I t was very hot the day we were there but there are trees and some shade - fabulous views over Lisbon - cafes there so you can stop for a break. The audio automated guide gets a bit tedious but it is informative

Nice walk around the castle. The audio can be a little too long and it is sometimes a big confusing on where to go.

Smooth and seamless entry, but Google maps mucked up the meeting point. The castle is amazing and it was a wonderful stop on our trip.

This excursion was so majestic to see and experience and learn about the history of it. I also loved all the peacocks hanging around on the grounds of the castle and they were also in the trees. The views from the castle were beautiful and spectacular!! This was a great experience!!

While this is a self guided tour, it was helpful to meet Syed initiallly who help orient us before entering, not to mention no waiting in line for tickets!

The employee at the entry gate didnt understand that we bought tickets and we could skip the line. When I got the tickets to work at the scanner, he had to apologize. He kept telling me that I didnt have valid tickets. Staff should be aware of this outside retailer.

We booked the castle tour for 1100 hrs and received our tickets via WhatsApp the previous evening.
The tickets allowed entry to the castle any time from opening to closing time.
We actually arrived at around 1000hrs when the crowd was quite minimal.
Enjoyed roaming around the castle and it offered some great views of the city.
In hindsight , we could have just turned up on the day but wanted to get all our trips organised before we arrived in Lisbon.
When we left the castle at around noon , the entry queues were getting quite long.
All in all a goid trip.

Amazing visit, do not pay extra to skip the line. There is no line up and this is an Audio guide visit, so you doing it at your own pace.

We got very clear guidelines and tour information from Syed Akber the tour representative. Very easy entry process with the electronic tickets we received. Totally skipped the long lines.

Was super simple to find this experience and book tickets last minute. There are about few websites online that say you can buy tickets to the St. George castle that make buying online a bit chaotic if you can’t read Portuguese, so having this company take care of it made it super simple. I was given the option to meet with a real person tour guide with free audio, but opted to do a self paced tour with no guide. I loved having that option and was given very clear information with pictures! Made it super simple and easy for my family of 7 (with a child) to navigate on our own. Got in with no issue and enjoyed our day. Bonus: we got to see many roaming peacocks!

The tour representative, Akbar, was very helpful and attentive to our needs. He made it very easy to get our tickets and to explain what we're going to see and how to use the audio. The castle was amazing. The views of Lisbon were breathtaking. This was a great introduction to Portugal, it's history and culture. The only negative is the location... hard to reach if you take Uber. They can't get very close so you have to walk very steep hills and then back down.

We signed up for an escorted guide. All we got were the tickets and asked to have headphones or earpods so we can use the free audioguide. When we called the person just kept saying to use th entrance ticket. Total ripped off!

Sadly this was my first experience using Viator, and I won’t ever use them again. I purchased two “Skip the Line” tickets at a price of $61 total. I received a email telling me the designated ticket pick up place. No one ever showed at the meeting spot. My husband and I ended up going to the entry point for the Castle and we were told our bar codes we had were invalid. After much frustration we ended up purchasing tickets AGAIN at the gate. My first communication with “Fisal” (my supposed ticket person??) came at 5 pm asking “was everything ok?”. I was so angry. Also the information Viator sent in the email was also different than that of what Fisal communicated. I will tell everyone I know how horrible my experience was. I would love for someone to make this right.

Faisal sent us the tickets via wjatsapp. There was a long queue for the tickets so it was great to be able to skip it. The views from the castle are amazing and the peacocks are cute. There is a free audio guide to listen to but we didn't use it in the end. You can use youtlr ticket to enter anytime until 8pm
