We pickup in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway building on the road side of the building. You will be directly under tram cables located at 490 South Franklin St, Juneau Alaska. Look for your guide who will be holding up a Segway sign. Please be 10-15 minutes before tour start time. Thanks!

Ame and Merrick were great guides, friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the segways. I wasn't sure I was going to get used to it but I did and it was fun!

When its one's first time riding a Segway, it is easy to wonder if you can really ride them. They are easy to pick up, and our guides are experts at teaching guests how to ride safely and properly. There is no reason to stress or fear the Segways!

You have to be a but fit and not scared to segway. The instructors were SUPER helpful and knowledgeable. It was all around a great experience!

Thank you for sharing your experience! Riding a Segway is not complicated, and you do need to be able to balance. Our guides are expert Segwayers and are trained to teach people to ride, regardless of the riders Segwaying experience. It really is fun and a unique way to see Alaska!

We had no Segway experience but Alli and Merrick provide great instruction and it was a great way to travel. Alli and Merrick were enthusiastic and knowledgeable and the scenery fabulous. A wonderful introduction to Alaska!

It has been our goal over the years to get the training dialed in to make it as intuitive as possible. We have worked hard with our crew to make sure they provide you with a memorable experience. This was a phenomenal experience. Would highly recommend. Although I am glad my parents didn’t come because the balance issues on the way back down the hill on the Segway had me rocking and scrambling to slow down. Stressed me out. We had an eagle land, probably 20 yards in front of us and hang out, which was pretty cool and we could see the mountain off in the distance. William stopped several times and took pictures for us since we were the only two in the tour so he was our personal tour guide. So kind and patient! If you don’t feel like you have great balance, I recommend the E bikes instead of the Segways but otherwise well worth the money.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I am so glad you had fun. Balance is an important aspect of riding a Segway and we ask all our guests to confirm and test their balance prior to riding. That being said, we so have our eBike tour which is also lots of fun for those who may struggle with balancing.

We loved this adventure! Our guides, Dan and Carli, were fantastic and very knowledgeable about Alaskan wildlife, history and plants. We started the tour with the Mendenhall Glacier as our stunning background. The tour ended in an enchanting rain forest with a hike down to the ocean. Segways are always fun for the kids. Highly recommend this tour!

Carli and Dan were fantastic guides for myself, my wife, and three teenage kids! They patiently taught us how to use the Segway before we toured Douglas Island into a temperate desert. I would absolutely recommend this excursion and these guides.

Such a fun way to see Juneau! Away from the crowds and a little bit of everything: fun and easy to maneuver Segway; views of Mendenhall glacier; waterfalls; flowers; trees and plants, RAINFOREST!; eagles; seal catching jumping fish!; tranquil nature.
Phoenix was a wonderful, knowledgeable and patient tour guide, as well as a local with insider intel.
This was my first time using a Segway and it was super easy to learn and use. The tour included a short van ride, Segway tour, mini-hike, water and snack, and access to a restroom (ok, it’s a port-a-potty but I wasn’t complaining!!!) I recommend this tour wholeheartedly.

Having never ridden a Segway before, I was a bit apprehensive. I was thr only person who had paid for the coastal tour which no other people had signed up for, so they called and let me change to the other option. It was the most most fun I've had on an excursion. I highly recommend for the excitement, the caring nature of the guides, and the experience. An excellent tour to enjoy in Juneau.

We loved it! Took the college kids. A must do. Just got back from our Segway tour. It was fun and chilly and rainy. We walked through a rain forest at the end of the both of our guides are seasonal workers who go to school at BYU. One is from Utah and the other from Tennessee. They were excited to lead us!

The most important part of what you said is that even though it can be rainy and chilly, the tours are still fun! Juneau is part of North America's largest Temperate Rainforest, meaning some days it is wet and cold. However, you get such an authentic Southeast Alaskan experience when you get to experience rain here. Thank you for sharing your experience riding with us!

