Park at Polo Beach parking and access Polo Beach through the park. Once you see the beach look to the north and go to the yellow canoe with the red sail. We have a lockbox on the beach for any items with you that you don't want to take on the canoe with us (car keys, wallets, laptops, etc).

Really unique Maui experience

Our family of 4 went out with Sage. He was really knowledgeable and very good at handling the boat. Snorkeling was excellent and we saw 2 turtles. Parking at Polo Beach was easy and you can do an outdoor shower and change clothes afterwards. Highly recommend!

This trip exceeded expectations. Saje is a trove of knowledge and made us feel comfortable. Great snorkeling with many different types of beautiful fish. My husband and I were lucky, and we even saw some turtles.

Think twice before booking small private canoe

Did not happen. Operator cancelled an hour before activity due to strong waves. Disadvantage of small private canoe versus large vessels. Now waiting for refund from either operator, booking company or payment processor.

Great first time snorkeling experience, and in the ocean. Encountered a sea turtle within 10 minutes! Should have brought an underwater GoPro Camera. Sage and Sam were great hosts. My wife doesn't swim, but really enjoyed herself even though she didn't get into the water. At first you are wondering, where are we going? Just relax. Sage knows what he is doing. Best to go early when the wind is calm. The variation in sea depth made things interesting also. Thanks Sage and Sam for a great experience.

I was expecting to go out early at 9am when it was calm. The tour was pushed back till 10am and then canceled 45m prior to us arriving due to the weather. Many other charter companies were going out and we saw multiple groups of snorkelers. Not sure what the real reason we didn't go out was but I won't be booking this one again.

Sorry we couldn’t go out. You are talking about big motor boats that leave from Maalaea Harbor and Kihei boat ramp. We are a 32 ft canoe that launches off the beach through the shorebreak. A high surf advisory for south facing shores AND small craft advisory for Maalaea Bay were literally posted the day of your tour and are still both in effect two days later. I would post a screenshot of the national weather service page if you don’t believe me and to show everyone but it won’t let me. We vowed when we started these tours 16 years ago that we would never let money cloud our judgement when it came to safety and that morning was no exception.

If you prefer a more low key outing to enjoy the waves and see lots of marine life, this is the one. The canoe is as advertised in the photo. Great for a single family, even with smaller kids. Ours were 6 and 3 and had a blast. Sage and Kira were knowledgeable, personable, and all around great hosts for this tour. And 2 hours felt like the perfect amount of time to explore and continue on with the day. Plus they gave us tips about where our next adventure should be! I'd recommend this to anyone who feels uncomfortable with the idea of a boat full of people, but still wants the snorkeling experience. Thanks a lot y'all.

Vine’s Hawaiian lore and singing were amazing. Turtles and snorkeling was great too! Sailing on the canoe and being in a quiet setting on the water was so peaceful.

Our family had a great time. The sailing was great and Sage, the owner was very cool and informative. Unfortunately we did not get to go snorkeling because of the wind that was coming so I think next time I would suggest going snorkeling right in the beginning. But all in all, it was a wonderful experience.
