderful staff, delicious food, and yummy, premium cocktails! Even saw a few whales 🐳 Highly recommend!
J_S, Feb 2026
It was canceled due to weather so really can't say good or bad. I would have loved to experience and they asked if we would like to reschedule our refund but I had to get the refund due to not another day to do it
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Aloha,
It would sure be nice if guests would not post a review if the excursion is cancelled due to stormy weather. Or, perhaps a 5-star is appropriate for the fact that your safety is our number one priority! After all, we are in business in part to collect revenue, and the fact that we choose safety and guest comfort over revenue is important when considering who you should book with.
Roger_V, Feb 2026
Ridiculous company that does not value customer service. We were delayed on getting to the place due to a massive traffic jam but still arrived 3 MINUTES after the scheduled time for the tour. They already left and we couldn't do the tour. I called Viator on the way to the place to contact the company to let them know that I would be a couple of minutes late and they were not able to reach anyone. So I asked Viator to help me reschedule the tour for the next available date which is 2 days later and they got no response again. I called the company myself to reschedule and they said they would call me back and never did. I once again ask Viator for help and they tell me that the company refused my refund request. I tell them that I never asked for a refund because I still wanted to do the tour and just wanted to reschedule. Viator responds back that after review, the final decision is that they cannot refund or reschedule or give a credit. So as a faithful customer for years that travels at least 4 times a year and uses Viator for excursions, they couldn't do ANYTHING to solve the problem. They can care less about their customers. So stay away from using them and stay away from booking this tour with this boating company as well because they were also no help and its nearly impossible to even get in contact with anyone there. There are many other companies to book through that are better and actually care about customer service.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
We are a family business that has been operating for over 30 years, with an excellent reputation. Of course we would reschedule you in a case such as this, and Viator would have allowed you to do the same. Our policy while checking in guests at the harbor, is to call our guests who have not yet arrived, 10 minutes before departure, to see if you are close by, so we know to wait for you. I say reasonably close because we have no problem holding the boat for guests who are running a few minutes late. There are also times in heavy traffic situations if there’s been an accident on the road or other delay when many of our customers are delayed and we will hold the boat even longer. We attempted to reach you at 4:45 and were unsuccessful. After Rachelle spoke to you the following morning, when our office opened at 8:30 AM, she explained that since you booked through a third party (Viator in this case), we had to reach out to them, to reschedule you. When our reservations team spoke to Viator, they said that you emailed them requesting to cancel the tour for a full refund, and that they would follow up with you.

