Meet your group and guide in central Lisbon and board your minivan for the scenic journey through the mountains up to Sintra. You’ll have 30 minutes free time to explore this atmospheric town before you head to the extraordinary Quinta da Regaleira.
Spend 1.5 hours experiencing this 10-acre (4-hectare) fantasyland with your guide, including the much-Instagrammed Initiation Wells.
Your next stop is the Pena National Palace, with its stunning gardens. The Pena Park ticket is included, allowing you to explore this romantic fantasy at your own pace.
Skip the public transit hassles and hop back on the minibus for the journey to continental Europe’s westernmost point, rugged Cabo da Roca. Stretch your legs and take some pictures, then head to the beautiful beach town of Cascais. You have 30 minutes to soak up the atmosphere before you return to central Lisbon.

- If you choose the transport-only option or only the ticket to Pena Palace, we cannot guarantee entry to Quinta da Regaleira on the day of the tour. Tickets may sell out quickly, especially during peak season.
- Palace closures may occasionally occur due to weather alerts or other force majeure circumstances. In such cases, an alternative route will be offered.
- Depending on entry time slots at Pena Palace, the order of the itinerary may be adjusted on the day.
- The tour may be conducted in a van or a minibus, depending on the group size.

Driver was 30 minutes late. He then rushed us through the first two stops on the tour, because we would not make it to the timed entry.

Excellent trip. Andre was a great guide - very nice, helpful and attentive. The only delta was not having tickets to enter in Pena Palace, but I understand there were external issues preventing this to happen.

Tomas showed our small group a lovely day exploring two memorable locations on the east coast of Portugal and Sintra. Our thoughtful guide did an excellent job navigating a busy, popular tourist destination (Pena palace) and helping us find delicious lunch places as well. We loved Quinta da Regaleira-not to be missed!

We had an exceptional guide, Andre from Boost Portugal. We were a small group, my wife and I, and a single traveler from
Spain. He was fluent in both English and Spanish and was very knowledgeable of the sites we visited. Also, used our time together very effectively. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our day in Sintra and trip to Cascais. However, it was a very long day. It was enjoyable to be with other travelers and our guide did a fine job of sharing the history of what we were seeing. Know that there is a lot of walking and climbing stairs on this tour. Enjoyed having 90 minutes on our own in Sintra to explore and have lunch.

Be prepared to spend time riding in the car to reach the different points of interest. Wear comfortable shoes as there is a fair amount of walking.

All of the sites were amazing but would recommend getting admission to the Peña Palace otherwise you just see the exterior. Carlos was a great guide, informative and knowledgeable.

Susannah took us on a journey through the magical sites outside of Lisbon, as it was a small tour we got to enjoy the drive in between sights in a smaller van (vs a large bus).

Daniel was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Pena Palace was breathtakingly beautiful. Quinta de Regelaria was spooky and enchanting. Unfortunately, we hit bad weather at Cabo do Roca but it was still great. Same for Cascais.

My daughter and I really had a great time in this tour. Leo was very knowledgeable about Sintra, Pena Palace, Regaleira, Cabo Roca and Cascais and about so many things. We enjoyed the stories as well as the pastries. The lunch in Cascais in Tasca da Vila he recommended is wonderful. The food is simply great. This tour and the tour guide are highly recommended.

Guide was not good. Did not get admissions to the castles that were paid for. I am not sure what happened. But apparently the guy decided to pocket that money and not take us to the tours that we paid for. This was very disappointing. We have complained and we want our money back.

The Guides are well versed on Portugal's history and the details about the palaces. Safe air conditioned vans transported us to Sinta, Boca do Roca, Cascais, and back to Lisbon. Beautiful views everywhere.

Very disappointed in both Cool Tours and Viator/TripAdvisor. I have booked many tours over the years with these companies. This tour was the worst started with tour being late by 40-50 mins due to their miss communication. Then someone on the bus (18 seater) was physically sick. Had to get off bus at 1st light and throw up ! 2 of my group.of 8 had to leave the tour at this point due to health concerns with the.person so sick. The sick person volunteered to leave the tour but tour guide said no it was okay. So my 2 people had to lose out. Then the tour was late so we had to rush through places. The sick person got sicker and had to leave the tour at the 1st stop. The tour guy didnt have a clue about what we were seeing the bus driver had to tell him. To make matters worse I was unable to get a refund for the 2 people that had to leave due to sick person being let back on the bus. Buyer beware for these tours!.

Difficult to find guide at the meet up point, we arrived at 745 AM, meet up was at 8 AM, guide called at 8:10 they were about 10 meters to the right of us. Weather was foggy at Pena castle so we couldn't see the view not offered the tour of inside the castle which we would have liked to see. 15 minute walk to pick up point however 30 minute walk at the drop off. We weren't offered pick up and drop off service however my colleague two days before us, which I referred for the tour. Driver clipped a pedestrian with the mirror of the van (scary!) Very disappointed.
