Diogo was excellent! He was very knowledgeable and courteous. I wasn’t planning on going to Sinatra but the wife did; am happy I did though. A 4-hour tour is all you need to the basics of Sintra. Highly recommend his tour.

Not what we paid for

I want to start off by saying that the two guides were incredibly kind and polite and knowledgeable. They were great! Beyond that, we were disappointed. There was no wifi available to us on the bus, we were not offered any water. It was my fault for providing the incorrect pick up address and I do not at all blame the company for the delay in start time. We also said that we were okay not going in the palace as we really just wanted to be able to photograph the scenery and the outside/views. We drove there and stood down below the palace and took some photos and then they asked if we wanted to return to Lisbon or they could drop us off at Cascaís and we could take the train back. We thought we were going to go through the town of Sintra and explore the town as per the description and our main goal. We basically paid only for a ride there, a visit up to the outside entrance of the Peña palace, and then we ate our own dinner in Cascaís and had to book our hour-long uber ride home. They only had to do a one-way trip and got to end at home in Cascaís where they lived. It is disappointing that we did not get what we paid for. But the guides were great.

Providing the wrong adress caused a lot of wasted time, almost 1 hour and Pena Palace has scheduled hours so the entrance to the main buiding was lost, the most important part of the tour. the guide did is best trying to give the tour with the time that he had left, and according to this statement, was great so.. Thank you for helping us improving our services greetings

Our tour guide was nearly an hour late, which cut our tour significantly short. He was also booked for a second tour at 1:45, so he couldn’t make up for the lost time. We did not get to see or spend time in the village.

We had a fabulous tour with Joaquim- especially seeing we booked last minute. He was informative, very personable, gave us a break to eat the traditional Sintra pastry. He accommodated the weather with heavy fog limiting our experience and offered to drive us back via Cascai which was fantastic- both the explanations throughout the Moor Castle, Pena Palace and through Cascai. Even though it was difficult with so many international tourists, Joaquim, steered us through with clear and interesting stories. We had a fabulous tour

My husband and I did the half day Pena Palace, Sintra, and Cabo de Roca tour and we absolutely LOVED it! We wanted to do a half day tour only because we only had a few days in Lisbon and wanted to be able to do other site seeing later in the afternoon. Our guide was Antonio and he was amazing! He was prompt, picked us up on time and gave us an a great perspective on living in Portugal as a local. He explained a lot about the nature and geography of Portugal and also pointed out other important palaces, homes in the town. He was very knowledgeable and taught us quite a bit about Portugal. We even had a few minutes to stop in down town Sintra to buy some souvenirs. We enjoyed the one-on-one nature of the tour, ease of communication with Antonio and his partner Luis. This was a very memorable part of our trip and we are so appreciative of Antonio and his team for allowing us the opportunity to join the tour.

Great short tour

This is a short tour with no time to visit the palace but gives you a views of the palace a walk around Sintra village and stops along the coast back to Lisbon. commentary, history and places of interest was excellent from Louis. Thank - you Jo - Anne

A half day filled with discoveries and excellent views

A very good tour for a first time in Sintra, Cascais and the surrondings areas. Very interesting tour with historical, cultural and geographical facts shared by Luis. We saw Castelo dos Mauros and Pena Palace from a great point. We decided to visit Quinta da Regaleira by ourselves, while the guide was waiting for us, it took us 1h30. But it is really important to bear in mind that in visiting one of the palaces, because the tour lasts around 4 hours, you will have to skip some parts of the tour to respect the tour duration. We were not really aware of this but Luis was understanding and flexible to make us do exceptionnally the other stops, planned in the tour, but a little bit condensed. Warning : Cabo da Roca is very windy (we were there at the end of the afternoon).

Decepcionado con este tour. El guía no hablaba buen español, tenía poco conocimiento del pena palace. La microbus que nos transportó no le abrían las ventanas, y en general se encontraba en mal estado. Muchos deoa guía qué utiliza Viator son personas sin formación como guías turísticos, usualmente estudiantes universitarios.

La furgoneta tiene aire acondicionado. También contamos con guías de 50 y 60 años, no es su edad la que califica su desempeño. Gracias por tu reseña y esperamos que vuelva a viajar con nosotros.
