This was possibly the best, and one of the most informative tours I’ve ever taken in my life. Mark was our tour guide, and he was beyond exceptional. Genuinely, one of the nicest, most knowledgeable people you’ll come across when it comes to the History of Charleston and South Carolina, in general. This tour took us everywhere you could want to go, and then some. Genuinely, the additional times through the alley’s made it a more personable experience because you visit areas of Charleston you do not expect to be public access. There’s so much more I could write, but Mark made this an incredible experience and I would recommend this tour and Mark, himself, to literally anyone wanting to know more about the history of Charleston. 5 stars, and I’d give 6 if I could!!

It was such a pleasure to have a guide speak so passionately about his love for history and Charleston. Mark took our group through streets and alleyways and shared fascinating facts about the history, people, and architecture of Charleston. Mark was the perfect person so have given this tour; his enthusiasm was contagious and his expert knowledge flooded out the entire 2 hours. He was so kind to answer all of our groups questions and elaborated further. He was also so generous to offer to stay behind after the tour was done if anyone had any further questions, or if we needed help navigating to any restaurants nearby. The 2 hours absolutely flew by - it was such a fun way to get acquainted with Charleston.

Evans was a great guide. He was funny, informative and kept the group of 13 moving at a good pace. It was a typically hot mid 90s July day but no one left the tour early…it was too good. Evans, a native Charlestonian, packed a look of info into this 2 hour tour and, at the end, gave us a great info on other sites in the city. Highly recommend.

It was a great walking tour, learned a lot about the history of Charleston. Beautiful homes, churches and interesting alley ways! Mark was a fantastic tour guide, fun and informative!! Also he recommended 82 Queen for shrimp and grits!! We went there and it was delicious!!

Had a great two hour walking tour with Mark. He was entertaining and was very passionate about Charleston. He was a history buff and we really enjoyed the stories he shared with us. We learned a lot. It was hot and humid on the day of our tour but Mark did his best to find shade for us as we walked down streets and passageways.
