The Portuguese Cooking Class with Beatrix is not to be missed. Bea was well prepared, taught us every step of the way, not only about what we were cooking, but also about the history. Informative and fun. The meal was exquisite! Bea is down to earth and a great chef and teacher. We Highly recommend for every level! Thank you Bea! Maria, Carmen, and Tera will never forget their incredible experience!!!

My son suggested that we do this cooking class. It was a great experience and very fun. The chef Flavio was very nice, welcoming. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and cooking style of the Portugal people (he was from Brazil). We were in a group of 5 including my son and me. The other three guests (family) were great. Very friendly people which made the evening great. After we prepared our meal Flavio ate dinner with us.

This cooking class was amazing from start to finish. Hannia welcomed us with cheese, meat & bread as well as wine and other drinks. Maham explained everything thoroughly and made it a laid back & comfortable experience for all ages. They walked us through prep and cooking steps, and went above and beyond to show us how to use different appliances and how we can cook the meal at home. Lastly, both ladies served us and made us feel at home. I would recommend this cooking class for all ages and levels of experience!!! Can’t say enough good things about it. It was the most memorable part of my stay.

This was a very nice evening. We cooked a traditional Portuguese meal, and everything was delicious. It's a very hands-on experience, great food, great wine, great hosts.
Highly recommend, we would do this cooking class again.

This cooking class was absolutely a blast. Wine and cooking what more could you ask for. Truly was one of our favorite things we did in Portugal. Bruno was so knowledgeable and picked a delightful traditional meal to teach us that we definitely will do at home. You will not be disappointed.

As previously communicated, our classes require a minimum of two participants. At the time of your rebooking, you were the only participant after your friend Kim cancelled. This policy is clearly stated in our reservation details, so guests are aware of this possibility when booking as a single participant. We did our best to offer alternative options, although we understand that none of them suited your plans. In light of this, we proceeded with a full and immediate refund.
While we respect that you may feel disappointed, we are saddened by the review, as we made every effort to handle the situation fairly and transparently.

What a great experience! There were 3 of us in the class, so it was very intimate. The chef, Marcia (?) unsure of the spelling, answered all our questions and provided history behind the dishes.

What a great way to end our time in Portugal! Flavio was a great teacher and chef and this was so much fun for our teenage daughters, my wife, and I. We learned a ton and tried Portuguese food that we wouldn’t have ordinarily tried! 100% recommended!

I felt like the energy was very low and hostile. There were a lot of dishes shown but we did not make. The food we did make was very good but wasn’t too fun of a class.

We enjoyed our experience cooking with a traditional experience with a group of other tourists. Our host was very knowledgeable in Portuguese traditions and foods. It does take some time to prepare and cook the food, so plan to eat a few hours after the cooking experience starts.

We ended up having a private cooking lesson with Bernardo, my husband and 16 year old. It was wonderful--we don't eat pork, and they accomodated with us no problem. We started with a cheese board, drinks, and a 3 course meal (clams, a cod casserole, and poached pears). Bernardo was engaging and fun, and great with our teen. He really is experienced with teaching, super knowledgeable and knows his way around the kitchen. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone as a wonderful way to learn about Portuguese culture.

Bea is literally amongst the best humans. Part of my party arrived a little late and she didn’t make a fuss. We had some food preferences that meant for alternative dishes. Having a charcuterie board to snack on during the experience was great! Fresh bread plus good cheese and meats >> she was engaging and encouraging. Our group ranged in age and skill/comfort/experience. Portion size was a lot for us. Overall, we felt like we were just a family cooking with our cousin whom we hadn’t seen in a while. Excited to get the recipes and make the custard at home or for the holidays.
