Lots of walking, as to be expected. Not allowed to enter any of the buildings or cemetery. Interesting tour. Guide does not return the group to starting point so you're left to find your way back in an unknown city at night.

We were very disappointed in the tour. We did NOT go to 3 of the 5 locations listed on the itinerary!!! We stopped on a busy street with lots of traffic going past, very distracting. We spent about 40 minutes in that location. It was a waste of time and money. When I asked for a refund due to not going to the locations on the itinerary it was denied. "These are possible stops on the tour"... NO, NO, NO It would be like booking a flight and they decide the flight itinerary is optional!!!! You can't do business like that it is poor and misleading!! I travel to Charleston once or twice a year to visit family, we will not do another tour with this company in the future. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR!!!!

It is a walk to a few spots and then you listen to the stories. It is NOT a 90-minute walk. Our guide used foul language freely as part of the tour??? Her attire did not make it is easy to signify that she was the tour guide.

My coworker and I did the 9 pm tour, which I was thankful for because it was still hot and suppppper muggy!
Veronica led us around and told us some really cool stories. I love historical information, and mixing it with muuuUrrrrddDer was fascinating! She was funny and informative. And I think it’s really interesting how some of the places where these events happened are still affected by or pay homage to them (like the cross in the window of St. Michael’s).
I try to do one of these tours in any cool city I visit, and I was not disappointed. It was 90 min, but one of the longer stories was told near a lower wall you could sit on. Most of the other stops were brief, and there really wasn’t a lot of walking. Believe me when I say I am not built for humidity, so while I was pouring sweat, it never felt like we were overexerting ourselves. Highly recommend!

Very unprofessional. Didn't go into any of the places in the tour. Stopped under music speakers to talk. Some of the other tour participants were more interesting than the guide. No credentials. I have taken numerous other tours booked through viator and I question if he was even a guide

David was nice and a good guide. He seemed knowledgeable of the history of Charleston. I am not sure why this was adults only, seemed like any tour could have given the same information, just without using swear words. My mom and I were kind of over it halfway through but stayed until the end. We did not end at the beginning point and this was not completely wheelchair friendly. I had to help out another couple as parts of the tour she had to get out of her wheelchair. My mom has a bad hip, and I wish we would have just gone on the carriage tour or a tour where you at least got to go inside a place, like the dungeon. Was still nice to hear all the stories and history, though. I would recommend, but don't expect much other than ghost stories/history, which you could prob get on the other tours as well.

The tour seemed to be unorganized from the beginning, as the 3 tour guides were dividing groups. Who was checking people and who should not.
Ghost tour was more like a history tour. Not scary and feel parts of the tour was skipped over.

We took this tour and found our guide Emery to be a great storyteller in learning about the past darker history of Charleston. I wish it was a little more gruesome but I’m macabre. Would highly recommend and thank Emery for her knowledge and humor.

There were some very interesting stories. The particular toiu guide we hd was a little too snarky for my taste, and I am snark friendly most of the time. Note, this tour does not go by the Unitarian graveyard.

I love a good crime show on TV so I thought this tour would be perfect for me. It is definitely not for anyone younger than 16 (per the tour company). While the description says that you start and end at the same point, we did not. We ended about 4 blocks away from where we started. While the female serial killer story was great, the rest of the tour was so so.

The guide, I believe, was purposely silly and kitschy. But...the description did not really match the tour. Web were obviously not expecting to see ghosts, but its was supposed to be spooky with stories about ghosts, brothels, cemeteries and it was just meh and corny.

Seth was guide and it was so informative, easy to listen to and was eager to answer any questions. It wasn’t a scary tour, more of a history tour which I loved. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys learning the history of Charleston.
