The tour of Pena Palace and the old town of Sintra was magnificent! Hugo was a fabulous guide. We enjoyed this experience very much. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Lisbon.
A great time spent out at Sintra, exploring the town and the palaces. Our guide Olcay was very knowledgeable and friendly - a great half day activity!
It was a great tour with beautiful sites, but please wear comfortable shoes because there will be a lot of walking and climbing
Steep hills to walk. Great guide. If you buy the port with chocolate it will melt. Enjoy the day. Good cardio
We were very happy to have a knowledgeable guide who was able to give us detailed stories and history of the gardens, the palace and the town of Sintra. The small group experience was exceptional.

Hugo was a wonderful guide. He was very informative, knowledgeable, and friendly. He has a great sense of humor and we enjoyed his ‘style’. The description said steep hills and stairs…. They weren’t kidding! Highly recommend this tour and hopefully you get Hugo as a guide!

The tour to Sintra was amazing! Hugo was very knowledgeable and had a great personality! My husband and I had a wonderful time learning about the local history and seeing all of the beautiful architecture and gardens. 10/10!

The amount of uphill walking was really tiring. We did have the option of the shuttle though so no one to blame.

This was a very interesting and efficient way to see and learn about Sintra and the Pena Palace. Our guide was great and shared so much interesting information about the area and its history. We didn’t go into the rooms of the palace, which requires standing in long lines, and we heard from others that it wasn’t worth the wait. The sights the outside are amazing and the views from the top are breathtaking.

Our guide Pedro was incredible. Very personable and knowledgeable! He was well organized and efficient, also knew some shortcuts when traffic got a bit jammed up to keep us on track. Perfect amount of time to see the Sintra and Pena Palace. There are so many tours to book, some longer and some cheaper but many are large groups so look at the fine print. We were a group of 8 and this was a nice size to travel with. We had more than enough time to look through Sintra and at Pena Palace, some guided and then some free time. Highly recommended!!

The Palace is very busy and queues can form quickly. We had 30 minutes free time to explore. Oh my, are we glad we didn’t have to walk up that steep hill and all those steps.
But once you get up to the Palace it is totally worth it. The views over the surrounding countryside is just awesome.
Omar was an excellent tour guide though. Very knowledgeable and thoughtful to his travellers questions.

Omer was a knowledgeable and personable tour guide - he had so much info about Sintra and Pena Palace. I did the half day trip with work colleagues which was perfect for me, I like the mix of guided tour and free time so I could do the things I was most interested in, including a little shopping. Omer also made sure we took the best pictures too!

A great experience with an expert guide to show you everything you need to know. The meeting point was near our hotel. The SUV car was very comfortable. The guide was very nice with us and explained everything with a lot of knowledge.

Our guide was very good. This tour was provided in a van and there were only four passengers in our group so transportation was very comfortable. The walk up the hill to the palace was a bit of a challenge for me but the guide was encouraging and patient and told me to take my time. The palace was amazing and the views were also spectacular. Worth the walk up. Sintra was a nice village with some lovely artisan shops and opportunities for food and drink.

It was a great private tour. Only 8 people in a nice van. Our tour guide Hugo was very knowledgeable of all historic facts. He spoke very good English. He was a delight.

Great day exploring Pena Palace with Jose. The palace is amazing as was the walk up through the gardens leading to the palace. Jose certainly made the trip with his excellent knowledge of Portugues history, and he was a lot of fun. Although very crowded, Jose was able to navigate our small group around the palace easily and helped with photos. He obviously enjoys what he does. This trip is certainly worth doing.

Absolutely fantastic! I travel a lot and this is one of the best tours I’ve done yet. Pena Palace was absolutely beautiful, and with the 8:30 tour we arrived before the crowds descended. We were given the option of a bus or walk up, and purchase the option that includes your entrance ticket to make things easier! Next we went to Sintra, with a guided tour via a sample of Ginja and a pastel de nata. We then had around 1.5 hours of free time to explore, or grab lunch. Our tour guide was friendly, attentive, funny and a safe driver. Despite travelling solo I felt very safe and included within our small group. Highly recommend!