Tyler and Dan were excellent guides. Everything was easy and well thought out. Tyler was right at the map pin location. I liked how the Segways had walkie talkies attached to them and the guides used them to narrate during the tour. That's a really smart idea. We've done other Segway tours where there is no narration while you are riding--just at the stops.
Tyler and Dan were very, very knowledgable about all things Alaska. Tyler particularly kept things flowing well from start to finish. Also Dan's asides where he nerded out on Alaska's nature/biology/history was really interesting.
I've done ebike tours and segway tours and definitely prefer segway tours because you actually get to enjoy and take in the scenery more versus being on an ebike. Only advantage of an ebike tour is you can cover alot more distance.

We were Segway first-timers and our guide, Dan, did a great job giving us instructions and guidance on becoming comfortable on the Segways. The weather was rainy and Dan was a trooper to share his time and knowledge with us during the Segway and rainforest part of the tour. Dan has the heart of a teacher and told us all about the plants and trees as we trekked down to the coast. I would recommend this tour.

We were picked up and drove about 15 minutes to Douglas Island where Dan taught us to properly use Segway. We cruised up the road with a couple of stops where guide pointed out sites, gave us some history of the glaciers, sea life and landscape. We then hiked a bit through the rainforest and learned a lot about plants,trees and life cycle of the forest. Guide was able to use humor and make things interesting.

This was a great experience! The guide came prepared with gloves (it was a very cold rainy day in June), snacks, waters, and was extremely knowledgeable about the rainforest. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this tour! It was really cold and rainy, but our guides did an incredible job keeping us excited. We loved the time on the segways. They were easy to use and the views and hike through the rainforest made it a wonderful excursion!

This experience includes riding a Segway along the coastline and a small hike on the rainforest trail. It was everyone’s first time on a Segway, and the instructors were fabulous teachers that made us feel safe.

RJ and William were great guides, very personable and answered all of our questions. However, the tour description is misleading, as it is in fact just a ride along the highway and a walk through the park. On the whole, we were expecting more.

We are sorry that you felt the route was not what you expected. As described this route does follow the most incredibly beautiful Coastline of North Douglas Island featuring amazing views along the way, even in the words of many guests "the best view of Mendenhall Glacier." We have received reviews that say that "the tour far exceeds their expectation," we are sorry it did not meet yours. Maybe our other Segway tour (Alpine Wilderness Adventure) would have been a better fit for your party as it is an off-road experience that runs on a packed gravel path through the rainforest. Please know that, if ever you have any questions about tours, you can always call the operator and ask specific questions as they can guide you to a tour that would specifically meet your needs. Thank you for sharing how wonderful our guides are and how they are so knowledgeable and personable. They work hard to give great tours for our guests. We had a great time on our excursion. Lovely scenery and area for this activity. We seen a bald eagle whilst out and about as well as seals near the water.
I had expected to be on the Segway for 3 hours however we stopped for a walk and break to a view point through the forest. I would have liked a bit longer on the Segway but that’s just my personal preference.
I also liked that this was a small group activity. Would highly recommend to others assuming you are aware you are not on the Segway for the full 3 hour duration. I would have liked to have seen this noted on the booking prior to attending.
The young chap who took the trip was very knowledgeable, friendly and good company. He brought us water, snacks, gloves and ponchos which was greatly appreciated for the wet day we had. Unfortunately I cannot remember the guides name but he was super helpful and a lovely guy.

Had a great time learning to ride a Segway with the help of a great teacher, Phoenix, who was an excellent guide for our entire adventure as well! The ride was great even though we had bouts of rain throughout. Our hike into the rain forest was fun and educational. Pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed this excursion! Highly recommend.

We were a little concerned with the rain in Juneau. Fortunately, we took a shuttle about 20 minutes outside of the city and... NO RAIN! Phoenix was our guide and he did an amazing job! We would definitely recommend a tour with him! The road we were on and the views were amazing. We had a nice cloud break and were able to see the Mendenhall glacier across the lake. The meet-up, transportation, equipment, and guide was all fantastic - great day in Juneau!