Crew was kind and hardworking. Food was delicious. Good drinks. Captain went out of his way to stop and watch the whales! We got to see 3 whales doing tail splashing together!
Response from Host, Feb 2026
So happy you had such a nice evening with us aboard our Maui Sunset Dinner Cruise with live Hawaiian slack key music and hula. Food is delicious because it is freshly prepared in our family owned commercial kitchen just minutes from the harbor. It is quite amazing to experience the wonderful humpback whales this time of the year, offshore as the sun sets, aboard our yachts enjoying delicious food, craft cocktails, nice wines, and micro brewed beers while enjoying live Hawaiian entertainment.
Michael_O, Feb 2026
This is a great late afternoon excursion. We'll worth the price and during whale watching season added immense pleasure to the trip.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Aloha,
Thank you for joining us on our Maui Sunset Dinner Cruise with whale watching and live Hawaiian slack key and hula. Glad you had an awesome experience.
Connie_L, Feb 2026
A wonderful experience! So many whales too see in January. Food was great and the open bar was amazing.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
So happy you had a wonderful experience aboard our Maui Sunset Dinner Cruise. Yes, the whales here on Maui are magnificent, and especially abundant in January and February.
Gregory_E, Jan 2026
All was very nice except the directions to the pier were missed by us so we needed to call Viator in New York for help and that took so long we ended up asking at another pier where to go :(
Response from Host, Feb 2026
We suggest you carefully read your reservation confirmation before heading out to the harbor. There are a lot of important details. including where to park and meet the boat. Glad you had a great day just the same.
elainechristine29, Jan 2026
This sunset cruise was fantastic! Saw lots of whales & the crew worked hard to make it a great experience.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
We love it when we hear that our Maui Sunset Dinner Cruise with live Hawaiian music and hula, was the highlight of your vacation. Thank you for sharing.
Joan_K, Jan 2026
Wonderful staff, but not worth the price. Average food and drinks at a premium price. Inadequate seating.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Fortunately, thousands of other guests see the value of our Maui Sunset Sunset Dinner Cruise, with live Hawaiian slack key music, and hula. Our food is freshly prepared in our own kitchen. Chef Tania's fall off the bone baby back ribs, paired with Asian citron chicken, served alongside coconut infused roasted potatoes, and oven roasted vegetables, make for a bountiful and delicious meal. Guests also love our lilikoi and mango cheesecake for dessert. We provide a fully stocked open bar, with a variety of recognized labels, including Makers Mark bourbon, Ocean Vodka, Crown Royal, Chivas Regal scotch, Teremana tequila, and Bacardi rums. We serve Sauvignon blanc from New Zealand and chardonnay from Napa. Our red zin is from Lodi County, and cabernet from Central Valley. We also serve ice-cold micro brewed Maui Brewery beers, including golden ale, IPA, and lager. Pride of Maui has plenty of seating and is Coast Guard certified for 149 passengers, though we operate at just 60% of our Coast Guard capacity. We provide a delicious and bountiful dinner, with dessert, a premium open and fully stocked bar, live Hawaiian slack key music, and hula dancing, aboard a spacious and stable power catamaran, for a 2-hour sunset dinner cruise, for what you'd expect to pay at most local restaurants, with no live entertainment, views of the sunset, where you pay extra for your cocktails.

Great experience excellent food whale watching and entertainment. Crew was 5 star and I would highly recommend it for a relaxing evening.
Gayle_J, Jan 2026
It was definitely not a sit down dining experience, but the staff was amazing and so were the drinks!.
Jamie_T, Jan 2026
We saw lots of whales. They had good cheese crackers dinner and dessert. Free drinks and free open bar.
Dave_T, Jan 2026
We had a wonderful time enjoying drinks and music onboard while watching whales and then a great rib and chicken dinner with roasted veggies… all perfectly cooked.
Thank you for the great time.
Danielle_H, Jan 2026
The staff was absolutely wonderful! This was by far the best service we’ve had out of all our excursions this trip. Everyone was so nice and the fact that they don’t book the entire boat made for a stress free evening where we were able to move about the boat without getting in other guests way or waiting in line too long. Would highly recommend this activity
Chris_M, Jan 2026
Had a great time. The crew was awesome. The boat is very nice and clean. Food, drinks and music were great. Also saw a few whales.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
We are glad that you had such a great evening on the ocean and enjoyed the food, cocktails, and live Hawaiian music and hula show. Thank you for the kind words you shared about our amazing team. They are the best of the best! And yes, the crew do take very good care of our boats and yachts.
Jerialea_K, Jan 2026
Food was good. We appreciated the captain steering us toward the whales. The music guy and hula gal did great. (The background for her dancing could have been better, maybe off to the side. Drinks need improvement too). We would recommend this to anyone…
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Mahalo for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed the food, entertainment and of course the majestic humpback whales, that are so abundant on Maui during whale season.
Ben_M, Jan 2026
Top notch customer service! Pride of Maui was a great guide and took care of everyone onboard. Would def book again
Response from Host, Jan 2026

A beautiful and fun 2 hour experience.
Super friendly staff and we were surprised how good the food and drinks were. I mean we’re on a boat after all :)
Response from Host, Jan 2026
I am the luckiest boss in the business to have such an amazing and guest service oriented crew. The food we serve is prepared with care in our own commercial kitchen located minutes from the harbor. I will let chef know you loved your dinner.
