Excellent walking tour that really gets you to know the city you are in. Do it as soon as you get to Charleston
The tour guide was so knowledgeable and made the time go much too quickly. Being told of all the things that happened in history makes the tour truly special.

Thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour through the streets and alleys of downtown and south Charleston! Our tour guide, Mark, was outstanding with his extensive historical knowledge and personal experiences to enlighten us (with a keen since of humor) about many unique facts about Charleston from its inception through the Revolutionary and Civil Wars and up to today! He shared all of his knowledge of cultural, historical, plus architectural insights that we’d never known before - despite our several visits here and several other tours we’ve previously taken. We would definitely recommend this tour and hopefully you’ll get Mark as your guide!
Our tour guide Evans clearly loves his job and has incredible knowledge of the history of Charleston, as well as the current goings-on of the historical real estate downtown Charleston! We did the 9:30am tour, and fortunately it was mostly shaded, but still VERY hot! But still glad we did it; certainly would not have discovered the plethora of historical facts ourselves. Thanks Evans!

I enjoyed seeing the beautiful historic homes, streets, and landmarks while learning so much about the city. We loved that there were plants called out, which we may not know as much about as out-of-towners. We saw alleys we hadn't walked through before - hard to know which are private residential versus walkable so that made this tour very helpful!
We’re from the west coast so the heat/humidity was pretty bad. Recommend early or late tours in mid September.

I’ve never done a guided tour before, even though I travel quite a bit, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I did this tour solo, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had. The guide was fantastic knowledgeable, engaging, and made the whole experience so enjoyable. I enjoyed it so much that I’ll definitely be doing guided tours again in every city I visit in the future. It’s an amazing tour especially to do at the beginning of your visit. Duggar went over several historic locations I wish I’d known about so I could visit them. Duggar, our tour guide, was both knowledgeable and a fun tour guide.
