We loved the sunset part of this adventure and we did get to see a mama whale and baby. In the beginning of the cruise, they came out and poured everyone a glass of juice, but skipped a handful of people. We had to ask the crew member for ours, he said he would have to go make more. What we were not impressed with was the quality of the appetizers. Our entire family was not impressed with the food. What a waste after a couple of bites it all got thrown away. Suggestion: charge less for the cruise and don’t offer the food it was too windy and rough water to eat anyway.

This was definitely one of the best whale watching experiences we have done. It was so chill and the staff was amazing. They were so knowledgeable and kind. You can tell they really love what they do! We saw tons of whales breaching and it was such an amazing experience. They served amazing appetizers and drinks. We were able to get up and walk around the boat so you weren’t stuck in one spot all night. I highly recommend this boat crew if you are thinking of doing a sunset cruise it was so fun.

Beware, as others have said, alcohol is advertised but not served on this boat. When we pointed this out to Viator they told us to talk to the operator. When we talked to the operator they told us it was Viator that was “falsely adverting”, alcohol had not been available since November and it was not their fault. Either way, hours of waiting on hold and no refund. Beware!

Our sunset cruise turned into an unforgettable adventure. It was windy out there, but the crew managed to keep their feet on the deck, serve the delicious appetizers, answer all the questions the kids had and guarantee us a great sunset experience. We even saw some whales. I would highly recommend this sunset cruise for kids and adults alike.

Falsely advertised that there is ‘entertainment’ on the boat, and that adults would be served up to three cocktails/beer or wine, they had no liquor license and only served POG juice. There was zero entertainment. The food was ok but the first appetizer (which they advertise there is unlimited of) was given only one for every two people which was very strange.

This was our second year taking this sunset cruise with our two kids. The crew is exceptionally kind. The boat is clean and comfortable. The sunset views are amazing. Great cruise for kids. Plus you are supporting a good cause.

We really enjoyed our sunset sail. Our all female crew were fun and hard working (I had no idea of the physical exertion required in hoisting the sail). The food was really good and my beer was cold. But the real attraction was nature itself. Being in the ocean watching the sunset was simply amazing.

Had a delightful sunset cruise recently. The water was calm, sailing was smooth, and the crew was attentive. The drinks were fantastic, and the Hawaiian music set a perfect vibe. While the appetizers were just okay, the overall experience was very enjoyable. No whales spotted due to time of year, and sunset was blocked by clouds, but plenty of room on the boat and a delightful crew. Would recommend for a relaxing evening on the water. Attended with 2 other couples. Oly recommendations would be for the crew to tell us a bit about the area or sights -- not too heavy but a little detail would have been nice.

The ocean was quite rough and at one point cups, mugs and plates went flying, luckily no one was hurt. The hot food was cold and not very appetising. Crew were lovely

Beautiful night for a sunset cruise. Great cocktails! The captain & staff were super friendly. We didn’t see any whales but it was end is season for them so we knew that may be the case. We got amazing sunset pictures!

The cruise was nice; however we had no idea we had to hike up to the mall and wait for an hour before our boat went out. We were told to be there early and then it took forever. Then we had to walk quit a ways to get to the boat. Once there, after checking in, having my hand stamped I was told they couldn’t find our names. Really??
We sat down and about 10 mins later the two deck folks came and just about smothered us so they could get the masts going. All the time telling us were were ok. We finally moved elsewhere.
The food was sub-par, not a variety, the drinks.. not the best.
If we hadn’t met up with some wonderful people I would have demanded a refund.
I do NOT recommend this cocktail sail. It it not worth the money and managed very poorly.

Oh my gosh, what a great time we all had! Beautiful boat, Dan & Molly were so gracious. Informative, funny, loved seeing the whales. But most of all, loved hearing the whales on the underwater hydrophone. Food, drinks all great. Thank you for an enjoyable afternoon sunset cruise.

Despite it being an overcast evening and not being able to see the sunset we saw so many whales. The crew was very knowledgeable about the whales and did a great job narrating while chasing them around the bay.
The drinks were plentiful. The appetizers were Ok. The pot stickers and ahi on toast were made up in the morning so by evening the pot stickers were tough and the toast was soggy.
Make sure to bring a coat. With a stiff breeze it was cool on the water.

This sail was amazing, we saw so many whales jumping near the boat. Drinks and food were on point and the staff was excellent and knowledgeable. It was definitely one of the best things to do in Maui. Even though it's advertised as a sunset sail and not a whale seeing tour, this is the tour to go on if you want to see the whales. (and dolphins)
